Of course they still don't have them. Saddam moved them to Iran.

Or Syria! :b:

Three independent commissions and President Bush himself has said that we were wrong about Iraq still having WMD stockpiles. I think that pretty much settles it.

Because that is what they had to say for political reasons....

Why? Not sure. Maybe they want ignorant people to remain ignorant?

Maybe they want our enemies to think that we don't know they trucked it all into Iran and Syria because then we'd have to go and get them according to the Bush doctrine against terrorism and there isn't political will or a "coalition of the willing" to do that....yet.

Maybe it is to disguise our intentions and keep an element of surprise?

But if you honestly think that Sadaam had no plans or intentions to develop WMDs then I'd like to sell you some ocean front property in Arizona.

:b:

speaking of common sense...think about this

What if we did see Sadaam trucking materials into Syria, Iran, Jordan, and/or Saudi Arabia?

Did any of those nations provide enough reason to invade them also? Are photos of truck crossing the border enough evidence to launch a full-scale invasion?

Would we have politically offended our "moderate" allies in the region had we just started invading different countries on a whim? Would Jordan support us invading Syria? Would Eygpt support us invading Iran (back then)? It has taken time to isolate Iran from the world community and make a case for sanctions...how much more an invasion based on photos from a satelite?

How would the Democrats have reacted? They are treasonously positioning for re-election as if they are against the war yet everyone of them knows they are going to vote to sustain it as long as necessary. That will be a while...maybe another 5 years.

They all know that a Democrat in the White House doesn't change a thing at the State Department.

When the history books are written a decade from now, Bush will be an international hero and the Middle East will not be as volatile.

Only liberals and democrats will have any regrets...kinda like Reagan and Gorbachov

The key phrase is "still having" - which is different from "having."

Yes he had them, as the joke goes

Hey everyone,

I'm sorry to sound harsh and I bet there are THOUSANDS of threads on this already... however, I know for a fact that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.... I know that there were gases there that they weren't supposed to have and something about a mobile unit. PLEASE do not make this a debate as to if there were or were not WMD's in Iraq.... PLEASE.... I really just want an answer to what was/could be over there... most what was.... Course, my dad being in the military, can't tell me how he knows they were over there, and can't tell me much of anything, so please, does anybody know what they were?

Crystal

I know for a fact they were there too. Saddam used them on his own people. Thousands of people died from them. I will never understand these people saying that they were not there. Kerry made me laugh when he said several years ago that the weapons were there but when the war started going badly he said they did not. You bet they were there, still are probably.

An ounce of Serin gas can kill many, many people. So far we have found stockpiles of Serin in Iraq totaling 19 TONS!!!

I'm pretty sure we haven't. Do you have a weblink to that evidence?

Better than a weblink; original source material. But simple facts have never changed the minds of the inveterate 'America-Haters.' This 19 tons of Serin is really just the tip of the iceberg, MUCH MORE than this has been recovered. Right now my sources are out in my locked shed. It's cold, and snowy, I'm barefoot, and have only had one cup of java so far. When I get around to shoveling the snow drifts (DARNED GLOBAL 'WARMING!!!') away from my shed and can actually get in it, I'll post the sources. One good place to look is in the reference section of a book called "DISINFORMATION." Sorry, the author's name eludes me.

This war has turned out to be a Neo-Conservative Think Tank inspired Social Experiment rather than a war of necessity.

The fact is, the same neo-conservative ideologues that convinced Bush to go into Iraq also tried to convince Presidents Reagan, Bush Sr. and Clinton to do the same. There is a reason why they chose not to do so, we are seeing that reason unfold in Iraq today.

Bush 41 and Clinton understood that it was not politically expedient to do this. That is all that separates them from the current Bush...guts. They also called for regime change but did nothing outside of rhetoric and political positioning. The risk of interrupting oil supplies had to threaten nations in that region before we could count on having any allies.

They (Bush 41 & Clinton) understood that it would be a political mess to occupy any country in that part of the world... and that it would take longer than the terms of their administrations to accomplish the objective of a changed middle east.

The current Bush also realized this beforehand and announced as much on national TV just before the invasion. But unlike his predecessors, he did what was right over what was best for him politically. I disagree with Bush on every other issue that has come up in his administration but on the most important issue of our time, he is absolutely a visionary in a sea of blind men.

So your point that the Iraqi invasion and occupation wouldn't be "easy" is true.

That doesn't make it any less "right"

one of the sanctions placed on Iraq in the early 90's was that there would be inspectors to ensure there were no WMD...... Iraq blatently refused for as long as they could about letting the inspectors into certain area's, at least until they could be sanitized (so to speak).... this was showing Iraq had something to hide. what they were trying to hide, we may never know....

do i believe they had WMD's? Yes, about a 80% chance of them having them.....

should we finish what is started? or should we pull out?? well, being that i am from a long line of military, that have faught and shed blood for Ol' Glory, (8th generation, with my son being the 9th consec. generation ( with the only break being two men that did not qualify, my paternal and my maternal grandfathers, however, they did serve the country, one building army aircorp and navy aircraft, the other navy ships.... I would say, let us do what needs to be done to complete the job as quickly as possible....

I would also say that Israel, needs more then just hit and miss support from the USA, for when we support Israel, we are doing right, and when we do not support Israel, we are doing wrong....

I want yall to think about something, because really this is just common sense at this point.

We have been over that country with a fine toothed comb, yet we have found nothing other than a few useless degraded left overs from the 1980s Iran / Iraq War.

There are a some who make the erroneous claim that Saddam shipped those weapons to Syria just prior to the war. Think about that. We were watching that country with practically every spy satellite at our disposal, if some huge convoy was loading up at weapons dumps and then heading out to Syria, we would have seen it. In fact, if such a thing happened, and we did nothing about it, then thats even worse than going to war on false pretenses.

Just the same, even if it supposedly happened, then why did Syria or Iran not hand those weapons off to a terrorist group like Hesbollah? The answer is simple, they don't have them.

Furthermore, we have been in there for over 4 years now, and witness every day some of the worst murder and carnage imaginable. Now think about it, does anyone honestly believe that some Sunni extremist would strap a bomb to themselves, walk into a crowd of women and children and detonate it, but that same extremist would sit on some Chemical and Biological Weapons.

I mean come guys, the whole thing does not even pass the common sense test anymore. We were wrong about Iraq. Iraq obviously was contained and disarmed. Thus, Iraq obviously did not pose a significant threat to the United States prior to the war.

Did you ever give a thought to this that maybe we are predestined to be in Iraq because of Israel? I don't like being they

Does anyone recall what happened to the USS STARK?

funny how soon we forget, that a "friendly" nation would send a fighter plane towards a US ship, and when the aircraft was hailed, on the proper hailing frequencies that it did not respond... other then to fire to missles into the side of the "friendly" ship.....

sailors lost their lifes and all that was said from IRAQ was oh, it was a mistake...... HOGWASH.....

IT WAS AN ACT OF WAR,

ignoring calls for the plane to turn off....

YES IRAQ HAD AN AIR FORCE OF SORTS.....

personally, i believe that was a test to see if they could actually attack a US Ship..... and they did and they got away with it, and no retaliation came from it...... only to continue to support iraq until she went in to Kwait...... then there were sanctions set for iraq, which were ignored, as were the sanctions about the inspectors having access to areas.... they were denied access until iraq felt all good and ready..... who knows what really was in those buildings when the inspectors acess was denied, and where it went so that they could then have access weeks later......

MAN!!!!!

has some one had the wool pulled over their eyes or what.......... iraq was up to no good..... flat, cut, dried......

we need to complete the job in iraq and afgan, as soon as possible, and to do that we need more power there.... we need to learn how to do battle by following Davids lessons.... as King Davie was going from town to town, whooopin up on his enemy, they were not leaving any guards behind, and when they returned, the women and children had been taken.... ooooooops....

so what does he do? they go after the perps, and kick some back sides and retrieve what was theirs, and then they continue on and leaving a group at each place they take.... to keep it for them instead of allowing the enemy to circle back around and retake what David and his men took.....

let this not be like viet nam, where we have to count out the bullets in the morning and turn them in at night and if you used yours up, then tough...... no more till morning.... let us not ration the amo to our guys and gals, but let them have what is needed....

we have found out that in the last wars we have been in, that a war can not be fought from the pentagon, but has to be fought from the front lines.....

have we become such slackards that we do not want to fight for our freedoms?????

that we just want to have it all go away????

if our founding fathers could see us now, they would not just turn over in their graves, they would come back from the dead and start anew revolution right here in this country.....

GOVERNMENT HAS GOTTEN TOOOOOOO BIG.......

we are in no better position now then we were in 1775.......... thats right, we have allowed government to dictate what we do and how we do it..... we have perverted the constitution..... Thomas Jefferson had said that it would not be any good in 200 years..... he was right......

it is only a matter of time before the quran will be required reading in the schools.....

i personally get a bit irritated at people that are dissing our leaders, the Word of God tells us that we are to honor them, even if we do not agree with what they are doing.... .God put them there.... they are there for a purpose..... when Israel was not doing good, not doing what God wanted, then they had pittiful leaders in place...... and when they would follow what God was telling them, then a good leader, a godly leader would be put in place......

how is the USA doing?????? we are not doing as God wants..... that is for sure......

should we continue on in iraq...... till we get it right.....

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
