I believe you` re getting close. The `woman` is sitting upon the many waters - the nations of the world. And the `beast` is the Global Government being formed by those nations. The 7 heads, are 7 leaders that rule consecutively over the global Government. `Heads` means leaders and `kings` means Political. 

There are not 7 kingdoms but one great Global Government. It is forming now and will be the Final Gentile Global Government that God will judge before He sets up His rulership through Israel over the nations.

Looking at this GG forming today we see the G 20 is the foremost group that oversees much of the world. It has a leadership rotation of five (5) leaders. When that has finished then the 6th will come and then finally the A/C the 7th. By then East and West will have been deceived to work together.

Lets break this down a bit more.It depends on which translation you use to define the seven kings.I agree there are seven mountains on which Jerusalem sits.But to he following verse is not talking about mountains.Itbis talking about kings.Notice the KJV does not say they.Itvsays There and there are many more translations that say there Insted of they.This changes the meaning of the verse entirely.

 

Revelation 17:10

And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

 

 

now I understand these kings as being the kingdoms that have ruled over Israel.They are five which have fallen ,

Egypt

Assyria

Babylon

Persia

Greece

 

 

One that was at the time John wrote revelation

Rome

 

 

One that came and continued a short space after the Jews returned.

Great Britton

 

 

And the beast which attacks Jerusalem and conquers the prostitute.

 

Persia-aka Iran

There will be ten other nations which give their strength to Iran to defeat the prostitute.There is more on Iran.

 

 

Thats how I see it.

 

 

Jerimiah 51:11

Sharpen the arrows, take up the shields! The LORD has stirred up the kings of the Medes, because his purpose is to destroy Babylon. The LORD will take vengeance, vengeance for his temple.

 

God shall give the prostitute over to Iran after apostate Israel has persecuted and killed the saints in Israel (the temple).

 

 

 

The Medes have one goal .Understanding their religion is a key to understanding the war of armegeddon.Their goal is to attack the armed forces in Israel,destroy that army and kill all the Jews.They are told to do this after a severe three year drought in the Hadith which is exactly when the beast from the abyss attacks Jerusalem in revelation 11.That beast does not attack the entire world nor does it attack seven countries .It attacks Jerusalem 3.5 days before Christ comes and raises the dead.

It's right there in revelation 11.

⁷ And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

 

The beast from.the bottomless pit attacks Jerusalem killing its occupants.Not the world.

So five have already fallen...... past tense

One is...... present tense

One is to come..... future tense

Mountains are kingdoms (and a person could say governments) but there are seven, not one as you say.

I never said that it is Jerusalem which sits on seven mountains.

Which it does not!

Jerusalem is surrounded by some 69 mounts (or mountains), some of the more famous ones are :

Temple Mount......... Mount of Olives.......... Mount Scopus......... Mount Zion

Har Nof...... Mount Herzl....... Mount of Rest......... Mount Hotzvim

Most sites that a person searches will say that the above Mounts are the most well known.

So..... eight

Not.... seven

That passage from Revelation 17 jibes with Daniel 10 and shows the dual nature of earthly kingdoms, spiritual and natural.

The mountains speak to the supernatural aspect, or as Daniel puts it, the princes of those kingdoms.  They result in the office of king that exercises earthly dominion.

The heads of the dragon represent the power, throne, and great authority Satan exercised through these kingdoms, spiritually and naturally.

I agree that Satan influences the kingdoms of the world. 

Then we need to see that the `heads are consecutive,` while the 10 crowned horns, Political leaders, are a group and give their power and authority to the A/C the 7th `head.`

The `present tense` is in the time just before the 10 kings give their power and authority to the A/C. (Rev. 17: 12)

The `7 Heads` are consecutive and are one at a time over the one Global Government.
