I see no further point in discussing this with someone who would rather lean upon their own understanding by muddying the waters then accept the black and white truth presented in the Word of God.

Abortion is murder. Across the board. Pretty black and white.

The Bible never mentions abortion at all, of the type currently being practiced.

So therefore it is you that is leaning upon your own understanding.

The closest thing that I find in the Bible concerning a potential voluntary abortion is when Jesus said of Judas that "It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.”

Two other Bible verses should also be noted:

Genesis 38:24 And it came to pass, about three months after, that Judah was told, saying, “Tamar your daughter-in-law has played the harlot; furthermore she is with child by harlotry.” So Judah said, “Bring her out and let her be burned!”

Leviticus 21:9 ‘The daughter of any priest, if she profanes herself by playing the harlot, she profanes her father. She shall be burned with fire."

Since the daughter of a priest would not advertise her fornication, the most likely case of her exposure would be like that of Tamar: she is found to be pregnant.

The penalty was death, which would include both the woman and her unborn child.

So in some OT cases, the killing of unborn Israelite children was sanctioned.

"Jewish tradition is sensitive to the sanctity of life, and does not permit abortion on demand. However, it sanctions abortion under some circumstances because it does not regard the fetus as an autonomous person. This is based partly on the Bible (Exodus 21:22-23), which prescribes monetary damages where a person injures a pregnant woman, causing a miscarriage. The Mishnah (Ohalot 7:6) explicitly indicates that one is to abort a fetus if the continuation of pregnancy might imperil the life of the mother. Later authorities have differed as to how far we might go in defining the peril to the mother in order to justify an abortion. The Rabbinical Assembly Committee on Jewish Law and Standards takes the view that an abortion is justifiable if a continuation of pregnancy might cause the mother severe physical or psychological harm, or when the fetus is judged by competent medical opinion as severely defective. The fetus is a life in the process of development, and the decision to abort it should never be taken lightly. "

No one hears about abortion after rape, because up until now, it wasn't a political football.

Rapes in homes, on the street especially with under age girls and legal women ...the abortion is conducted privately as opposed to the news media debating the issue. All other matters concerning the rape are handled by the legal system.

The Democrats have no business bringing up an Ohio matter when they themselves don't know the issues surrounding the rape.

Every hospital in America doesn't call a press conference concerning an abortion because of a rape. No one knows except for the small circle of influence that the victim and the rapist are involved in.

It's better to let the legal system decide what to do about the rape and the victim. States across the county have dealt with a neighboring state when the pregnancy has gone past the restrictions of state law.

Fortunately no one shouts it from the rooftops. In other words, leave it alone and let the state's deal with the issue. That's why there will be 50 different laws.

In all fairness, the issue regarding the juvenile was publicized and thus politicized by a Republican Attorney General. This individual has created a dog and pony show surrounding this horrible affair, so little wonder a media circus is the result.

The danger of political thinking is thus: the one who politicizes non-political matters is blinded. Those who follow them end up in the ditch.

My point being ... this happens all the time. It became a political football because of the SCOTUS decision.

My wife was the Head Nurse at the largest Maternity Department in the largest hospital in Birmingham. She made many calls to Atlanta to have a  rape victim or incest victim transported by the state to get the abortion and then be brought back to Alabama.

I suggest it was publicized by the group afraid that they will lose the right to abortion.. the left. it has also been publicized by those who see the harm in open borders since the one impregnating daughter and mother was  not one who came in the legal way and has a history of this behavior.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
