FYI, @nebula From Tijuana, Mexico - right on the border with the US - there are direct flights to China. The reason why ultimately is because they serve Mexican-Chinese interests.

In recent years.. China has been investing heavily in things such as infrastructure projects etc etc.. in many many countries around the world.. (One example is China's  'belt and road initiative' )

So if Greenland was approached by China.. or if China was interested in investing in Greenland..  this is not unusual..

China has also even invested in the Usa !  And also in at least some of Usa very close allies and friends..

So why is Greenland being singled out?  No offence intended neb.. but I don't get it?

Also with regards to ports.. I can understand concern regarding any China operated ports on the Panama canal.. (especially since the system of government in China is a communist government)..

However.. if I am not mistaken.. at least one or more China state-owned companies either own or control some port terminals inside mainland Usa.. including at the Port of Los Angeles....

So I don't understand..  if the Usa is extremely concerned about China owned companies controling ports at the Panama Canal.. (and understandably so)  .. then why does the Usa allow China state-owned company or companies.. to own /control port terminals inside the Usa?  

And does that mean other countries now would have the right to talk about buying and selling Usa states such as Texas and California?    

I don't agree with that..  But I also don't agree with the Usa talk about the supposed buying / selling.. of another nation / autonomous region..

It is hugely offensive (in my opinion)

These are just some of the major concerns we ( as Americans) voted for President Trump- an American that sees the problem of what weak,greedy,dangerous and treasonous leadership has caused and are matters of National Security besides a disastrous economic situation

First of all, I am simply relaying what I understand Pres. Trump's motives to be.

Second, the average American citizen has been kept uninformed about the silent Chinese take-over of America until recent years. We do not like it, we do not want it, and we want these investments and companies kicked out of our country, and our land returned to US citizens and businesses. And we want every politician who has ben in bed with China dealt with appropriately - but that takes a DOJ that isn't beholden to China as well.

That is merely a poem on the statue, not a law in the us. She was an activist who was in favor of immigration. 

However that immigration needs to be legal, not through invasion of our borders.

Jimmy Carter took a can that previous administrations knew to kick down the street and made it a mandate to return the canal zone to the Panamanians. This is did desperately trying to make a legacy for his own administration (which the globalists had ransacked with interest rates and the Iranian hostage crisis drove the death nail into). Trouble is, the Panama Canal is a world gate. And you do not give over world gates. Period. America built and dug out the canal, but because it was in Panama there was an agreement to turn the zone back over to Panama eventually. This was one of those wise as serpent innocent as doves deals (meaning not exactly honest, but necessary). It came with certain privileges (pseudo-American status, economic status,  and the ability to enlist in the American military like Puerto Rico and the Philippines). 

There are military bases on either end of the zone. Both of which were bid awarded to the Chinese after the zone was returned to Panama. Essentially giving control of this world gate to the Chinese. Trump apparently is out to make good on his promise that the Chinese government will pay for the Covid pandemic and to reassert American dominance in the process. Considering that giving the zone back to Panama was a major screw up in the first place, it is not aggressive of Trump at all to reclaim it.
