I don't see Coca Cola treating it's gay and lesbian employees decently as a reason for boycotting them. THe fact that they are a big corporation who often treat poor and powerless folk badly, however is a good reason for doing so. Here'sa little article about Coke in India.

I think there are deeper issues than boycoting coke to anyone leaving a church.

You say that you left the church, did you mean "The Church" or just the baptist church when you say you left it.

Did you actually turn your back to Christ over a body of people saying that you should boycot some company. I think there is much more to this than you write here.

I might add that despite the danger of being tagged as a Peacemaker, that there was much more to the post than having to do with resurrecting a boycott.

I really think you overlooked a person in real spiritual trouble.........

yep, coke is pretty bad for you....

if you drink two 16 ounce bottles of coke a day,

your stomach will rot out...................

it is true....

but it will take it about 250 years............

so, with that, if a person drinks 4 16 ounce bottles a day, it will take about 125 years????

I figure that is long enough to live anyways.....

There have been many boycotts over the years against companies, products etc. We have to consider all that is behind a boycott before we decide to jump on board. The facts speak the truth if we examine them carefully. The media and other sources tend to hype and play on people emotions when it comes to boycotting. Many have decided to boycott products from france after the united nations standoff with france. That is a boycott at the time i felt strongly in. But will france still sell there products here in the US. You bet they will. I myself do not drink coke so this doesnt affect me. But if I did drink coke I would have to consider all the facts and my motivation for boycotting and if the facts of the boycott were the truth. Note: Coke is also a good rust remover if you are doing bodywork on your automobile. Why would we want to put that in our stomach..
