Why did god make me ugly

Er, why would you think you are ugly?

Do you have the light of God inside?

Does your inside shine through to your outside?

Does your outside reflect the person God created, according to your personal preferences and personality?

If so, there is no way you can be ugly.

If you believe society and conform to society's standard there will always be problems. Society just doesn't like things which are not to it's own specification. but society is not the final arbiter of beauty, is it?

I remember when I was I was younger, I wanted to date this really gorgious guy, He broke my heart, ended up being abusive; shoved me against the locker; he became physically a ugly person in my eyes. (By the way; this really huge guy in school that liked me; beat the stuffings out of him, including my friend-who is a girl-did too)

When I met my husband; who in the world standards was not the greatest looking guy, as I fell in Love and the Lord let me know he was the one; boy; he continues to look better and better to me. He can come home with dirt all over him from the days work and he still looks "HOT" to me. He thinks I'm a nut- but I'm his nut!!!

It's not an outward thing that matters, it's that inward heart that others feel. Don't worry what the outside looks like, let the Lord work in the inward parts.

Love looks past all those things!!!

True beauty is only found in holiness.

Excellent response truster and one that is full of truth. We are not to look at the outside form. I know. I look at people like Tom Curise, and all the Hollywood so called beauties and hunks and see nothing beautiful about them. They may have an outward form that is so called beautiful but most are spiritually and morally bankrupt and hold no beauty in my eyes. We at Worthy don't care what you look like, we care only about your heart. When God looks at you He sees only His Son who died for you. Think on that. Hugs.....

Yes Candi that is beautiful. I also wanted to add. My husband is a very good looking man. He is 21 years older then I am and he is always saying I should have married someone that was handsome and rich. Could have...but when I met Steve I was toast. We have been married almost 24 years now. He is facing major surgery and they are going to have to remove his bladder. To some women the image of being with someone with no bladder is repulsive. I have shed a million tears because I only want him healthy and whole again. Real love comes from God and never, never looks at the outside. Good post Candi.

I have never seen anyone I thought was ugly.

I do not think there are any ugly people.

We are all just different.

And when Christ fills the heart the person becomes beautiful.

So, why don't you try looking in the mirror again?

Why did god make me ugly

The Good Lord makes us in his own image so He would never consider anyone ugly. Physical beauty is fleeting anyway and those that have great looks (according to other people) have to develop spiritual beauty or they end up just a wasted shell with nothing inside. Please don't sentence yourself to misery; there are very few of us who consider ourselves beautiful. And the Lord won't mind if you spruce up his creation by changing the hair, toning up, buying new clothes and practicing those social skills. Go for it! ;)

It was stated by the man who hated his VERY LARGE nose, when the preacher reminded him that he was created in God's image, that God must of had honker the size of Texas.

I wonder why I have my grandfathers ears, on a windy day I can easily take flight, My brother can sniff around coners with his crooked nose, and my oldest brother arrives 5 minutes after his beak gets somewhere. On top of that we all 3 have the familu buttocks, or more commonly refered to as the back with a crack in it.

Who knows way we are one way or the other, only God knows. But it means nothing for these are just tents that we are inhabiting. We are not of flesh but of spirit.

But heres alittle something I hope you will save for youself. It is about all sorts of derelicts, losers, nobodies, and outcasts that God has used in mighty and profound ways.

Noah was a drunk,

Abraham was too old,

Isaac was a daydreamer,

Jacob was a liar,

Leah was not good looking,

Joseph was abused,

Moses had a stuttering problem,

Gideon was afraid,

Samson had long hair and was a womanizer,

Rehab was a prostitute,

Timothy was too young,

David had an affair and was a murderer,

Jonah ran away from God,

Naomi was a widow,

Job went bankrupt,

Peter denied Christ,

The disciples fell asleep while praying,

Martha worried about everything,

Mary Magdalene was, well, you know

Proverbs 31 verse 30

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;

but a woman who fears the LORD ] is to be praised.

This is all that matters to the LORD

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
