Trump Conviction/Baggage - think you know what will actually happen?

I know I'm not dreaming though as I have several liberal friends, who not only hate trump, and who not only agree with the verdict, who saw the article and agreed with the judge and said that the judge was justified in his comments. So I know I'm not the only one who saw it.

In any case, I know what I saw. I know it to be true. But, I cannot prove it right now, and I know how that looks, and that I can't convince you without said article, so I'm not going to, and will now out of this conversation until such time as I find it. Have a good day.

We all know that this was a kangaroo court designed PURPOSELY to label Trump a "convicted felon." You may be surprised at how many of those who live in Washington (like my sister and brother-in-law) who will write his name in anyway!

During all our travels across the Nation since 2009, I would disagree that the majority of our "Citizens" have really left God.  We met a lot more people who at least knew Jesus than we did of the devil.  

But I would agree that our government and media need some help in that endeavor.

Where I live, people don't seem to have turned against Jesus.   We just returned from a 4-day Christian camp in southern Oklahoma for adults, and we have them off and on all summer for different age groups and areas.

I would be kneeling right beside you in prayer for our physical security, because our evil government and media can and will if not stopped destroy this great nation that the morals and work ethic of its general citizenry built.

Right, the "grass roots" of the USA, the "majority of our Citizens," are the "Silent Majority," that can make a difference.

The problem is the D.C. Swamp! They are, unfortunately, the public face of the USA and they have this nonsensical view that they must somehow appease this LGBTQACDEFHIJKMNOPRSUVWXYZ+ (did I miss any of the new letters?) mindset! We don't need to cowtow to these ridiculous people, who don't even know what gender they are (as though they could decide)!!! 

As far as the media are concerned, they've left the mission of true reporting long ago. Topics that once were restricted to the Editorial columns as opinions are now the only thing they preach! NOBODY seems to report just the unbiased, factual news anymore! EVERYTHING is "reported" with some bias embedded in the wording! NOBODY just records what actually happened and lets the public decide how something should be interpreted! They won't play through a person's full speech! And, there always seems to be some "interpreter" of what was said afterwords! No, the media today is PURE PROPAGANDA!

I'll get off my soapbox now.

The people of the USA I would agree, but not our government.  Go to Washington, DC, and research the layout of the city and architecture of the buildings.  None of it pertains to Jesus, and the many societies like the Masons do not worship our God.  They set up our government so they could continue their doings without governments getting in their way.

Christians did come here and make this a great nation, but our federal government never was.

Meh it is what it is. I have never been a massive Trump fan even though I am on the right, but compared to what Dems are pushing with all this trans stuff aimed at kids, gay pride, and abortion he is easily preferable to Biden. I think anyone with common sense and a pair of eyes can see he's had the full force of the opposition against him, I'll vote for him even if he's in a jail cell. Though honestly I don't know what will happen if he does get jail time this has literally never happened before.

Yes there is something the defense team can do: appeal the verdict, for the grounds for a likely overturn of the verdict are solid and many.

What would you expect from the ultra-liberal denizens of New York City, when Trump's lawyers were not even allowed by the judge to present their full case?

The former Harvard law professor and legal scholar Alan Dershowitz, a self-declared liberal, has lambasted the prosecutor and the judge repeatedly, for their blatant biases, corruptions of the law, and ignoring legal precedents. Anyone who thinks Trump got a fair trial has not really looked into the facts of the case.

Remember: Among the FIRST comers to this "New World" (outside of the Vikings and the indigenous people) were the pilgrims who WERE believers. They carried their own system of government with them. Learning to Give tells us,

'The Mayflower Compact was drafted and signed aboard the Mayflower on November 21, 1620. The "plantation covenant" modeled after a Separatist church covenant, was a document that established a "Civil Body Politic" (a temporary government) until one could be more permanently established (ibid.). The agreement set forth principles of a self-governed body not completely separate from the King of England. The Mayflower Compact continued the idea of law made by and for the people. This idea lies at the heart of democracy and made a significant contribution to the creation of a new democratic nation (Constitutional Rights Foundation 2002).'

Read George Washington''s Farewell Address. He warned his constituents against outside influences, but he believed in God giving us "certain inalienable rights." This is ONLY possible if he believed in an Absolute Creator God who gave us those rights.

While it is true that our physical architecture is based upon Greek, Roman, and Egyptian influence, the architecture of our legislation is based upon the God of the Christians involved in designing this federal democratic republic. The Declaration of Independence declared our united demand for independence from Great Brittain. The Articles of Confederation signified the intent of the original colonies to work together.  The U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights (the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution) were our blueprint for the government formed with three branches, and a bicameral legislative branch, formed with the Congress and the House of Representatives. Recognizing that we were all human beings, checks and balances were put in place to preserve our system of government, and this is based upon the understanding of the total depravity of mankind.

Thus, our government was a human attempt to live peaceably under a Sovereign God.
