I was baptized in Trout Lake in my pastors back yard. It is spring fed, so it is very cold. It was a bittersweet moment.

hahaha i can definately relate to the cold.. but afterwards i was warm and praising God that i was a new person in Christ...YAY!!!!

PS I agree with your non-Christian group list except for SDA's.

The SDA's are exclusive. They claim to be the only real Christians. That is why I included them. They are exclusive.

There are two streams of SDAs. One is more evangelical and the other is more traditional to Ellen G. White. I used to get the SDA magazine and it always had articles by prominent evangelicals. It is not accurate to say that most SDAs are exclusive.

Yep, I sometimes regret that we even put a baptistry in the building..lol. BUT there are times when it is very inconvenient to baptize in the Sea. I remember one time.....

We had a lady from Jamaica that got saved one day on visitation. She was having some health problems and knew she needed to go home to see her doctor. The problems were pretty serious and she was leaving the next week, but she wanted my husband to baptize her before she left. So that Sunday after church we headed to what we called "Baptistry 2" We knew the other place we usually baptized would be unusable because we were experiencing a "Nor'Wester." Really rough seas. Well, hubby and the lady went into the sea and had to go a little further out than usual because of low tide. Chet started to lower her into the water, just as the tide went out. He bent lower, and lower.....the tide kept getting lower...he had he almost touching bottom when.....you guessed it! The tide came back in. He was so far down that the wave washed over both of them.

Never had that problem in the baptistry...

or are you refering to LDS?

the SDA people i know worship on Sat vice Sunday, and are not exclusive, but do believe Christ is the Lord of all.
