Hi Sower, People state they are worse off or better off under certain administrations do they not? And then state that I must vote for this person or that one based upon that.

What I stated was if I did that I would certainly vote for Harris. Why? Because I am better off under Biden by far than I was under Trump.
BUT, BUT, BUT, I do not vote based upon that criteria.

That  voting your pocketbook is as old as Ronnie Reagan's use of it at least . R.R. whose policies left me in a lurch too.

I do hope to vote for some high level of personal integrity seen in a potential leader. In Trump I see a snake. In Harris, well really I haven't seen much, but saw more than enough of Biden.

What I see of Kennedy Jr. is an honest presentation by a man that has dealt with many a real issue in his own life has  discipline, has a history of working for oppressed and for poor people, has a devotion to clean water, clean land, and small farmers.

So I am all in for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.   See more of why at Kennedy 2024.

Did you try the little quiz I posted to see if you actually agree with Kennedy?  I was writing to you at the time, but you never replied:

Hi Sparks, I probably missed it, sorry. I have really preferred not to keep posting on this thread, in fact stated I was not going to but several here  keep quoting me and I have felt like  oh geesh I will offend them if I don't acknowledge them.

Next thing we get to debating the candidates yet again. None of us are moving off the dime we are presently on. The world looking in must be ready to gag on all the USA political scene talk by now. I know I am.

Hopefully each of us really have our hope placed in Jesus and not on any man or nation. To that end might we rejoice together while showing the world of a better way that is our common hope,  our lord Jesus.

Let's talk Jesus to an unsaved world and encourage each other under his comforting eternal security given by his sacrifice at the cross at Calvary.

May God bless.

I thought the little quiz had a 'scientific tone' to it since you could compare your values to all candidates, and vote for the one who would most likely do things the way you would.  If the test revealed that you don't agree with any of them, then I suppose the answer would be not to vote (like George Carlin always did).

God Bless

I took the quiz.  Every 4 years some group or organization presents this fun little lure about answer these questions and we'll tell you who you align with.  Heaven forbid that I rely on this to base my vote.  As good or as faulty these quizzes are I consider them to be entertaining and nothing more.

Do your homework on each candidate and make your own informed decision.

Thanks. I didn’t find a source, but from what I understand much of it is plausible or even likely. A few years ago, she was rated the most liberal in the Senate.

In 2019 GovTrac said Harris was the most liberal senator of all...even more far left than Bernie Sanders.

And they said she missed voting a lot but introduced a lot of bills...which apparently went no where.

I would have said, "I don't care what she is when it comes to ethnicity. I'd just say she's a human being I'm running against who is wanting America to keep going down the wrong road!"

Do your homework on each candidate and make your own informed decision.

I am not exactly a low information voter and when there are 35 candidates because there are primaries and caucuses going on, the quiz can be more than just entertainment.  If the main stream media were even remotely honest and they put together an accurate quiz like this, I think it would help all the super low information voters out there who either vote on party lines, or blindly.

A person who cannot tell you about any current events, cannot even name the three branches of government and who don't understand what the electoral college is or does, or what policies are damaging to the country should just stay home on election day.  Just because a person can vote does not mean they necessarily should.  Since that is not possible, maybe they should just take the letter D off the side of each candidate's names, and see what happens to those who cannot even name a candidate.  Now that would be entertainment!

Yup….the Founders talked about a couple things required to hold this republic.

1. well informed

2. moral

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
