I have heard that only God knows our thoughts, but does Satan?

I know he gives us bad thoughts but can he also read our thoughts?

Sometimes I am careful not to pray aloud because I know he can hear me and I am careful what I say too.

I'm not a bible scholar so can someone please help me with some scriptures in answering this question.

thanks so much!

I don't know if you will find physical scripture for that but,,, God is omnipresent-meaning He can be everywhere at once and is able to read our thoughts, Satan wasn't created to be like that-he can give us seeds, just as well as God gives us seeds, it's up to us to not allow those seeds to be sown in our hearts, and to allow only God's seeds to grow.

We need to have a healthy understanding of God's power at work in us and our authority as a believer to realize that satan only has power we give up, so stand your ground. I know that satan can use the words that you can use fresh from the prayer closet-put that it funny, because he doesn't truely know what is yet to come from the Father. Don't give the devil any crdit for anything-in all things give Glory to God.

I believe we can hear the Lord, we hear our own spirit, we can hear our own flesh and we can hear the enemy. Our flesh and the enemy can sound very simular-because our flesh is at odds with our spirit man. The Lord will never bring condemnation, but the devil will. Our flesh will condemn us when we ask for forgiveness, we just have to receive forgiveness by faith and make our flesh line up with the word of God. The enemy only has as much ground and as much power as we give up. He will attempt to bring condemnation-but knowing it's not the Lord-we can rebuke him at the starting gate-and beat him at his game.

Sometime my flesh will have "wicked imaginations", but I confess that to the Lord and ask for forgiveness-and don't receive it to myself. The Holy Spirit/Lord/God will bring conviction-but in that will provide a way out with the Word and with Hope.

Blessings

The enemy & his group have had several thousands to study humankind so it can seem like he can. He can give us thoughts - but we don't have to entertain them. That's when we switch to what's in The Word.

No, I personally do not think that Satan can read our minds. The devil is not all knowing for he is only a created being himself. It is God is who Omnipresent which is being everywhere at once. Satan on the other hand is not like God as he is not omnipresent nor has that power being limited to the air space in our world. Satan is the prince of the air right now according to the book of Ephesians but it does not say in scripture nowhere that Satan is the Creator of the entire universe does it? I believe he even got kicked out of heaven for his pride.

I just think if Satan had this so called mind reading ability that it would also extend to the mind of God and Satan wouldn't have had to approach the throne of God in the book of Job to accuse Job of wrong doing and thus got God's permission to try and tempt Job into not keeping his faith in God but Satan failed. So Satan don't look so all knowing to me in that story.

just my opinions

No. If he could, he would of known that Job would never betray God nor turn from Him. I do believe that he can see the condition of our spirit, being a spiritual being, and act accordingly. I have no scripture to base my belief on.

Satain is not all knowing, but the degree to which he can know what we are thinking is not stated in the scriptures.

He is not a mind reader but a skilled and deceptive adversary, who has a lot of practice with observing human nature. Criminologist can catch a crimminal because thatkind of behavior is pretty predictable, because they are always feeding personal lust and attempt to protect themselves from discovery. However the most unpredictable person is not a sinner but a Christian. He is torn between following the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the desire of depravity.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
