Ayaan Hirsi Ali was muslim. She said: We weren't really busy with that faith. But then the muslim brotherhood came and she lived somewhere in Africa. She had never even seen a Jewish person, but they were now taught to hate Israel and Jews. I read that she recently became christian. First she went to atheism.

I believe there has been a fatwa issued against her for leaving the religion of piece(s).

She is also married to Niall Ferguson who has written a number of wonderful books worth reading. Both of these people try to bring reason to chaos and are deserving of respect.

My go-to solution to problems usually isn't ethnic cleansing and genocide.

Is that what you believe is really happening there? Where do you get your information from?

I was unaware that the West associates ourselves with them? The government certainly doesn't. I know that the government does not view Palestine as an ally. People on the internet, and on true free speech platforms might talk with each other, and post things, But our government does not see Palestine as an ally.

Whether this is a good thing or not, I am unaware. I have not been to Palestine. I am afraid to go to any other country. Not sure it is in my calling as a being the Christian I am, as well as to my gender and what that has to say about it and me traveling to other countries. Not certain what all of that has to say about it. Or the other gender, for that matter.

I don't know what the Bible truly teaches about nation hopping and nation traveling. For either gender.

Or did I misunderstand that? It is worded confusingly to me. Did I get that backwards from what you said? It is worded confusingly to me.

While we had deal with the Saudis, I would not say we are an ally. China, Russia and sections of the middle east are together. The west has NATO. America is aligned with Israel. They sometmes have two faces in this.

If God leads a person to another nation they should go. I will be going to Japan for a short 3 week stint. Who knows where else I might end up.

Prepare yourself for culture shock, my friend. You'll understand what I mean the moment you depart from your flight.

Hi all, Interesting  thoughts by all of course. More than interesting in that what is happening affects us, as well as all the people more directly involved in the massive destruction that is going on.

Is it genocide?  Seems the result will be a genocide. Hard to think that  a cluster of over a million people denied food water and a piece of earth to set one's feet is not a genocide.

There have been many a genocide, it doesn't seem to stop,  though in general the Jews of WWII are quickly identified as the great genocide victims.

Whole countries and nations have been wiped off the face of earth many times in the past. Plagues and starvations due to political matters and policies have killed many millions more than died in Europe  during WWII.

To think this genocidal appearing action is not polite enough by today's warring standards is a bit of a farce. Of course it is not polite. What it may be and may result in is an excess, a revenge that offends God greatly.

Those that have taken personal revenge to heart in the past have not fared all that well according to scripture.

The situation is a tough one  (Obviously). Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

p.s.- Still, there are no Palestinians. The land belongs to Israel by way  of the oldest recorded land grant.

Nonetheless to the victor go the spoils.

Final victory is in Jesus.  Maranatha

Genocide is a deliberate attempt to a people or religion.

Are you suggesting that Israel is in the process of deliberately attempting to destroy Gaza and the Gazans?

And why would that be the case when they seem to be trying to avoid non Hamas casualties to the greatest degree possible during their war against Hamas.?

Fighting to defeat an enemy that has attacked you during a war is not genocide.  If it were every war that has ever been conducted would be genocide, which makes "genocide" a ridiculously meaningless term, just an epithet to throw out against another party to rally public opinion against him.

I can only ask; Is the goal to wipe out every member of Hamas or to defeat Hamas? Call it what you will, warring that  eliminates whole populations whether civilian or uniformed militants seems to fit a definition of genocide to me.

"Gen·o·cide

/ˈjenəˌsīd/

noun

1.the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group:"a campaign of genocide" "

---

From The Times Of Israel ; "

Oct. 17, 2023. (AP/Maya Alleruzzo, Pool)

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office has issued a statement, apparently in response to Hebrew media reports this evening suggesting that Israel is weighing the idea of having the Palestinian Authority again rule the Gaza Strip once Israel succeeds in its goal of toppling Hamas.

“Prime Minister Netanyahu defined the goal: the elimination of Hamas. All talk of decisions to hand over the Gaza Strip to the Palestinian Authority or any other party is a lie,” the statement reads."

-----

The elimination not the containment not the reform of, but the elimination. Seems a plan for genocide to me.

And the world is accepting it Egypt is putting ip a wall to prevent escape of the residents of the Gaza strip. They are about to die  without water food shelter. Seems pretty much genocide to me.

Not the first not the last, but genocide? Yes it is. If there was mercy there would be escape provided into Israel itself for  "innocents"  or civilians. even if into  concentrated locale  camps, with food and water and shelter. Personally I do not think there are innocents as the ideology of the people does not appear to allow for it; outsiders being classified as infidels.

It's a harsh world under the prince of the air.

Maranatha.

I put my kids on a mixed multi culti school with a lot of muslems. They were very friendly.

I had multiple Muslim tenants in my apartment units too. They paid the rent. (One couple did so for five years adding a kid each year! )  Place was trashed but hey five kids in an apartment. oy vey!

9/11 changed things, local muslims cheered the destruction, others plotted further destruction. The risks, the simmering hatreds  no longer repressed, and now the active conflicts, have changed the reality of the day. For some long time now our local body  no longer are welcomed to meet with the local Muslim leadership for discussions as we used to be able to do, things have changed. It is a hard place this earth.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
