Ghosts

I also believe that ghosts are nothing more than demons.

I have seen two ghosts in my lifetime that I know of, and am sure of. I have also heard a couple of ghosts.

They are demons, masquerading as departed loved ones, to convince us that life carries on as 'normal' on the other side.....therefore....no need for heaven or Jesus.

Demons do exist. If this were not so, why would Jesus cast them out?

We need to be wary when dealing with things such as this. There are many DECEIVING SPIRITS in the world.

Has anyone seen a ghost? I use to see things when I was quite young but at the time, I didn't think much of it - until I started watching horrors.

yes i am aware of this but i wanted to see who would be smart enough to work out what i have said hear in my post that i left i love toying with people just so i can see if they are alert and on the ball

see when jesus was walking on the water the disciples freaked out and thought he was a ghost mary magdalene was saying were is he when she came to the tomb thomas wanted hard proof other wise he would not listen to what the disciples had to say so jesus decided to walk through the wal and told thomas to look feel and see if what i am saying is not a lie i am the risen christ and thomas said i belive you are the risen christ i wil never doubt you and jesus said blesed are you for their are many who have not seen me but belive in what is said

i just love throwing odd verses out to catch christians out

yet i have seen real ghosts my self

When I was real young child, I used to get scared that there was something out there, lurking under the bed, closet, basement, behind me or whatever. As I got older, I was taught that ghosts are really demons masquerading as dead spirit people. Well, during my teen years, I knew some people that actually played with oujia boards and such and swore that they experienced paranormal stuff, but they would never work around me and I always knew if it did that I would attribute it to demons. I always wondered up to that point though, if it was just people's imaginations playing tricks on them or if there was really something else there in their experiences. I guess you could say I questioned the validity of their claims. But there was one night in particular I had been playing a certain role playing video game for a very, very long period of time and then went to sleep exhausted. Next thing I knew, I felt a sinister, purely evil presence that I could not see, but I felt it smothering and crushing me and I could not get any air for what seemed like a long time. I uttered a very fervent prayer to God to help me and it stopped and I could catch my breath again. The intense evil I felt from it left such a strong impression on me, that I was certain it had to have been a demonic spirit. After that, I never doubted people can come into frightening contact with evil, demonic spirits and I shied away from playing occultic video games much because I think that was what opened myself up to this type of attack. The occult should not be played around with. I was deeper into it then I was consciencely aware of at the time.

The bible says there are demonic, evil spirits and angelic Godly spirits. He warns us not to participate in the occult because it is meant to open one up to demonic influence and deception. I have also been convicted to discern this in certain pieces of music, entertaining tv and movies, books, and practices in my life for this reason, too. I also believe He sends us His Holy Spirit and I believe He can use His angels to minister to us. We need to test the spirits against the Word of God and pray for protection and proper discernment, because we also have a spiritual presence.

Isa 8:19 When they say to you, "Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and mutter," should not a people consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?

Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.

your testimony brought back memories of a night when I was fast asleep and woke up with a shock. I was pinned to the bed and couldn't move. It felt like someone or something was crushing me but there was nothing there. I began praying more out of despartion and fear than out of spiritual warfare. The thing that had me pinned finally subsided but I wasn't able to go back to sleep and I didn't want to be in that bed any more.

The nxt afternoon, I found out from a friend of mine that my ex boyfriend (we had just split up and he was out on a drinking binge), had been drinking all night. He drove home early in the morning and went to sleep behind the wheel. The car crashed on the drivers side into a bank and he was pinned down.

When I asked my friend what time the accident happened .... it was at the same time when I was pinned down in my bed.

I am surprised that I haven't been here. Ghosts are definitly demonic.

That happened to me, the thought that ghost were real and seperate entities. I was use to having demonic entities show up with absolutely no question of who they were. When ghost started to show up they seemed less threatening. What a deception!!!

With all the new things going on the t.v. which I do catch every so often, it gives the population the idea of accepting things they shouldn't .

those little green extra terestials are also demons and they are of a different order, do service and come always in bunches.

The witch of endor was frightened when saul called her because King Saul had alreday abolished witchcraft, and death sentence to anyone practicing the art, She though she was being tricked. He took a chance of wanting to know the future and Look what happened. He became torment, became obsessive in trying to kill David and he ended up commiting suicide! Some things are better off left alone and If we don't get a answer...Praise the Lord for that too. Patricia1
