Accepted by faith without understanding

I think the mistake a lot of questioners we run into here on this forum is that has to make sense before they will accept it. A lot of bad theology and work oriented beliefs are simply rebellion from accepting something they don't understand. That is why revelation and illumination are necessary for someone to come to true faith. I believe that continues in our sanctification. Somethings you have to simply accept even if it seems unfair to human logic.

There is a part that blows my mind......After Saul dying and after all david had been through until then, David commanded all to grive the death of saul. The human reaction seen by the people and the Godly reaction by David and the fact David had so much respect that they all obeyed him. He never had a unkind word for Saul. It is exactly not what you asked for but...It is such a great example.

Yet, the more we discover, the more we realize we know less.

Is there any Biblical doctrine, that if you are completely honest, you cannot completely wrap your brain around? But, you know it is Scriptural. So, you just accept it as stated in Scripture by faith.

My problem is ... all the omni(s) ... ie: present EVERYWHERE, at the SAME TIME, all POWERFULL ... hearing EVERYONE'S prayers at the same time!!

Actually, almost ALL of God ... I don't 'get' ... but I accept by faith ...

Just about every thing from Genesis to Revelation. I accept it all by faith, but to say that I truly understand it, would be a lie on my part.

At the risk of keeping the tangent going (sorry, gang!), one of my personal favorite things is the fact that the whole of the Bible is a record of God's search for humanity, not vice versa! Every word, from "Adam, where are you?" in Genesis to "The Spirit and the Bride say 'come!' " in Revelation reveals to us the longing, all-encompassing love of our Father! Hallelujah!

When I consider my salvation to answer the original post. I was sensitive to a "witness in the wind' if I may say that, that there was/is satisfaction for my soul which so needed a sense of security. I thought that I might had found it in mysticism and the like which seemed attractive, but was guided to see that it was/is in the Christian Faith (the gospel of Jesus Christ) that this eternal treasure resided. I was then led , through right teaching to know the substance of this witness which I was then happy to postively respond and commit to.
