Tyndale died in 1536. The translators of 1611 used already existing versions. The 1611 was later revised in 1629, 1638, 1762 and 1769.

Intriguing. I am not a fan of 2022 KJV, it changed John 3:16.

Not even familiar with than one.

I think most ppl would recite John 3.16 in the familiar version of the KJV.

I found this article by Crossway very helpful:

https://www.crossway.org/articles/we-should-expect-frustration-when-reading-the-bible/

So often we want The Bible to be jigsaws to make a puzzle complete, when it can be a rubix cube that rubs us the wrong way. Knowing its normal to get frustrated and even feel unable to reconcile a passage or verse like an Algebra equation is freeing! That just like when a subject in school drove us to exasperation, tears, and torment, we did one day understand it, and went forward!

Thank you.. but for me its never frustration. Over time and its been allot of time lol I have learned to read to ask to pray to wait. The sweet holy Spirit within me always leads and guides. Always.. I don't doubt that. I know if I get stuck I just ask.. then I am seeking reading studying and in some way He always gives the answer. I just leaned not to put GOD on some time clock. Now things I do in my life that are not 100% for Christ can put a wall or something between me and him so makes it much harder to hear. Like been looking for this tool man I been looking for days. I always repent but sometime I forget. I was not thinking about the tool but just telling the Father.. I am so sorry for.. blah blah blah. It had to be from the heart.

I then needed that tool. Picture popped up in my head "its there". I go look and? Its right there. I wonder if we know the little things in our lifes that can make it hard some times to hear. But.. just know He will tell you.. be glad rejoice.. thank Him for already telling you. He knew you would that before you did and already set in motion the answer.. I LOVE THAT praise YOU FATHER..

If frustration is a problematic world, perhaps substitute befuddled, exasperated, or left in a state of perplexity of how to do application of said verse. :)

there is learning process and running to experts is not always the way. For they are fallible scholars, they can be way off.

And who do we learn from? Are we to sit in solitary cells struggling to understand something we don't  comprehend or do we learn through communal service, worship and study as well as through learning with someone else.

Yes there are false teachers out there, how does a new Christian learn what is true or false?

In the same way that they learn this, so they learn which commentaries or which authors can be trusted.

Which is far better than in isolation misunderstandings  scripture  and developing  a heretical view.

If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:26)

Study has to be done in depth on these issues, God loves His whole creation, He had no reason to hate Esau, the Hebrew word does not mean that and likewise the Greek word used here also does not mean hate per se, when studied both words mean "Love Less" in other words God is telling us we should love God more than our parents (of course) and we should love them less than Him. Likewise God loved Jacob more than Esau, He chose Jacob over Esau. I have found that if we see a contradiction, its never of God, it is us who misinterpret, mistranslate (long ago) or become confused by two passages we can not bring together via a consensus of agreement.

For instance God says in Dan. 7:11 the Beast will be killed, his body destroyed. In Rev. 19:20 the scriptures say the F.P. and Beast will be cast alive into hellfire, this confuses people, I decided to never move on until God gives me an answer, it works, just like it did with the Gospels when I asked as a young Christian. So, the Lord showed me, Dan. 7:11 says he is killed, so he is killed, thus Rev. 19 has to be in  error right? Wrong, we as humans only sleep (Daniel 12:1-2 says so as does 1 Cor. 15:50-52) we are eternal beings, so instead of allowing the Beast to rest in the grave for Jesus 1000 year reign like all of the rest of the wicked do, until the Second Resurrection (of the dead) Jesus orders angels to throw them alive (meaning to not allow them to rest in the grave) immediately. Now there is no contradiction.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
