  2. Hi VA, Always good to read what you post from your daily readings. Thank you. Such good truth that feeds the spirit.
  3. There is a paralyzing passivity so prevalent in the Church today. As prophetic voices, we must sound the alarm: these are not days of peace! We have no armistice with the workers of darkness! We must stir ourselves out of this stupor, as Scripture instructs us to do. We must rouse to reality and awaken (see Romans 13:11-14 AMP). NOW IS THE TIME TO AWAKEN A non-confrontational attitude is not the role and the responsibility of God's end-time warriors! We must awaken. Now is the time to fully understand and embrace your Christ identity and rise to the occasion (see Joshua 1:7). Your DESTINY and the destiny of coming generations demand that we do our very best – now! (see Proverbs 11:3). RUN FROM COMPROMISE AND COMPLACENCY We must not entertain compromise nor tolerate complacency. On the contrary, we are called to confront the powers of darkness. Rather than remaining passive, complacent, or compromised, it is our responsibility to resist the enemy and stand firm (see James 4:7). Having done all to stand, we shall stand bold and brave, resisting the devil and all his schemes, knowing full well that greater is God's power within us than the devil's power about us (see 1 John 4:4). We are fighting from a place of victory! Why? Because our Lord and Savior has already defeated every foe at Calvary. In Christ, we are more than conquerors. We are truly, practically, eternally victorious in every arena of life – and are not victims (see Romans 8:37). Cast off any "victim" mindset and take hold of the truth spoken by Christ as He gave His life for you: "It is finished!" He fought the war and won – on our behalf. WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS Ephesians 6:1-11 offers great advice concerning the best strategy for preparing for this conflict with the powers of darkness. Be bold, be brave, be very courageous! You are called to a victorious overcomer, to be aggressive in our stand against the kingdoms of darkness (see Joshua 1:9). God has given us bold authority to bind the works of satan (see Matthew 16:18-19). Christ Jesus states we must take a bold stand against the works of darkness if we are going to gain ground for the Kingdom of God – bearing fruit that remains.: "And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the Kingdom of Heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize – a share in the Heavenly Kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion]" (Matthew 11:12 AMP). TAKE A STAND NOW This is a time of confrontation and conflict. Resolve in your heart that you will neither compromise nor retreat, you are going to exhibit bravery and boldness (see Joshua 1:9). Lift your head high and resolve that you, personally – empowered by the Holy Spirit and more than a conqueror – are going to assail the Laodicean spirit in your generation. Now is the time to discover and walk in God's PURPOSE for your life (see Matthew 7:7) so you may disciple other Believers in coming to understand their Christ identity. (see 2 Corinthians 6:2). Now is the time to hold nothing back! Make this hour your finest hour – to "win for the Lamb the reward of His suffering"! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

  5. Yes, the Israelis send food, water and medical supplies in daily. They also drop leaflets, send texts, phone when they plan to attack areas, telling the civilians to get out. But Hamas uses human shields so will even kill people trying to leave. Also, Hamas doesn't wear any uniforms.... apparently that's against some military rules, I forgot the name. All of the above info I heard from P.M. Netanyahu as he was being interviewed by Dr. Phil. The interview is very interesting and was broadcasted a few days ago on Merit Street TV station. The interview is also on YouTube... about 50 minutes long.
  6. I too was away this weekend, and as we all know life's obligations can often greatly restrict one's engagement with others. That said, my life is about to become a bit more restrictive for me as this week I began 6 weeks of radiation treatments, twice a day, 5 days a week. What I've been told is it will be a taxation for sure physically and take one to twice as long to feel normal again. But all His mercies are new every morning, and they all endure forever. So, everyone’s patience is greatly welcomed. That said, I truly appreciate the grace of your discourse. It's refreshing. True, the Jews in many of their national prophecies had a clearer or more specific enumeration of time, by they too did not know the hour or the day of their fulfilment. Therefore, I still think IF we are truly a "people called by His name," and truly living temples sanctified by water and blood for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God which was given to guide us into all truth, and to empower us in the doing and delighting in His will, ever quickening us so that we might come to the fullness of the measure and stature of Christ, THEN surely we all ought to be endeavoring to walking more and more in the light as Jesus Christ so walked. For if we are truly children of the Light and have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches, then we too should be discerners of the time in which we are living, even though we too might not know the day or the hour of His return. (I Thess. 5:3-9) I personally believe that Peter knew the Lord wasn't returning till after 2000 years, with his reminding us, the church, that a day with the Lord was as a thousand years. (2 Peter 3:1-9, Hosea 6:1-3) I personally can never “agree to disagree,” since believers are supposed to have the same Spirit leading us into all truth. I can, however, graciously acknowledge when a disagreement does exist. Yet when it does, at best one might be right while the other must be wrong. Yet even that is rare since we all know in part and thus speak in part. Such is why charity compels the saints to graciously reason together the things the Spirit is speaking to God's people. But while scripture does state "after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off," it is after the prior verse told us that "from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the [coming of] Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks," or after 7+62, or 69 weeks. So, does Messiah's coming and being cut off happen in an extremely brief time period? For remember, the prophetic increment of time-measurement given is a “week,” and not days. So, are we really to understand that 62 weeks after the wall was completed [+7 weeks, 69 total], when Messiah comes, that He is also cut off in between the consecutive weeks? After 69, yet before 70? How can that be? Or might it be that "after 62 weeks" [being 69 in total], yet still prior to the completion of the 70th week [that obviously began right after the 69th], that Messiah fulfilled the Covenant by His answering the prophetic action of the Ceremonial Law via His death, and also confirmed He has the power to raise God's people from the dead (according to the covenant) via His own resurrection, as well as by many other graves being opened afterwards (Matt. 27:52,53), and thereby He brought an abrupt end (or death) to the law, the old covenant and established the new? (Romans 7:4-6, Hebrews 8:13-9:1) Consequently then, because of the Jews rejection of the Lamb which God provided (Genesis 22:8), and their continuing in that which was once lawful but now dead, they were now filling up their cup of iniquity daily with their "crucifying Christ afresh." Therefore, the sacrifices they were now offering to justify themselves by keeping a dead law in eyes of God, their actions were in truth "an overspreading of abominations." Wherefore He fulfilled His own prophecy upon them and destroyed the temple, being "made desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined was poured upon the desolate" via the Titus, son of Vespasian, who was indeed a Roman prince… So, while I am obliged to acknowledge that we do disagree, it will never sit well with me that one of us must be wrong, if not both of us. May God lead us into His truth… Permit me to simply share what Adam Clarke succinctly stated – “After the death of Christ the temple of Jerusalem is never called by the apostles the temple of God; and if at any time they make mention of the house or temple of God, they mean the Church in general, or every particular believer. Whoever will consult (*verses below) will want no examples to prove that, under the Gospel dispensation, the temple of God is the Church of Christ; and the man of sin sitting implies this ruling and presiding there; and sitting there as God implies his claiming Divine authority in things spiritual as well as temporal; and showing himself that he is God, implies his doing it with ostentation.” 1st Corinthians 3:16 – Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. 2nd Corinthians 6:16 – And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? for you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 1st Timothy 3:15 – But if I tarry long, that you may know how you ought to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. Revelation 3:12 – Him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him My new name. Likewise. Stay blessable.
  7. Scientists don't make nearly as much as you seem to think we do. And carcinogens aren't a guess. I think he just got the beans thing backwards. Science shows that beans tend to reduce some kinds of cancer.
  8. 1 Corinthians 10:1-2 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; Exodus 14:12-14 Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians?’ For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.” And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” The Apostle Paul’s discourse in 1 Corinthians 10 recalls the great miracles God performed for the children of Israel during the time of the Exodus. Delivered from Egypt and Pharaoh’s slavery, they were dismayed to discover his maniacal rage pursuing them anew, driving them into a deadly corner and imminent destruction. Humanly speaking, their terror and panic was understandable. With their eyes they could only see the wrath of Egypt succeeding at last to utterly destroy them. In that state of mind, how might they have remembered the consecutive miracles God had wrought against Egypt which had brought them to this very place? Panic has a way of spreading through a crowd, and as it did, the children of Israel bitterly complained to Moses against the Lord. Yet in that desperate moment, with His people full of terror and miserable unbelief, the Lord spoke through His servant Moses declaring His faithfulness and mighty power to save. Stand still! – and see the salvation of YHVH! Nothing to do but stand and be delivered by the mighty Hand…… But then, miraculously separated by fire from their enemies, the children of Israel also needed to walk, to walk by faith on a seabed with walls of water towering on both sides, trusting that the Red Sea would not come rushing down upon them! Truly they were in His hands – beholding once again, the miracles of the Lord! We are standing now on the cusp of eternity, and we too, like the Israelites, are facing our test. The world seems to be teetering on the edge of disaster; so much evil surrounding us, as we wonder how and when can we be delivered from this rising tide of demonic threats? Can we learn from Israel’s moment of panic? Or will we succumb to the rampant fear all around us? Will we have the presence of mind, the discipline, and the faith to remember the miracles God has performed in the past? These words must speak to us: “Do not fear – stand still – and see the salvation of our God, for the Lord shall fight for us – and we shall be at peace!” Those words in our minds and hearts will inspire us to walk through this dangerous world with faith, marveling at His power to protect and bring us to safety. 9. 1 Corinthians 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; Exodus 16:3-4 and the people of Israel said to them, “Would that we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.” Then the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.” Is there something about miracles that makes them forgettable? Or is the problem with us? After journeying for a season the children of Israel were faced with hunger — another test. This time, naturally faced with starvation, they murmured against the Lord, AGAIN! You’d think they might begin to put it together that God truly wanted them to trust Him. Apparently not yet. The dire circumstances attacked their mass cerebral cortex (memory) and once again they went into attack mode, bitterly complaining in unbelief. The Ten Plagues, the pillar of fire, the Red Sea walk, the Egyptian chariot soup, none of these connected to the present hunger pangs. Nature trumped super-nature, and sadly, God Himself. But “YHVH, YHVH Elohim, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness”, what did He do? He poured “angel’s food” down upon them (Psalms 78:25); once again providing supernaturally! Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah, representing our Heavenly Father, exhorted us similarly: “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? Yeshua said to seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness — and He promised that all of these things will be added unto you! Lack of food can and very well may be a test for us in the coming days, and it is one of humanity’s greatest fears. Hunger may test us during this uncertain season. Will we meet it with faith? I am certain, myself, that the Lord’s word concerning provision is and will remain sure: that if I will seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, He will not fail to feed me. 10. 1 Corinthians 10:4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ. Exodus 17:-2-7 Therefore the people contended with Moses, and said, “Give us water, that we may drink.” And Moses said to them, “Why do you contend with me? Why do you tempt the Lord?” And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said, “Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?” So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me!” And the Lord said to Moses, “Go on before the people, and take with you some of the elders of Israel. Also take in your hand your rod with which you struck the river, and go. Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. So he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the contention of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord, saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?” Psalm 11:4-5 The Lord is in His holy temple, The Lord’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men. The Lord tests the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates. The children of Israel are facing yet another test, this one, even more severe than hunger — dehydration — which, unabated, quickly leads to a miserable death. Yet, now, every day they are also seeing the miracles of God, who is feeding them regularly with manna, and surrounding them by a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. Once again, they fail the test, even in the midst of their daily witness of miracles. So even though the test is more severe, the evidence for trust is that much greater. Are some of us also asking this question, “Is the Lord among us or not?” “Is He seeing what’s happening to me, or are His eyes shut to it?” (“His eyelids test the sons of men..”) As a pastor, I’m often faced with this question — “Where is God?” Most often the good and true answer is, “He is testing you!” And I think of the testing the children of Israel faced in their wilderness wanderings. Over and over again, the Lord provided for their needs. This time Moses strikes the rock — and out pours living water! Don’t allow your heart to become hardened in these days no matter how severe the test. As you endure His testing He will touch your heart once again so that His spring of living water may flow through you to this dying and desperate world. Yeshua (Jesus), the Rock of our salvation was struck for the sins of the world, and He promised those who trust Him that living water would flow from our inmost being. And God’s eyes are never really shut. So the question, “Is the Lord among us or not?” will repeat Israel’s sad mistake at Meribah. Just realize and accept that you’re being tested. You will please Him with your faith and His living water will flow from you. Never miss a devotion again! Sign up for our Worthy Briefs! We're being CENSORED ... HELP get the WORD OUT! SHARE!!! 11. Don't blame Harvey he was quoting the high paid guessers.
  12. Why then the need to substantiate prophecies in the Bible with outside sources? Is the text of the other sources as "infallible" and prophecies within them?
  13. Sad, ironic lie they have swallowed --> as Hamas, and its benefactors, openly declares genocide for the Jews. I know of no such declaration by Israel, and it's actions clearly show they are NOT interested in genocide - just the removal of the Hamas scourge.
  14. Yesterday
  15. It's terrible and sad that these people do not realize they are calling for the killing of Jews. They have all played into the hands of Hamas, a terrorist organization that wants Jews eliminated from the face of the earth.
  16. I notice that they are all opinions by scientists who opposed the consensus at the time. For example almost all climatologists, even in the 1970s, were aware that the Earth was going to become warmer. Your display is evidence that scientific consensus is a better indication of the future than the opinions of the minority. Thank you.
  17. Here's how two scientists did on predicting global temperatures. James Hansen of NASA and "climate skeptic" Dr. Richard Linzen: I I'd say that Hansen did a better job. What do you think? See above. You got that wrong. We can (and have) destroyed lush environments and made them unable to support human populations. Warming will almost certainly not kill all humanity, much less destroy the world. But it is already causing death and destruction. And it will get worse before it gets better.
  18. In the sense that smoked meat and meat treated with nitrates has carcinogens. This is true. But so does a lot of other things. Moderation works for most of us. I think Harvey got it backwards on beans though. Fiber in beans is useful in reducing the risk of colo-rectal cancer. Some bean do have toxins that can be carcinogens, but few Americans eat those. Paul Harvey was notorious for getting the story wrong on technical stuff. I loved his "rest of the story" tales, though. I've looked through the literature and nowhere do I see that prediction for Galveston. Depends on who's doing it. When James Hanson of NASA predicted the effect of CO2 on warming thirty years in advance, he got it precisely right. Because he used data and reliable science to make that prediction.

  20. By Brett Rowland | The Center Square (Worthy News) – The illicit fentanyl coming from Mexican cartels is becoming more dangerous, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration. The purity level of illicit fentanyl in the U.S. drug market has increased and the amount of fentanyl found in counterfeit prescription pills has increased, making the nation’s top drug threat even more dangerous, according to the DEA’s most recent National Drug Threat Assessment. A lethal dose of the potent opioid is about 2 milligrams, depending on the opioid tolerance of the user. In 2022, the average fentanyl pill contained 2.4 milligrams of fentanyl, according to analysis by DEA forensic chemists who test random samples of the fentanyl seized in the U.S. Overall, the tested samples ranged from a low of .03 milligrams to a high of 9 milligrams. “DEA forensic laboratory results documented that approximately 7 out of 10 fake pills contain a deadly dose of fentanyl,” according to the report. That’s up from 4 in 10 pills in 2021. The purity of powdered fentanyl has increased. The average purity of the fentanyl powder samples was 19.2% in 2022, a 33% increase since 2021. The overall tested samples ranged from almost no fentanyl to 81.5% pure fentanyl. Those numbers underscore the threat the drug poses to users, DEA Administrator Anne Milgram said. She blamed the growing illicit fentanyl problem on two Mexican drug cartels making synthetic drugs with precursor chemicals from China. “At the heart of the synthetic drug crisis are the Sinaloa and Jalisco cartels and their associates,” Milgram said in a statement. Illicit fentanyl killed nearly 38,000 Americans in the first six months of 2023, according to the DEA report. Synthetic opioids were involved in 74,225 deaths in 2022 – 68% of the total 111,036 deaths that year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “These two Cartels are global criminal enterprises that have developed global supply chain networks. They rely on chemical companies and pill press companies in China to supply the precursor chemicals and pill presses needed to manufacture the drugs,” Milgram wrote in a letter released with the assessment. “They operate clandestine labs in Mexico where they manufacture these drugs, and then utilize their vast distribution networks to transport the drugs into the United States.” The post Fentanyl Coming to U.S. Becoming More Deadly, DEA says appeared first on Worthy Christian News. 21. The mark do not make the person. Jesus calls people with the mark of the beast to come to him in repentance. Jesus calls them the New Creation in his name. Even the helpers of the beast Jesus is calling to repentance. Everyone who calls upon the name of Jesus Christ will be saved. Jesus will never refuse anyone.
  22. Hope you folks do not mind but I would like to throw out some thoughts that have come to mind during my feeble attempt to try and frame this topic…. 1) there is not one who is worthy in God’s eyes, 2) the church is not a physical building, not even a group of people- large or small. It is not male or female, nor Jew or Greek. It is one who does the work of the Lord: he who obeys His Word and believes in the Testimony of Jesus. 3) the tribulation applies to each individual who believes in Jesus and obeys His Word that live during each and every one of the 7 church periods mentioned in Revelation. Each period may have a specific “trial and tribulation” identified but any individual during any time can experience any of those “tribulations.” But the point is that each individual who is a believer in Jesus (as opposed to a church member), will experience tribulation throughout the coming 2000 years within the 7 periods. 4) there is absolutely nothing new under the sun. Man or church have been in sin since Adam. It does not matter where they live, what century, the US or in the past Roman period… the prophecies in Revelation or Daniel are not speaking to the United Nations or the EU or the US, etc. It is ALL about those who accept or reject Jesus as their Lord and Savior … It has nothing to do with the name on the outside of our local church. 5) If this begins to narrow down the possible options for this topic, then, as I believe, each person must establish a personal relationship with God, he will have to experience his own “trials and tribulations,” regardless of the time of his life or the church he belongs to, he will be judged as an individual by God - again, on a purely personal level. 6) the cross brought everything from the corporate to the individual, the external to the internal way to salvation, however, the trials and tribulations will be found throughout the 7 periods of time - available to any and all, but NOT specific to a particular group like the US, EU, etc. 7) but there is a time mentioned that is identified as the Great Tribulation. If the 7 churches each experience a form of tribulation, then this GT would / might speak to the true end of things when God has decreed that time is coming to and end and this particular period will be quite different. It will be extreme, and it will occur just before His return. Essentially, we are going to experience things so we will have to “pick a lane.” Enough.. follow and accept Jesus as our Lird and Savior or … not. And the “or not” is not just choosing a non Christian religion like Islam or Buddhism, etc., but for those billions that call themselves Christians but follow a different Gospel. And a perfect example of this is the RCC with over 1.4 BILLION followers who believe they are worshipping the “God of our father, “ Jesus and His Word. But they and most other Christian denominations may find they are not following the teachings that were heard from His Apostles after the cross (but that is another topic). 8) Consequently, there will be a time when God will declare the “time of the Gentiles” has been fulfilled. He will divinely remove the blindness from the eyes of His people He will no longer remain “desolate” to His people. They, wherever they are on the earth, will recognize the “One they have pierced,” and in sackcloth and ashes, go out into the world preaching the Word of God AND the Testimony of Jesus JUST AS PAUL, JOHN and MATTHEW after the cross. 9) this will last for 3.5 years and complete the 4th and final Great Jubilee cycle (which can only be completed by His people). Literally, billions will now hear the TRUE Word of God which will NOT sound like today’s preachings and practices. This will turn the Christian world upside down. This will turn the non-Christian world upside down when they with the Jews preaching Jesus as their Messiah. This will be a very violent, divisive and troubling time - the world had yet to experience. Bother against brother, father against son, neighbor against neighbor, etc. This is the true and final battle to take place throughout the world. It will not have its “identity” limited to any of our secular terms- US, EU, etc. This period is the Great Tribulation to take place for each of us to make our decision to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior… or not. That is how I am attempting to frame this topic …
  23. By Bethany Blankley | The Center Square contributor (Worthy News) – The number of known or suspected terrorists (KSTs) apprehended at the northern border in the first six months of fiscal 2024 continue to outpace those apprehended at the southwest border. There have been 143 KSTs apprehended at the northern border through the first six months of this fiscal year compared to 92 at the southwest border, according to the most recent CBP data. Those apprehended are known to law enforcement and in the national Terrorist Screening Dataset, a federal database that contains sensitive information on terrorist identities. It originated as a consolidated terrorist watchlist “to house information on known or suspected terrorists but evolved over the last decade to include additional individuals who represent a potential threat to the United States, including known affiliates of watchlisted individuals,” CBP explains. This is after the greatest number of foreign nationals were apprehended illegally entering through the northern border than at any time in U.S. history during the same time period, The Center Square reported. The greatest number of KSTs to ever be apprehended in U.S. history was at the northern border in fiscal 2023 of 484. The next greatest number to be apprehended in U.S. history was 313 at the northern border in fiscal 2022, according to CBP data. Overall, the greatest combined number of KSTs apprehended at both the northern and southerns borders was in fiscal 2023 of 736, The Center Square reported. The greatest number of KSTs have historically been apprehended at the northern border, outpacing those apprehended at the southwest border for years, The Center Square first reported. “The alarming conclusion from these numbers is every day we have individuals that are on the FBI terrorist watch list that could have an intention to harm our country and are entering every single day,” former Border Patrol Chief Mark Morgan told The Center Square. “It’s not if or when the threat tries to come to our country. We already know that’s happening already. The threat is already here,” he said, referring to the at least two million gotaways, those who illegally entered the country and evaded capture. While total illegal entries at the northern border are “minuscule” compared to the southwest border, “the threat is not,” he said. “While there are shortages of resources across the board, the northern border doesn’t have the infrastructure, technology, personnel that the southwest border has. The northern border represents a threat.” In his 30-plus-year law enforcement career, Morgan also served as acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and acting commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He also served for 20 years with the FBI in multiple capacities, targeting organized crime, gangs, and counterterrorism operations, among others. Morgan was among a group of retired FBI counterintelligence officials to warn Congress in January that the presidents’ border policies had facilitated a “soft invasion” into the U.S. of military-age men coming from terror-linked regions, China and Russia. “It would be difficult to overstate the danger represented by the presence inside our borders of what is comparatively a multi-division army of young single adult males from hostile nations and regions whose background, intent, or allegiance is completely unknown,” they warned. “They include individuals encountered by border officials and then possibly released into the country, along with the shockingly high estimate of ‘gotaways,’ meaning those who have entered and evaded apprehension.” Of the more than 11 million foreign nationals who have illegally entered the U.S. since January 2021, the majority are single military age men, The Center Square has reported. Every year the numbers break previous records; this fiscal year is no different. More than 1.7 million foreign nationals illegally entered the U.S. in the first six months of fiscal 2024, the greatest number for this time period in U.S. history, The Center Square reported. Among them are individuals with ties to the terrorist group ISIS, FBI Director Christopher Wray warned earlier this year, after making repeated remarks about heightened terrorist threats since the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel. House Republicans have demanded answers from Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on how many KSTs have been released into the country. U.S. Rep. Roger Williams, R-Texas, introduced a bill to require federal agents to screen everyone who enters the country illegally against the terrorist watch list. Morgan praised the work of CBP and Border Patrol agents apprehending KSTs but also raised concerns about those who weren’t being caught due to the sheer volume coming in and the fact that agents have been pulled away from their national security mandate. “Every single day we have individuals on FBI terrorist watch list who are trying to come into the country,” Morgan told The Center Square. “If you think we are catching everybody, you live in a dream world. If you think we are able to identify everyone on the watch list as well, that’s not happening either. “How many on the watchlist that we’ve apprehended who illegally came into the U.S. were released? How many have claimed asylum and we’ve let them in? “Countless national security threats have gotten by us, and they are in the United States. We know nothing about them, where they are at, or what they are planning to do.” Reprinted with permission from The Center Square. 24. By Stefan J. Bos, Chief International Correspondent Worthy News WASHINGTON (Worthy News) – The 62-year-old man who received the world’s first genetically modified pig kidney transplant has died nearly two months after he underwent the procedure in a U.S hospital, his family confirmed over the weekend. However, in a surprise statement, the transplant team said they “have no indication” Slayman’s death was the result of the transplant, which the hospital trumpeted as a significant scientific achievement. Slayman, a systems manager for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, had reportedly already endured a transplant with a human kidney that had to be removed because of complications. He had been struggling with three-times-a-week dialysis when he agreed to the experimental pig-kidney procedure. Richard Slayman underwent the four-hour procedure at Massachusetts General Hospital in March and was discharged two weeks in early April. Slayman appeared to recover well within a few days of the March 16 procedure. EXPRESSING HOPE When they announced that surgery had been successful, those who treated him expressed hope that such animal-to-human transplants, known as xenotransplantation, offer the possibility of solving the human organ shortage. It was seen as a potential option for the hundreds of thousands of Americans suffering on dialysis. The hospital’s Saturday statement included comments from family members, saying they were “deeply saddened” by his passing. However, they stressed that they were grateful for the extra seven weeks with Slayman. The family added that they realized the research offered inspiration to others. “Millions of people worldwide have come to know Rick’s story. We felt – and still feel – comforted by the optimism he provided patients desperately waiting for a transplant.” The post Recipient Of World’s First Pig Kidney Dies At 62 appeared first on Worthy Christian News. 25. By Stefan J. Bos, Chief International Correspondent Worthy News JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – At 8 pm local time on Sunday, May 22, Israel came to “a halt for 24 hours” to mark “one of the most difficult Memorial Days since our country’s founding,” Israel’s government said. “Every single Israeli knows someone who was murdered, kidnapped, or injured on and following October 7th. We live on Memorial Day every day in Israel. We remember the victims,” Israel added. It was an apparent reference to the massacre of the Palestinian group Hamas of some 1,200 people in Israel, which triggered the war in Gaza. “We remember their sacrifice, and we promise to keep living in their name. May the memory of the victims be a blessing,” the Israeli government said on social media platform X. What is known in full as “Memorial Day for the Fallen Soldiers of the Wars of Israel and Victims of Actions of Terrorism” is Israel’s official remembrance day enacted into law in 1963. While Memorial Day, or “Yom HaZikaron” in Hebrew, was initially dedicated to thousands of fallen soldiers since the establishment of the State of Israel, the commemoration has been extended to civilian victims of terrorism. While ceremonies began after a siren at sunset under the shadow of war, Israel said its account on X, formerly known as Twitter, “Over the next 24 hours…will join other Jewish creators and allies of the Jewish State and share the stories and photos of those we have lost.” MOTHER’S DAY Israel’s government said that “as families mark Mother’s Day on Sunday, there are many Israeli mothers who cannot celebrate with their children.” One of them is Liora Argamni, who is dying from cancer. “Her daughter Noa has been held hostage by Hamas terrorists for more than six months. There are no words,” the government said. She was among the roughly 250 people kidnapped by Hamas. The group is still holding 133 hostages, including human remains for the dozens who are believed to have died since the Hamas atrocities on October 7, Israeli officials say. The grim mood was due to continue Tuesday on Israel’s annual “Day of Independence” or “Yom Ha’atzmaut” in Israel. With Israeli troops engaged in combat operations in Gaza and along the Lebanese border and tens of thousands of people still displaced from their homes, Israel canceled its traditional Air Force flyovers and fireworks displays on May 14. Last month, Transportation Minister Miri Regev, responsible for planning Israel’s Independence Day events, announced that the annual ceremony on Monday evening, which marks the transition from Memorial Day to Independence Day, will be filmed in advance without a live audience. The traditional torch-lighting by notable individuals, usually held at Mount Herzl, is instead organized inside Gaza border communities attacked on October 7, as well as on Israel Defense Forces bases targeted in the Hamas violence, which suffered heavy losses. NATIONAL BEREAVEMENT This is being done to reflect “the overall public atmosphere of bereavement, loss and deep pain of the people of Israel,” an official statement said. Survivors and family members have also expressed objections to dignitaries attending October 7 memorial ceremonies as questions remain about the government’s handling before and after the massacre. Israeli media reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who will not be present, was invited to record a video address. He was also attending a ceremony in memory of fallen soldiers and victims of terror in Jerusalem on Sunday, followed by a “Songs in Their Memory” event at the Knesset, the parliament. Muted celebrations were expected in numerous other towns, and Jerusalem won’t have any fireworks this year, said a municipality spokesperson. Kibbutz Be’eri, which was the site of some of the worst Hamas atrocities on October 7, turned down the honor of having a representative lighting a torch at the central Independence Day ceremony, saying the event’s focus on “heroism” doesn’t reflect the tragedy of the assault. “We believe this format is not respectful or proper, and therefore, in a joint decision, we decided not to participate in the ceremony,” surviving security team members said in published remarks. Also rejecting offers to participate in the ceremony were entertainer and wounded soldier Idan Amedi and Nasreen Yousef, a resident of the Gaza border community of Yated, Israeli media reported. BADLY BURNED Amedi, a singer and actor on Israel’s hit television show “Fauda,” was badly burned in an explosion on January 8 while serving as a commander in the Combat Engineering Corps reserves in Gaza. Six soldiers were killed in the incident, which was accidentally caused by troops, Israeli officials said. “There’s no greater honor, but unfortunately, I cannot accept the honor this year,” he wrote on social media. “So many heroes were discovered on that same Black Shabbat,” a reference to the October 7 atrocities. “Some were my troops in the past or the current war.” Yousef, a Druze woman who Israel said “helped to prevent a bloodbath in Yated on October 7 by using her native Arabic to gather critical intelligence from terrorists,” has said she won’t accept the honor “due to threats” on her life and her family, apparently from within the Arab community. The government regularly assigns ministers to attend various Memorial Day commemorations across the country, but its decision to do so this year without consulting bereaved families sparked a heated backlash, with critics accusing decision-makers of showing insensitivity ahead of Israel’s first post-October 7 national commemoration day. Some politicians and family members of victims of the October 7 Hamas massacres have asked government ministers and lawmakers to also refrain from speaking at various ceremonies on May 12-13, citing concerns that the day will be tainted by politicians whom “many blame” for the failures surrounding “the unprecedented Hamas terror assault.” Several ministers were greeted with protests and disruptions during Memorial Day ceremonies across the country in 2023. Those protests came amid intense national controversy over the government’s efforts to overhaul the judiciary. Yet despite controversies, Israel’s prime minister has expressed hope that the nation will remain united as it faces massive security challenges. 26. By Stefan J. Bos, Chief International Correspondent Worthy News MALMÖ, SWEDEN (Worthy News) – Viewers from over 140 countries decided that Israel became 5th at Eurovision while Switzerland won what is the largest televised song contest in the world, held in the Swedish city of Malmö. The outcome of Saturday’s 68th Eurovision Song Contest came after days of offstage drama and anti-Israel protests over Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza that have overshadowed the musical celebration. Israel ending in the top five among 25 countries in the Eurovision’s grand finale was seen as a miracle by Israel supporters at a time when voting became highly politicized. But experts said the 20-year-old Israeli artist Eden Golan had an amazing performance of “Hurricane,” the song that she had to change after her “October Rain“ song was judged to be referring to the October 7 massacre by Hamas of some 1,200 people in Israel. As she entered the stage, there were cheers and boo sounds as thousands watched Golan representing the Jewish—nation after riots outside the building. Ahead of her singing for an estimated television audience of 180 million, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu encouraged Golan to disregard the protests. “BE BLESSED” “You’re competing not just in the Eurovision in a proud and very impressive manner, but you are competing successfully in the face of an ugly wave of antisemitism — and you are standing up to it and representing the State of Israel with huge honor,” added Netanyahu in a video message The prime minister told Golan that “Be blessed, and know that when they boo you, we are cheering you on.” He spoke as thousands of pro-Palestine protesters, including climate activist Greta Thunberg, protested outside the venue against the Golan’s participation. Thunberg was arrested on Saturday as the pro-Palestine protest turned into a riot outside the Eurovision venue where she was protesting the participation of Israeli singer Golan. “I’m here to show we think it is outrageous and inexcusable for Eurovision to let Israel participate while committing a genocide,” Thunberg told reporters. She did not address the Hamas atrocities that sparked the war. In the end, this year’s trophy of the annual Eurovision extravaganza was handed over in the Malmö Arena to Switzerland’s Nemo for his song The Code. ‘SAFE HAVEN’ Nemo, 24, is the first self-declared “nonbinary” contest winner that promotes itself as a “safe haven” for the LGBTQ+ community. After the very last vote had come in, his “The Code” song was seen getting 591 points from the professional jury and through televoting. Croatia finished second with “Rim Tim Tagi Dim” by Baby Lasagna, receiving 547 points. And wartorn Ukraine ended up in third place thanks to Alyona Alyona & Jerry Heil with their song “Teresa & Maria” on 453 points. Israel was 5th with 375 points, the results showed. The Netherlands was disqualified after its singer Joost Klein had an alleged altercation with a female member of the production crew of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which organizes Eurovision. Klein had also come under pressure after seemingly intimidating Israel’s singer during a press conference. When a Polish journalist asked Golan if she had considered that “her presence at the contest might be endangering the other acts and the attending fans,” the host intervened to say she did not have to answer the question if she did not want to. EBU SECURITY “Why not?” interjected Klein, who sat beside her, a Dutch flag draped over his head. “I think we are all here for one reason and for one reason only… And I think the EBU is taking all safety precautions to make this a safe and united place for everyone. So I think it’s safe for everyone. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be here,” Golan said, prompting cheers and loud applause. Golan had been thrust into the center of the international controversy surrounding Israel’s war. She received heavy security and was reportedly ordered by security to stay in her hotel room when not performing due to safety concerns. Yet, with Israel ending up in the top 5 of the Eurovision Song Contest, she had reasons to celebrate at a time when her nation faced significant military challenges.
