Trust me when I say, I do understand completely, and have been there, yet deciding not to confront the man perpetrator.
I was genuinely afraid what I would do. Cross the line.   God closed the door.  Not I but Christ in me. Abide.

John 15 is my Favorite and most studied new testament chapter.
Abide; stay in a given place. Remain.continue, stay, pitch a tent, tabernacle.  (Home!)

Walk in the spirit, abide in Christ, acknowledge God about everything, trust His direction, and look for it.
And wait. (the hard part)

Amen Brother! We who are 'In Christ' are Truly New Creations. The reality of that and all that it entails is indeed a thing to seek to continually understand.

That is at the heart of what I strive to convey to folks and is summerized, the best that I can for consumption by the Holy Spirit in 'Salvation is Relocation'.

I don’t think we would be human if we all didn’t experience hatred and unforgiveness toward someone else in our lifetimes. Would I think some more than others?

Correct me if I am wrong, but here is a highly crude example:

A daughter is battered, molested, or murdered by someone. Do our immediate actions and thoughts turn to loving and forgiving that person(s) that did it at that moment?

I am relating to my personal life and hearing testimonies from other born-again believers, except for the Lord Himself.

It seems “forgiveness and love” is a process that requires a time of self-reflection of who we are and the Lord’s comfort, help, and mercy to overcome.

Many are not capable of that kind of forgiveness without the Lord and harbor lifelong hatred and retribution seeking revenge. Not to mention unforgiveness and hate causing mental and physical stress and health problems with early death.

We are human but....for those who are born again Christians we must repent and do our best to not be bitter towards each other.

John 6:37 (NKJVS) All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

First of, I came to a place of understanding bitterness, I mean rally understanding it, it affected my relationship with God, I prayed to be healed from the hurt in my life, that turned into bitterness, it’s a long story, I experienced bitterness for years, only God could heal me from all bitterness ,and slowly as I came to understand bitterness, it was all I ever knew and was scared to let it go,...I let it go and gave it to God and I know in my Spirit ,bitterness will never take hold again, as I know it well and recognise its ugliness straight away.

God has healed me of all bitterness, and filled me with more of His Love and His peace, Praise God!!

i surely hope that will happen with me...i 'live with it' as i have no idea anymore i guess i am so 'familiar with it now that i dont know any different' and dont know how to let go like i said its miserable as you will no doubt know

@existential mabel

May I suggest that considering the following examples in scripture and really consuming the 'Reality' and Truth' expressed with prayer will help you to move on from this place you seem to reside in.

First and foremost is: Rom. 8:28 (NAS20S)   And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Secondly: Gen. 50:15 (NAS20S)   When Joseph’s brothers had seen that their father was dead, they said, “ What if Joseph holds a grudge against us and pays us back in full for all the wrong which we did to him!” 16 So they sent instructions to Joseph, saying, “Your father commanded us before he died, saying, 17 ‘This is what you shall say to Joseph: “Please forgive, I beg you, the offense of your brothers and their sin, for they did you wrong.”’ And now, please forgive the offense of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him. 18 Then his brothers also came and fell down before him and said, “Behold, we are your servants.” 19 But Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in God’s place? 20 “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive.

We all know the story of how Joseph's brothers out of the evil hatred and jealousy in their hearts sold him into slavery and how God through a series of pre-determined events used that treachery to save Israel during the time of famine and all that followed--the Passover, the exodus, covenant and a Nation for His purpose--leading to the Birth of Christ.

What the brothers did was evil and they knew it andn in the end faced it squarely, but God was sovereign through that whole series of events. They meant it for evil, but God meant it for good.

In the same way, the tribulations that we face in this earthly life, God means for our GOOD.

Accepting and believing this with the help of the Holy Spirit will cause you to see things in a very different light. Those folks that harm us perhaps mean it for evil, but God turns it to and for Good. So, I suggest think about those things as being God's doing for you rather than dwelling on those that hurt you.

I do truly understand as I have known little else, since a young boy and until today, than betrayal and that by folks that I loved and who should have loved me.

It is simply believing the Lord that has kept me from Bitterness. Much pain yes--but that pain is a huge blessing in many ways.

Rom. 8:28 (NAS20S)   And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Embrace this Truth and make it yours. Make this Truth the place where you live.

God Bless and be comforted--I know the Lord just heard my prayer.

"Bitterness and unforgiveness can keep us out of heaven"

Not sure why this is well not really talked about here. Well its a lie not true. This can help those that believe only a few will be saved. No the only way anyone does not enter heaven is you do not believe ..you reject Jesus Christ came in the flesh died on the cross for the worlds sin was buried rose from the grave 3rd day and the only way to the Father.

Why these two only keep you out... something Christ missed when He died on the Cross. Hmm believe the word of God or what two women believe in some video/pod cast.

The ONLY thing that keeps people out of Heaven is unbelief in Jesus:

John 3:18 (AV)
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And the passages like if you do not forgive others your Heavenly Father will not forgive you... are Old Testament Law not New Testament Grace.  The dividing line between

Old Testament and New Testament (according to God's Word) is not between Malachi 4 and Matthew 1 but when Jesus died on the cross (Hebrews 9:16-17). Everything before

his death on the cross in each Gospel is Old Covenant Old Testament Law.

I believe this is true. Just like murder and sexual sin can too. I get what you are trying to say.

"But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent

has already committed adultery with her in his heart"
  Matthew 5:28

Thinking sins nets the same consequences as doing them. Believing as you do will be very scary.
I know. I used to believe the same way in the RCC. Never had peace. Then I found Grace.
Good luck with keeping the law.  PS, (Jesus paid it all (consequences of sin) It is His blood that saves, not our works)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
