Again, nobody knows the answer.  Psalms is poetry, which I have to say is very hard for me to understand.   I just don't think with that side of my brain.  So, to me, I take it more as an idea that some people are just evil and this is one way to state the fact.  Nothing is being said about the mentally disabled or ill person in this verse.

I know that some believe in predestination.  Maybe it doesn't matter what one's age is when they die IF everything is predestined.  If that's true, then I suppose some babies could die off into non-existence.  It's mysterious to me.

Predestination / Free Will is mans way of trying to understand how God determines the salvation of man.  I gave up trying to figure God out as He is so far above me it will never happen, so I just depend on faith in Christ to lead me and just let the chips will fall where they fall.  All I can do is be obedient and strive to be more like Him.

I'm with you but I still enjoy pondering God's ways and how everything works.

If so, isn't it better to be born that way rather than being made "normal" and thereby risk not receiving eternal life?

:noidea:

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

As was said above, our Bible does not explicitly say.

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Our Lord is omniscient and knows us all even before physical conception. Related questions would be, “does God make any mistakes in the womb?” Are fetuses in the womb living souls? Do they go to heaven or hell if they are aborted?

We know with absolute certainty that our Lord is Holy, just, faithful, righteous, and loving.

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. [emphasis added]

God’s thoughts are not our thoughts; God’s ways are not our ways. We put our complete faith and trust in Him.

Would it be fair and just for anyone who could not understand the concept of God or Salvation to be condemned?

I think that all honest hearts who study scripture, come to different conclusions regarding this issue because clearly there are scripture that seem to indicate both sides. However, we also must believe that scripture never contradicts itself. This leads to a place of trust, regardless of being fully settled or not. I am convinced in one direction, but I hold that loosely.

"His ways are past finding out"--therefore we must always keep that in mind.

This is a healthy position and can prevent sins of arrogance and pride and the like. And at the same time allow for an atmosphere of love and unity. The only True unity--which is the unity created by God Himself 'In Christ'. We are one because He willed it so.

I would say that everyone, at one time or another, digs deeper in order to find that jewel of knowledge and understanding.  Just keep a bottle of Tylenol with you for when you keep banging your head!  :)

Yes.  As I said earlier, it's fun and interesting to ponder about such things.

John 14:6-7
"I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.
NASB

I think Jesus is telling us that he and he alone makes that decision.   I have always felt that we should not put limits on Jesus as to who he may well pick and who he won't.

I do agree that is in interesting to ponder, but I would be very reluctant to tell anyone they are going to go to hell.

I would NEVER do that.  I hope that I have not sent the wrong signal.

It is my opinion that many of us will be surprised at who is in Christ of the Father and who is not...in the Last Day.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
