my neice and I went to the mall one day and people kept staring at her

she was dressed like a lady

not is jeans or short and halter tops

not is short skirt and tight blouse or t shirt but like a lady she did look out of place but you know what

I was proud to be standing with her knowing she was doing what the Lord has put on her heart

her children look like little girls not 6 or 8 year olds looking like 16 or 18 year olds

moral dress is gone moral attiltude is gone and there are no longer guide lines

now itsa look how you want do your own thing etc it is sad

there are ladies in our church that will not ever own a pair of pants and God Bless them for it

there are men who still treat a lady like a lady

but the womens movement has made most women ashamed to be treated like a lady

my hubby even after all of our years of marriage still opens the car door for me still pulls out my chair and still rises when I leave the table that is the way he was raised and it makes me feel like a lady I am not ashamed of that one bit

there are good laides out there and you might find that if the guys treated them like ladies it could do wonders

no offence guys but some of you can be real jerks some times, as we women can be real well you know

but if you are looking for a Prov. woman they are out there and lest you forget to have a women like that will require things from you to

I remember our outhouse very well only in the winter when our pipes froze but I do remember it and boy with 6 kids in the family the mornings were cold cold cold lol had to dance around to keep warm waiting our turn and since I was the smallest and last born I was last to use it

Yes guys there are Prov. women and Godley men the problem is getting them together

did you know that there was a poll in time mag I think that said that many christian couples had sex before marriage thinking it was ok because they were getting married any way So what does that say about our day and age

hugs to all and God Bless

In Christ

IF you look at the Prov 31 woman, you will find that she is more free and independant than the so called feminists are today.

Do you REALLY  believe what you have put forth? :24:

I think you are joking.

A woman living in the role God designed her for has much more freedom than the woman who is not!

Also, if you look at the Prov. 31 woman, she does business, manages things, all that sort...she's no little woman who meekly spends her day in the kitchen on her husband's orders. She's out there doing as much work as he is, with her household under her guiding hand.

Guys!!......I'm not talking about Prov 31 woman being bare foot and pregnant...NO WAY.

I think some folks have taken what I said OUT of context.

Unlike the Original Womens libber , who was up against man for equality etc and wanted independence FROM man(not all but most libbers), the Prov 31 woman did all the things she did - with her husbands blessing under the covenant of MARRIAGE.

She was what she was BEING a PARTNER with her husband. Her actions were not independent of man, whereas the '70's womens libber rivaled man....

That is my point.

The Prov 31 woman was all she was WITH her man BESIDE her. It takes two. ^_^

AMEN

Actually, I was pretty much agreeing with you, not disagreeing. :)

And, of course, home-making & raising God's heritage of children are also supreme joys of Spirit-filled Christian women too, right? If we produce kids, shouldn't we be responsible for raising them too? Isn't the very best day-care centered on mom & dad? Business, certainly if necessary, but don't knock home-making.

I think a man needs a wife who will bathe him in prayer! :):noidea:

I do, I wake up in the morning with blessings being prayed over me and my work for the day, and protection over me and the vehicle i drive.....

my wife has blessings prayed over her in the evening, so that she can rest and be strengthened for the day ahead of her that the Lord will use her as He sees fit, and that she will be drawn closer to Him and grow stronger in His was......

it is said that if a man prays for his wife everyday (or evening) out loud, and a woman prays for her husband out loud every day, that the divorce rate is only one in elevin hundred and some.......

something to think about.....

sure better then 1 out of 2..............

mike

I have never heard a husband pray out loud for his wife before.

The Best Thing a man can do for his Children, is to LOVE THEIR MOTHER....... be an example for them to follow.....

how will a young man know to pray for his wife, if he does not see his father pray for his mother????

how do you know if some one is praying???? you see them, and hear them.... if i pray for my wife quietly, the children never see or hear me pray..... if i pray out loud, the children know that is what is to be done, and have examples of prayer, not just canned prayers either.....

also

how is the wife to know how much she means to me if she never hears it>?

what would please you more (man or woman)

to hear some one say I LOVE YOU

or

to hear some one tell God how much they Love You and want the best of what God has for you?

yes, both are important.... but by praying for some one, you are also showing them, telling them that they do indeed mean a whole lot more to them then just a roommate.

i can tell my wife i love her all the day long, every 5 minutes... yes, that is good, but if i spend time and pray for her, even when she does not think she needs prayer, even after the most wonderful day she has ever had, lifting her up before the Lord higher and higher, she will then have the most awesome night she has ever had too.....Guys, Pray Outloud for your wifes hold her while you pray...... pray over your children, touch them (lay hands on them) as you pray for them OUTLOUD...... let them hear you pray, they will remember this....

What a good topic. Coming from a woman's view, I try to be the Proverbs 31 wife. And my husband makes me want to be that because in the same way, he loves me and respects me. I didn't have the best example growing up, but I have had a deep study on that chapter with my pastor's wife and I strive to be that woman everyday for my husband. I think it is a lifestyle that any woman can reach. If she will put God first in her life, everything else falls into place. SOmething even as simple as cooking, i never wanted to cook before because noone ever taught me how to cook. However, in the past two months i just sat down and decided that I am going to give our daughters a better example, and I started teaching myself how to cook. That is just one example on the lower end of the scale. I think that it pleases God when us woman respect and submit to our husbands. My husband is the world to me and I love him with all my heart

While the Proverbs 31 woman is inspiring where does this leave women like me, who would aspire to be like her, but have no one to be like her for? So many women (and men) live alone now. The latest figure was, I believe, nearly 25% of americans. :)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
