The DaVinci Code was not all that great a movie. Nice to look at on the whole. But the cast, with the exception of Ian McKellan, do not look like they're having any fun. It holds true to the book. Without being overly true to it. So that's a good point. As a Christian I am somewhat offended. As a moviegoer I was impressed, yet underwhelmed by it. It did not live up to the hype. I give it a B-. And it will, like many movies before, fade away eventually.

i dont see it as holding any threat, im in a real crisis in my faith at the mo, n went to see it n thought that what you guys as christians believe is alot more easier to believe than wat the da vinci code is suggesting...

im not sure of the motives on the author... was it in his intentions to shatter christianity or summat, or is it pure fiction, no evidence and he just felt like writing a "good read"

I like how a small church here in my town is handling all the hype on this movie.

On their sign outside it says this:

You won't here us preach about the Da Vinci Code, not one word. We only preach Non-Fiction.

To the point and done...I liked that

The problem isn't about the movie itself - sure it will "fade" - but what of the message and impact of the book/film. Will that fade?

Well, fiction or not Sam, there are millions of gullible people with whom the movie or book, will leave a lasting and wrong impression.

i see it as a great opportunity for evangelism.

inevitebly, people will start searching for facts and the truth about christ.
