Grace to you Saint's,

Suppose tomorrow ends poorly on a National level in regards to the Election.

What is your next step, because sincerely, I am already being asked by family and friends what this might all mean, and even strangers too.

I have this strange Peace about whatever happens and I suppose that is what I will be trying to convey. That and leaving answers as to what God has to say about the times in which we are living. :)

I am mindful of the times in which the early Church lived and the seemingly possible hostile environment that appears to be coming for our Faith.

When I first awoke from death a while back the first thing I felt led to cry out was;

"Wake Up!"

I'm feeling that way again. :)

What are you going to do supposing the worst?

Peace,

Dave

Wednesday will be the same as today, no matter who wins.

Mat 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly [is] plenteous, but the labourers [are] few;

Mat 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

I plan to labor.

Jhn 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and [then] cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

My "job" will not change based on an election. We need to wake these people up, regardless.

I'm so tired of it all! Regardless who wins, I'm not going to worry about it. The only choice I have is to trust God to take care of me and those I love. And all Christians who trust in Him. It may be rough, but He will see us thru.

See, the Lord God comes with strength, and His power establishes His rule. His reward is with Him, and His gifts accompany Him. He protects His flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them in the fold of His garment. He gently leads those that are nursing. Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand or marked off the heavens with the span of his hand? Who has gathered the dust of the earth in a measure or weighed the mountains in a balance and the hills in scales? Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or who gave Him His counsel? Who did He consult with? Who gave Him understanding and taught Him the paths of justice? Who taught Him knowledge and showed Him the way of understanding? Look, the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are considered as a speck of dust on the scales; He lifts up the islands like fine dust. All the nations are as nothing before Him; they are considered by Him as nothingness and emptiness. Do you not know? Have you not heard? Yahweh is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth. He never grows faint or weary; there is no limit to His understanding. He gives strength to the weary and strengthens the powerless. Youths may faint and grow weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who trust in the LORD will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.

I'm with Kat and Matt. All we can do is continue to move in faith through life. There is nothing we can do about it. God is in control and everything is according to His plan. It's probably too late to WAKE UP!, but there may be a WE TOLD YOU SO (although there will be no pleasure in that.)

I'm going to lean in my fiance's arms as he comforts me while I watch my beloved country go down in flames as the keys to the White House are handed over to a communist! :) Then, my fiance' will talk me out of heading up a revolution. I might even drown my sorrows in ice cream. The day after, I will go to work, and it will be business as usual.

Well these shifts come and go.

Remember it took Jimmy Carter to bring us Ronald Reagan. It took Bill Clinton to bring us a Republican Congress. It took David Dinkins to bring Rudy Giuliani.

If Obama is as totally incompetent as I think he will be this cannot be hidden and we will have another bigger change in 2012, if he ends up being good, well good for us. My biggest worry is his radical pro-abortion stand and what that will mean for the Supreme Court.

My state is already in the bag for Obama so a McCain vote is meaningless here, I will be voting for Bob Barr and the Libertarians or possibly the Constitutional Party, but I am not sure they made the ballot in my state.

My views are the same as they were when I said this a month ago:

I'm thankful I don't have to concern myself with who is elected....

....and neither do you if you're a Christian, although you certainly have the right to worry about it if you so choose.

God's Word tells us that He alone has control over who sits in power in what country throughout all ages. Consider Psalms 75:6-7; Dan. 2:21; 4:17; Rom. 13:1; I Pet. 3:22. You can either believe He still is in control today, as He has always been (John 10:30; Heb. 13:8 ), or suffer the effects of the curse of not believing (Psalm 146:3; Jer. 17:5; Luke 21:26). Whether you're fan of Bo & Joe or Mac & Cheese* makes no difference--God is no respecter of persons and He is still in control. Debate the relative "merits" of each candidate all you want, but if you're a Christian don't waste a lot of your own peace in concern over something out of your hands. Just know the reason it is out of your hands is because God has it all in His. Claim the promise of Psalm 91:8 and sit back and enjoy the spectacle of what He will do.

And you know--this also applies to the so-called financial crisis. God bless y'all.

*"cheese"--my own particular reference to Sarah Palin at the time; I thought she was a bit "cheesy" when I first saw her on TV.

Whatever happens tomorrow, Wednesday get up and be very happy and give God thanks that you don't live in Bangladesh or most of Kenya.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
