Is God someone that can be murdered?

I recently read an article that was on the crucifixion.  It mentioned certain people present that were guilty of murdering Jesus. Reminded me of a "Christian" televangelist I was listening to some years ago. He expressed anger against the Jewish people for killing his Lord, Jesus Christ. He went as far as to say that when Jesus returns He would exact revenge against them, the Jewish people.  Nonsense of course.  But this group had a substantial following.  A few years ago I remember a group of folks who built a life size replication of the Ark. They said that they were going to, "..take back Gods rainbow ". 

  Is God someone whom ordinary people can just take things from Him at will? I know that we can be guilty of robbing him of tithes and offerings.  But that is more of a breach of contract. I set life up so that you can earn this, you give back to My store houses that..

  Here is being said that someone stole His weapon of war, His Bow, and even the Life of His Son, Jesus.

  Truth is,  His Bow is still where He left it. I did a random survey,  a word association.  I say, Up...response is down.  Left...right. in...out. Rainbow... / Out of 10 people how many do you think responded Gods Promise?  Gods Bow hasn't been stolen, rather there is an attempt to hijack the true meaning of it. 

  And of the death of His Son Jesus, it wasn't murder. Nobody in all of Creation is anywhere near capable of taking Gods life. His Life wasn't taken,  His Life was given. He wasn't murdered, He was Sacrificed.  Jesus knew why He was sent by the Father and He WILLFULLY ACCEPTED this fate. He stopped Peter from trying to interfere in this Devine Destiny.

What other truths are under attack? Gen 3:22-24?

  Christian Folk hold dear the truths we have been entrusted with.  What do we do with them? Luke 8:16.

There are many ways to view his death....    from the hearts of the Pharisee's, it was murder, but you are right in that Jesus could have stopped it any time he decided to.  From God's eyes it was the sacrifice you state.  From Jesus eyes was the ultimate act of love for us.

I think we are forgetting that Jesus prayed that the Father would take the burden of the cross away from Him. He then also said none the less thy will be done. Jesus gave His life freely. Yes, He could have saved himself but chose not to.

God did not die. The man Christ Jesus died (1 Timothy 2:5) and rose from death on the third day (Matthew 17:23) that we might be with him forever and ever (Romans 14:9).

Jews are no more Christ killers than anyone else whoever lived and therefore sinned!

So to anyone who would dare call another Christ killer, let them look long and hard in the mirror!!!

You know, it really burns my fanny when ignorant Gentiles point the finger of accusation at the Jewish people!

At the very least, even if you do not like them, you should heed the open ended covenant God made with Abraham about his people:

Well, we can point the finger and accusations for murder at the leaders of Judaism at that time.  They went out of thier way for selfish reasons to have the romans kill him.    However that is not the Jewish people who did that, just a very few at the top and some that listened to them.   I agree that it wasn't the Jewish people that caused his death.   

That would be like blaming me (and other patriots) for what President Biden is doing. 

The Jewish people as a whole has been a blessing to the world in general.   Besides Judaism of today, is not the religion of the days of Moses.   but that's a long discussion and would mess up this thread which is important.

We need to look at the story of Abraham when he was going to sacrifice his son on the alter. God said He would make the sacrifice. Some people believe Abraham was actually at Calvary the exact spot where Jesus went to calvary for the joy set before him. When we read the whole bible and not just take things out of context there is a lot to explain what is going on.

Murder is the unlawful taking of human life.

Jesus's ' trial ' was illegally held after dark.

No witnesses wre producd who agreed in their testimonies.

He was convicted by being asked a leading question under oath.

All three were unlawfull in Jewish law.

Jesus was murdered by a judical exceution.

 

That is the human side of the story.

 

We also need to remember that he willingly went to pay for All our sins.

Literally every sin that has, is or will be committed was paid for at calvary.

While the terminally stupid can say it was the jews who crucified him, unfortunetly on two counts that is incorrect.

The romans nailed him to the cross, raised the cross up, guarded him, thrust a spear through his side and took the body down, but we through our sin put him there.
