While I agree with you to an extent...we are going to disagree at times. Yes we must disagree in love. However, with all the denominations we will not be in perfect unity until Heaven. I think the important thing is to just love each other that God wishes we would do. Even with our differences, we can still make a difference in the world. I hope you have a merry Christmas.

Why does everyone have to make the bible, and christianity in general, so darned complicated?

The way I see it is that all this "sideline" junk is just that- sideline JUNK.

If people were to spend less time whining about how hard it is to read the bible and develop a relationship with Jesus, and actually try to DO both of these things....well, lets just say our society would be a lot better off.

I found myself praying for one or more of our prominant Christian leaders to

take a stand and come against this New Age Campaign that Oprah has started. I have a feeling Focus

On The Family and others will be getting involved. At least, I pray so.

I think the writer was saying two things, one was about Oprah and her plans for a one year study in the Course of Miracles. However, I think the second thing was more important, that the Course of Miracles is not Christian teachings, but is false. This is more important, because people are being deceived. A true work of Satan. Christian know not to put faith in men (woman) but to examine the scriptures to make sure it is truth. The writer points out C of M states we are God, Christ, and much more that is clearly wrong.

The really SAD and SCARY thing is, that so many people hang on every word out of Oprah's mouth. Anything SHE recommends is gold. Even some Christian ladies I know think Oprah is tops. Very, very scary indeed to follow man and not G-d. We need to pray for Oprah, to find the REAL truth from the Word and for those that she affects, that they will not be taken in by this false teaching.
