This woman gives birth to a “Man child…a Male child” who was caught up to God and His throne…simple. 

6 “Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she *had a place prepared by God, so that there she would be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.” 

Then after the “birth” the woman flees into the “wilderness”…while the “child” is left on the “throne of God” again this is clear. A bit later on in that same chapter it is written of those who “overcame in Christ”…are on His throne with Him…read it for your self. 

(11)  “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.” 

Of course these are those which were born of…or separated from…the “woman” can you say “apostasy” and they are upon the throne of God "in Christ" from vs. 5...then a bit further on we see...

(15)  “And the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood.” 

The dragon (Satan) apparently attacks the “woman” in the wilderness who gave birth to the “man child who is now upon the throne of God” …it won’t be the only time he attacks her…lets read on. 

(17)  “So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.” 

So in apparent anger towards the “woman”…the dragon bails on the “woman in the wilderness.” He then goes off to “make war” with the “rest of her children.” The idea of “the rest of” denotes that when she “fled into the wilderness” she had “some of her children with her”...again the picture here is "apostasy." 

Those denoted here as “the rest of her children”…would be those which she birthed forth from vs. 5…these are the ones on the “throne of God”…as I keep telling you…here they are described as those who “keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus” 

Of course…those who “keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus”…are the “only ones” who “can be” or “allowed to be” "caught up to God and His throne" they are on the throne of God…for they are in Christ....and they are yet on the earth...because that is now where the "dragon is" as we are shown in vs. 9.

So…yes we are shown that a “remnant of her seed” are caught up to God and His throne...while on the earth as well. Yes I am aware that this undoes your "religious philosophy" Shilohsfoal...yours and many others…quite aware.

Seeing the dragon does not make war with the child that ascended to the throne of God.Id say the remnant of her seed is not sitting on the throne of God but is Insted upon the earth with the dragon that was cast down to the earth where the woman and the remnant of her seed are.

Ancient house of israel?

Who's talking about an ancient house of israel.This is speaking of the Lords land.Not a past kingdom.The Lords land is a future kingdom to come.

Nations will take them and bring them to their own place. And Israel will take possession of the nations and make them male and female servants in the LORD’s land. They will make captives of their captors and rule over their oppressors.

I'm not sure who you are saying will come out of Israel but I know and  understand who will be dwelling there during that time.And I understand who will be reigning over the nations during that time in the Lords land.

Well first off DeighAnn…verses 1 & 2 of chapter 11 appear to establish a background scenario…for vs. 3 and the introduction of the two witnesses…in a symbolic layout of the temple? We see mentioned…”temple of God, alter, those who worship there, the outer court.” 

Immediately when we do consider this detail…which is an important part of the prophecy…a “framing” of sorts appears for us…some “light” for the subject if you will. 

The ancient temple in Jerusalem is a “type or shadow”…in other words…a ”spiritual picture”…of the temple being measured here…because at this point in time…when John the apostle gets this prophetic vision…the temple in Jerusalem is gone. So it is not a measurement of the physical temple in any sense. 

The “inner court” is in view because the word “temple” as referenced here…”measure the temple of God”…is the term “naos”…commonly…the naos was called the “sanctuary.” In a Greek temple, the “naos” was where the altar and the image of the god whose temple it was…are located. That was what was called the sanctuary where the essence of the deity was housed. Here it seems to mean “where the Spirit or presence of God dwells.” 

The “outer court” is mentioned as being occupied by the “nations…gentiles…heathens”…in other words those “not in Christ”…it is important however to note…that they are in “proximity” to the “naos” of God. 

There was the “hieron”…a temple…either the whole building…or specifically the outer courts…and there was the “naos”...or “inner court”… that part of the temple where God himself resides…so it is no stretch to see the distinction between the “outer…unholy…and inner…Holy…courts.” 

With this approach…one immediately notices that the constituency of each of the “courts” is in “separation or in juxtaposition”…to each other…while sharing the same “building or house?” This will prove to be an important factor as we move forward here. 

Another very important fact is that we understand exactly what the “measuring rod like a staff” actually is…because it can measure the “naos” or presence of God. We need to consider why the “alter” is included in the measurement which then brings in those who “worship” in the “naos” of God. 

Remember this is all directly connected to revealing the identity of the “two witnesses.”
