If anyone doesn't think so, it's because when you're growing up in it it's harder to recognize. But we are there and time is going faster.

I often see people praying for the Lord's return and wonder if all of those people are as ready for him to return as they think they are. It's not a knock on anyone who has posted in this thread it's just a general consensus. I know myself also can't wait for that day but I'll be the first to say that if it were to happen today I'm not sure if I would be prepared.

As far as the End Times in the news you can look back over the past few decades and see End Time events and stories in the news it's not a new thing or something that is increasing in volume it's just that with the technology we have today it is brought to the forefront more than ever before for instance now if something happens say in China or Russia we know about it within minutes where even just a decade or so ago it would be a couple days after the event took place or longer before we heard about it.

I agree with this. I have to be careful or I get jaded by the news. But it is happening quickly and one just needs to pay attention and compare with the Word.

I wonder the same thing.

I would love to see the second coming.....I'm just not sure I would want to witness everything that comes before it.

It's not so much witnessing everything that comes before as it is and again not pointing out anyone in this thread the number of people who pray for his coming assuming that they will be called up with the masses only to be left behind so to speak. IMO the Christian Community as a whole is not even close to being ready for the return of Christ they think they are but it's false assumption.

Matthew 7: 21-23 " Not Everyone that saith unto me , Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kigdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in they name? And in thye name have cast out devils? And in they name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work iniquity. "

That day will be a surprise to everyone, whether they are calling Him to come now or not.

Matthew 24:36-44

No One Knows the Day or Hour

But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

But the fact that "all the world can see" any particular event does make certain prophecies possible - where they could not have before.

Even if we have not crossed into the end of the End Times yet, we should at least agree that we are seeing the stage being set, at minimum.

altacall, believe me i have not posted in fear, but rather as a recognition of what appears to me to be more signs at any one intersection in time than ever before. what you said about these types of things occuring for 2000 years and all of the folks that have been called the anti-christ is true, but it still seems things are lining up as never before and at a rate that far exceeds anything ever recorded.

it is in anticipation of the coming of my Lord and not a fear of the end that i watch the sky!

I apologize if I infered that you were in fear, I did not mean that. This is an interesting topic and lots to talk about and don't want to interject offense to or on anyone. my "Don't worry about it was a general statement not really directed at you.

i was not offended in the least, i just took the opportunity to clarify my thrill at the coming of the Lord.

Shad,

i look to the sky and i ask fairly often how long Lord, how long can this world continue the way we are going before your return. i look to the sky even on days that i feel that his coming is far off and hope for his soon return. do i consider myself ready? only in the sense of having accepted Jesus as my savior and knowing that my salvation is sealed.

will i be pure and never in doubt or fear when he returns, no! i will be striving to walk with him daily and picking myself up and dusting myself off pretty much everyday. i will still be asking his forgiveness for some shortcoming or other everyday of my life.

in all truth there are some days that i have struggled so badly that i will even think, oh, Lord please don't come right now because i don't have any oil in my lamp.

if not for the fact that God sees me through the shed blood of Christ, trying to stand in the shadow of the cross, i would still be a stench in his nostrils. i am ready because i am saved and he is coming for me because he knew me before i was formed in the lower parts of the earth and he knew what a nasty creature i would be until he paid the price for me and he is soon coming back to gather up his church.

that is why i look to the sky in anticipation for his immediate return.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
