It happened that Jonah was disappointed that God finally cancelled the destruction of Nineveh.

Thank God Jonah has been taught and repented, otherwise it could be himself that will be desolated.

I'm sure some of Christians might happen to wish destruction upon unGodly people, such as "They will burn in hellfire, God will punish them eventually", etc.

But hoping for the destruction of the unGodly is the same as sowing the seed of loathe, destruction, rage, vengeance, and hostility. Whoever touch fire will get burned. Whoever build the house will live in it forever !

We ourselves don't own heaven, we don't know what will be found from ourselves at the other end of the rainbow, at the end of our journey. God told us to forgive as He still give the chance to every body. Why expect judgment ?

I used to be deceived by this arrogant attitude. Its very subtle, invisible and undetected like earthquake when it comes but it will really destroy peace. Really.

Blessings R...

Agree,we do not repay evil with evil! A spirit of vengeance is a shackle, with it comes a spirit of bitterness, resentment, anger, hatred and all Satan's minions .Feed the Spirit, starve the enemy!

A clean heart is Pleasing & Acceptable to our Lord God,having the Heart and Mind of Christ is what makes that Possible and in Him we can do ALL things- being Eternal Minded, vengeance is not something that comes to mind- if it does,it's a giant red flag that one is transgressing and that should bring us to our humble knees-!

And I might add that non forgiveness doesn't hurt anyone except the person who withholds it, even if the offending person doesn't ask for it.

And besides I have found that if a person really needs to be avenged, God does a much better Job of it; and in some cases keeps the offended person out of jail.

Good statement. I think of the Bible character of Job. God defended him against his three friends. I think of Joseph who was sold into slavery. His brothers ended up bowing down before him. I think of David. He put up with much of things Saul did to him and wouldn't judge Saul but sought to only show him love. God took care of Saul.

Might be interesting to look at when and how "The eye of Providence" first appeared  in US currency and ended up on  the one dollar bill. Here is one report on the subject for considering: http://greatseal.com/dollar/hawfdr.html

Of course the eye on a paper stock sees nothing at all.  These days it hardly even spends well.

It is a bit of a streeeetch to think  Rev. 18:24 refers to anything but what it clearly states within the fuller context of Revelation 18

Rev.18:24 speak of that all seeing eye, the Luciferian call it the great architect, responsible of all bloodshed. And America /allies to be used to orchestrate the great reset / NWO.

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary

18:20-24 That which is matter of rejoicing to the servants of God on earth, is matter of rejoicing to the angels in heaven. The apostles, who are honoured and daily worshipped at Rome in an idolatrous manner, will rejoice in her fall. The fall of Babylon was an act of God's justice. And because it was a final ruin, this enemy should never molest them any more; of this they were assured by a sign. Let us take warning from the things which brought others to destruction, and let us set our affections on things above, when we consider the changeable nature of earthly things.

Referencing Revelation 18:20-24 NKJV courtesy Biblegateway:

... “ 'Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her'

Finality of Babylon’s Fall

Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore. The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters shall not be heard in you anymore. No craftsman of any craft shall be found in you anymore, and the sound of a millstone shall not be heard in you anymore.  The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived.  And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.”

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
