It is a choice to be on Social media. Christians should be aware of the negative aspects of it. We need to remember that there are many atheists and things on Social media that a genuine born again Christian can be subject to. There is a positive aspect of Social media and that is a Christian can post things for God. People like to stay connected with their friends and relatives who they do not often see. I have chosen to stay off of social media.

I have enjoyed electronics for decades.  I worked in a Savings and Loan that had computers in 1975 and that got me started!

Email was my friend when all we had was email.  I would tell everyone, "You check you mail box every day why would you not check your email box?"  I loved the movie "You've Got Mail!"

I joined Facebook on July 29, 2008 after waiting a couple of years to see what it was all about and then got my family on it.  Now I do not enjoy it as much because so many people just repost 20 or 30 other things daily and have very little to say on a personal level.  The ads drive me crazy now that almost every other post is an ad. My grandkids tend to use Instagram so I check it a couple times a week just so I can see the photos.  I've been thrown off Twitter two times so I have learned to stay away since I cannot seem to keep my mouth shut about controversial issues and my stance on certain things.  I have been anti-government since Vietnam when they drafted and killed several of my 18 year old friends.  I have very conservative beliefs so those get me into trouble on social media.  Even here on Worthy, since we do not all believe the same about many things.

My basic opinion: Social Media is extremely anti-social today and has ruined normal, everyday conversation for a couple of generations.  If the internet went down today I would still be able to function in the old fashioned ways of course.  I would miss all of you though but hopefully we would still have email!  Email started in 1971 but I did not do my first emails until 1975 at the S&L.  At home we started computing at home with a Commodore 64 but home internet did not come to our rural town until the the early 1990's and that was a dial-up connection.  Our first computer system was a Micron and we have been online since then so close to 30 years.  Electronics can be wonderful tools when used properly.

"You've Got Mail" was also one of my favorite movies years ago. Remember AOL? If you had email it would say " you've got mail". I did not have a computer at home for a long time. I had one at work.

TV, movies, computers, social media, magazine, music, newspapers, news stations, radio, ....

...some of it is NOT for Christians.

Some of it is benign.

Use the wisdom of God for discernment and stay away from what is evil and enjoy/fellowship/work with what can be helpful.

Hmm I can't answer that for anyone but me so I don't use it. I was using Facebook for a little while but things they did like banning what some believers posted about Christ got gets banned and what they stand for and believe I can't be apart of. I stopped using it. All the other ones...nope never use them. My wife never has.. why she does not haha she just does not. We have one phone and she does not want one. A phone I always mostly forget to take lol

Now some love to just talk with friends show all kinds of things to each other praise GOD. If something is of this part of this world why am I there or  doing it? Not the same but its what comes to mind. This place I got a job at ooh was so beautiful inside and people were nice to talk to. I would just  change the reals of the film as it was getting developed. But ...oh the song by Petra "In the likeness of you" ...but every day I got there I felt sick and the moment I left it was gone. So I dug and found it was some porn place. Oh you would never have known what they do in the back ground.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
