Thoughts on Forgiveness

Slights ARE personal so I don’t Agee that we have a problem if we take it that way.

I am sometimes very firm and I probably offend people, but I would rather get my point across than have them think I would rather be liked than tell the truth. Telling the truth in love is sometime steel and not velvet. The necessary ingredient in both cases is love . Either soft love or tough love. It’s still love. I seldom use the steel version. 
If the person responsible is still trouble others will see it too and so it comes out. The goal isn’t to be right, the goal is to be true.

Ya know that is a good point  posed as a question!

I think I do better than I did in my younger years, and have for some time now with one simple step. I just don't take offense in the first place.

No, I accept that they are one.  An indivisible  whole that works in conjunction with itself in total and inseparable unity.

You believe something g incredible  and unbiblical. 

Jesus became man, was obedient to his Father's will, clearly had thoughts and feelings that were different to his Father's and he sent the Holy Spirit out on his return.

 

These all show that the trinity involves three separate  yet united in one individuals.

I don't see it that way.  I don't see Jesus as ever being separated from the whole of God.

But each of us will go before the judgment (It is appointed to each man once to die ant then the judgment) and I'm comfortable with my belief being acceptable to him.

It is Jesus that will be doing the judgment, so take it up with him when that time comes if you feel it is important.

I believe Christians should be prepared with an expectation of slight for their beliefs at times. Jesus promised us the opposite of everyone getting along.

If I say anything about that in a group of unbelievers I am accused of having a "martyr complex" . The cry baby with thin skin. That isn't really it. I mean, no I don't like to have enemies for my beliefs, however we will suffer in one way or the other for having our beliefs. 

Most of my issues have been with fellow believers. Go figure. I suspect at least a handful of them are goats and not sheep. Other times I had a problem and I handled it the wrong way, so it was definitely my problem. Other times I payed for standing up for what was right. 

I'll bet if you gave me some time I could offend you ;) 

Not that I would ever want to. I don't.

Yes we  forgive them, but if what they are doing is wrong we should not agree with it. We need to repent of any wrong thoughts which can be hard to sort in the first place.
