Does God condemn inter racial marriages

I am just asking why if it were OK then why did God become upset with Moses?

The sin was in marrying people who worshiped other gods who led his heart away from the Lord.

The reason i ask is when reading about Solomon God got upset with Solomon for marrying a "fair skinned woman".What is your take on this?

it couldn't have been for the single reason of an interracial marriage that God got mad at solomon, because moses was married to an ethiopian woman. i didn't review everything as thoroughly as i should have before i jumped in here running my mouth, so to speak, but i do remember there were problems in the old testament with the jews being led away from the Lord whenever the jews married out of the faith. God would command the jews not to take the daughters of the peoples of the land, nor to give their own daughters in marrige to the peoples of the land. the jews ignored God again and do as they pleased and God would punish them over and over and over...

The Lord brought my husband and I together. I happen to have an interracial marriage. The only thing the Lord does not want us to do is to marry an unbeliever. The others said it quite well.

The only time God was upset with Moses was when he hit the rock twice instead of speaking to it as he had commanded. God was upset with Solomon but it wasn't because of interracial marriages but rather because he had so many wives and they were idolaters that caused him to be led away from his love of God. The one you marry should share your love for God rather than the color of your skin.

There is no Scripture to support the idea that God is opposed to interracial marriages. Although you will find a number of bigoted so-called "Christians" who will try to stretch the meaning of some verses to "prove" He is.

GOD didn't become upset with Moses over his 'interracial' marriage; Moses' brother and sister did:

Num 12:1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

The LORD rebuked their anger with Moses, and meted out punishment:

Num 12:8 [The LORD said] With him [Moses] will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

Num 12:9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

Num 12:10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

The only truly 'interracial' marriage is when a Christian marries a non-Christian.

Not in a disagreement with any of the post here...I would just like to add to this thread this point. God took Moses side in this family turmoil, and he struck Miriam with an appropriate chastisement. Lepers were treated as outcast, they received severe inhuman treatment when in public. Their families practically disowned them because of false beliefs that God cursed people with this disease. They even held funerals before their death. Sorta like some families will do when a daughter marries out of her race. But white leprosy should have awakened her conscience to the stupidity of prejudice. But most of all one needs to remember Moses' role in the OT was the Law giver. If the Law giver was inter racially married that is a statement in its self. I think we should also see Moses' cry for mercy on her ignorance and the forgiveness that made this story apart of the Biblical record
