When you say outside the church I assume you mean outside gatherings. These days I am aware of so many passages that are telling us just to remain or abide in what is true. So practically speaking that means we do need to be turning to Him, praying and calling on his name while we are not in the gatherings or with other believers.

Also having his word in our heart and speaking His word I think are good ways to just let what already is true saturate our thinking more and more. This way our minds are renewed daily to experience walking in the reality that is from him.

I guess the plural goes away out in the field, yet we are never alone.

We always walk in the Spirit, serving the Lord all day long no matter where we happen to be or what we happen to be doing. Why?

The Lord dwells with us, and we dwell with Him. :)

Perhaps our ( Christians) default is one of conflict, conflict between flesh and spirit.

We could make a quality decision to put away the desires of the flesh by the power of God's Word and the Holy Spirit within and quit being in conflict!

Galatians 5:16
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Quality Decision = a decision about which there
is NO debate, from which there is NO retreat.

It's not for sissies and Sunday morning quarterbacks!

You make a point, and we should discern the good decision from the not so good when we are call to do that.

But we are not 100% healthy when we find our selves in that cross road...Jesus accepted us as we were...with all the afflictions of body mind and Spirit.

And he won't put a heavy burden on any one to asked them to be someone they are not ready to be. It took a long time to be in the place he finds us and he knows that it can take some time to shape us in the same way some other people are but he does not have to wait for that time to quide us by the Holy Spirit.

We have examples where people who had not believe yet were quided and follow the Holy Spirit as was the Aithiopian Man who met Philip in the dessert. At that time he did not know that the Holy Spirit quided him to Philip who was waiting for him to pass by.

We must understand that the Spirit of the world can quide believers in considering the things of the world. And how much more the Holy Spirit can influence the thoughts and actions of believers who live in the world and many other people who are in the world including no believers.

This is truth for those who are dedicated in the work the Lord has entrusted them, and whom Jesus love. The very mature ones.

But there are times He let us be on our own. He let us be the decision makers and he let us be the light to others.

There times that we need to be tested...he let us on our own...would we get angry, would we let anger rule over our thoughts and words and our actions?

Jesus said the Father loves me and whatever I ask he will do it.

And as we needed other people at the beginning to guide us he make us quide other people because this what they need to be quided by others...that's why he gave us Pastors. Till the time we learn to discern his voice and his quidance and we are not in doubt. If that happens.

Also we can be quided by the Holy Spirit without us being consious about that and he can do that to others even to none believes...he can bring them to us, he can put them in our path, just like he put the Aithiopian Man in the path of Philip.

The H.S guided Philip to the eunich, who was on his way home from worshipping God in Jerusalem

Jesus chose the disciples 'as they were'...(although they were already searching for Him).but they weren't the same around three years later. Jesus' Spirit had transformed them.

Us Christians can't excuse ourselves for being as we were. We need to mature.

Those that have been born again are.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Those that claim the flesh is the default have no understanding of what a Christian even is are are deceived.

Romans 8:13,14
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

James 1:22-25
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
