There was a post in outer court from a nonbeliever asking for prayer for someone. As I read the responses I almost cried. It seemed some people actually wanted to debate the way he asked for prayer by referring to it as "healing energy". I wonder if those people realize the witness that could be damaged there. This persona has obviously already been hurt by religious discussion, and came in to ask prayer. That made me so sad to see that some would prefer to debate than to pray and possibly be able to bring another into the kingdom!
Ego and overzealous pride blind them to the proper conduct and approach demanded by our Lord, communicated to us by Paul in His letters to Timothy.

Instead the "correcter than thou" self-righteousness wins out sadly, and compassion becomes a secondary concern.

2 Timothy 2:24-25

(24) And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men,

apt to teach, patient,

(25) In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;

if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

His faithful servant,

Christian

It's true that some responded to the gal with inappropriate comments and made a mess of things! It is ALSO true that: "Where there are no oxen, the stalls are clean, but if you want a successful farm, you MUST have oxen!" It is the oxen--willing to work, and sometimes messy--who bring GROWTH.

God was NOT 'taken by surprise,' and it was perhaps the case that the 'shock value' of the comments were to provoke thought in her spirit.

Should we all try to respond with Grace? Of course. Will we all succeed every time? No. And the sun will still come up tomorrow, and the Lord will still save souls.

We have too many people that want to use Christ like a sledge hammer instead of a safe haven.

How unfortunately true that is!

Our sisters point was genuinely made. Let us not get carried away though with the "bashing" of other saints. We all fall short. Sometimes our answers are less then tactful, but we are still learning. God will (as we allow Him) work these things out of us, and work more of Himself in. Let us pray to our Father that we dont become a stumbling block for others along the way. Let, us be mindful of those who desire Christ, but even more so, let us be mindful of those who share with us Christ already.

I didn't see the thread, but the thing I have learned (well, am still trying to learn....) is that God meets us where we are through grace and we don't have to be perfect, and we, as Christ followers, should also meet others where they are.

Be blessed, all!

this is why i always take heed to gods warnings based out in this gospel that we all read i have even heard christians say that god wil not hold us acountable for those that leave the body threw our hurtful remarks which realy hurts me as a fellow brother and some one that has had many things said to me by gods people who cal them selves christians

this is what i belive while we are alive on this earth we wil have to give acount to god when he decides to judge the whole world it just daunts me to how some can think like this wear they wil be not be held acountable this scares me as wel as many have left the body and not one person openly admits that its time to cry out to god for the way we all put our foot in our mouths

i am always being very care ful around new christians as i want them to grow i want them to move forward and if i see any one be littling one of these new christians i rebuke them openly i have done it in this comunity i live in and i do not pull back so simple i am proud of what christ did for me on the cross and just as paul rebuked peter we have that same right but many just let what is said slip by as if its ok to behave like this

i feel sorry for those that think like this as when god does decide to judge the whole world we wil have to give acount to him their wil be no wear to run or you wil not be able to blame or say but i saw them doing this

god hears what is said he ever hears his childrens heart felt prayers and he even sees what is done to his children and i feel gods own heart brakes

i just pray for mercy on those that behave like this and that they wil be dealt with and openly repent

god bless from your brother in the lord damien

I haven't read everyone's response but what I've seen is we want to put others straight b/c often we prefer intellectual more than operating under the commandment to love others and consider their heart matters.

I am the subject of this post's husband. I am christian and don't agree with my wife's choice of religions but I do expect her to be respected. I have been with her through much heartache and pain. I do not push her on the church issues because her pain is legitimate. I have my own issues which don't help her but we are in counseling over them.

She cried for hours this morning over a persons insensitive remarks. Someone actually accused her of coming to this site to recruit. I am outraged that this is allowed on this site. I have read through my wife's posts and she has been nothing but honest and respectful with everyone.

Her counselor and I were making some headway into trying to get her into church but she refuses to do so after this attack.

If she were your wife or sister, wouldn't you be outraged???

How do I get her to not give up? I am trying to convince her that God loves her then something like this happens.

Grace to you,

While I am not certain what exactly has happened. I am sure that the way to approach this is via a Private Message to the Ministry and those who are here to oversee content. That would either be the Moderators, a Watchman, or George Himself.

I will be closing this thread and removing the one in the outer court.

Let's also be mindful of the fact that there are many different people participating here and that while we try to cover the content. We must be mindful that we are all adults and human beings and that discussions sometimes can vary and sometimes things may be said that aren't productive or even may be misconstrued.

From our terms of service;

The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this bulletin board. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.

The very fact that we all fall short is a testimony to the fact that we all need the Outrageous Grace of a Loving God.

I read something today.

Quote Oswald Chambers, "My Utmost for His Highest;"

God is justified in saving bad men only as He makes them good. Our Lord does not pretend we are all right when we are all wrong. The Atonement is a propitiation whereby God through the death of Jesus makes an unholy man holy.

We are all all wrong and only made right by Gods Holy Grace. Thus God gains even more Glory through our mistakes, leaving even more room for Grace.

If in the future if there is a reason to question a posting or even the actions of those set in place over the content of this Ministry. Please act with this in mind and react through a Private Message. This will help to keep the misunderstanding and perhaps the lack of Grace to a minimum.

God will still gain all the Glory and in this we will all be Blessed.

Thanks for your patience and may God Richly Bless you.

Peace,

Dave

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
