Elderly Neighbor Who Became Intrusive
1to3 replied to JesusIsLove's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
Hi JesusIsLove I also can relate to the topic.(been there,) "There is a saying high fences make good neighbors". or something to that effect. I think that kwik gave wise and biblical answers to this topic. Another thing to consider is the " being a people pleaser " snag. If you feel you are people pleaser, you need to look into yourself to find out why? People who have become people pleasers are many times people who have been abused and bullied at some point in their early upbringing into an abusive subservient position. Their own boundaries were violated at some point , making the understanding of healthy boundaries unclear. These same people need to relearn what healthy boundaries are. The only way you can teach someone else, is by your own examples of doing things. People can also learn better behavior from watching other people with better behavior. and most importantly; God can help to restore a person back to having healthy boundaries. Stating your truth in a polite and respectful manner is always the best policy. Some people look to take advantage of kind people. These same people when they see someone to kind will try and take as much as they can from the situation. And then when they see that you also have a firm side to you, can once again try to manipulate you and the situation by actions to make you feel guilty so that you become all apologetic so that they can return into the a position of you being subservient to them . Don't let this happen, remain firm with your boundaries while keeping a polite, respectful polite christian manner. Pray about the situations and ask the Holy Spirit of God to guide you as to what to say or not say . The lesson to learn here I think is to make your position quite clear from the beginning and if the person does not understand, then keep repeating your position quite clearly. As long as you keep your position and boundaries firm, those that would take advantage, will eventually back off. Its good to be kind, but many can misunderstand someone to kind to quickly and will try to see if they can take advantage of the situation. It is up to you to allow it or not. A persons intentions may be good and not harmful, but only time will reveal that. The only person you can take care of is yourself in terms of behavior. Its really is up to us to keep our own boundaries and state clearly what we feel is comfortable with or not in any given situation. I have had in the past similar problems with intrusive people and neighbors and over extending too soon my availability to people. I have had to learn through trial and error. Today, I value my privacy and make it known to whoever I speak with who comes unto my property. And when someone comes on my property, I remain friendly but with reserve and I keep my boundaries and stand firm on them. If you let yourself become a pushover in these circumstances, it will never end. Best wishes to you; 1to3 -
Some would say that the united states is "cursed" or paying for there falling away from God. (I agree with what Oakwood wrote) Matthew 5:45: 44"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46"For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?…

Lost faith- can I get it back?
1to3 replied to stevec1993's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
Hi Steve; It's normal to question things. If you truly seek a relationship with God, keep seeking Him, seeking His daily spiritual bread for you, Matthew6:11, praying He direct your path, and He will walk this life with you always. The path of life is a journey, His will for us, is to receive more clarity of God consciousnesses in our hearts with every step we take in His will, to clearly see how far off course we were and are when walking against His will for us. Remember there is a good force and an evil force. When we get tempted away from God, we are being seduced by the evil force, a sinful will not from God. The sinful force is part of this world and part of the Adamic nature we inherited from Adam and Eves' disobedience to Gods will for them. Christ Jesus came to break and free us from the bondage of sin . Through Christ Jesus, we have been given to be new creatures with the capacity to live free from sin. Christ Jesus Blood was and IS pure, it was shed to cover our sins and make us acceptable to come into the presence of God. When after true sincere repentance, you ask and allow the blood of Jesus to come and wash away your sins, He comes and washes away your sins. His sin free blood becomes part of your body when you ask the Holy Spirit of God into your heart. With the Holy Spirit of God in your heart and seeking Gods will and spiritual bread every day, you have been given the capacity to overcome sin and its temptations. When you are not fully living in this state, and temptations comes knocking at the door of your heart, and you open the door to it instead of following Gods will, you have placed yourself in a position of sin. In this position of sin, your conscience in Christ Jesus will convict your heart of wrong doing and your heart will want to repent (turn away from sin) and walk back into Gods will. Through the Holy Spirit of God working out in each soul the image of Christ Jesus. “There is one Body” only because “there is one Spirit.” Sin vexes the one, but grieves the other. ...And sometimes me must fall in order to get back up and understand better from the lesson of falling down. virtue that is not tested is not real virtue. The danger with sin is that if you stray to far into sin after sin, and think its o.k., your conscience can become so seared by sin, it may blind you because of pride, to ever find and accept Gods will again. But while you are alive on earth, God is always here to receive you, if you seek Him through His plan of salvation, through Christ Jesus. If you ever asked God into your heart sincerely, through His plan of salvation through Mercy & Grace , The Holy Spirit of God is with you and will not leave you but will try to bring you back to Him and closer to Him as you keep seeking Him. It is when you reject God completely from your life, that God can do no more for you and will leave you be. But before that happens, Christ Jesus is the good shepherd, John10:10. He will go looking for you when or if you stray, He will try and bring you back to your good sense in Him. It is when you have made a clear decision to reject God and His will for your life, than you place your soul in the hands of where God does not live. You have then place yourself into the hands and will of the spirit of death. t The unpardonable sin: Denying God, Rejecting God completely from your heart. James 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. 14But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. 1Corinthians 10: 12,13 …12Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall. 13No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. 1John 1:5,6 5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 if we say we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. God cannot live in you when you sin, He departs from living in your body, when you sin When you ask God to come and make a home in your heart, you are asking the Holy Spirit of God to be with you, to live in your heart to guide you. Your body becomes the temple where the Holy Spirit of God resides. God cannot reside in sin. You need to nourish it daily with the spiritual bread from Gods will everyday. know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit of God? 1 Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit of God who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 20For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. When you walk in the will of satan the will of God departs your body. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God that lives in you when you have repented and asked Him into your heart or He cannot live in you. Ephesians 4:30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.… Only through sincere repentance to God and asking the Holy Spirit of God to come back into your heart, will He come back and make his home in your heart. When , you sin, or miss the mark, the Holy Spirit of God gently will nudge at your conscience and point you back into the right direction. If you ignore His nudging and keep walking in the wrong direction, He cannot do much more then allow you to fall. God will always try His best to bring you back as He IS the good shepherd , but if you keep refusing Him and His will for you, you are basically denying Him and His Word as Truth and so He can not do more than what He as done,as He has given you a free choice to follow the will of God or follow the will of satan. you really have no will of your own, it is either belonging to God or belonging to satan. Matthew 6 : 10 Thy will be done The danger with sin is that it can seer the consciousness of mans heart to a point were the heart has become so filled with self-righteous pride, it can no longer open or be receptive to find God. God could have saved Hitler, Saul, had only they had a heart open to ask God for help. From all records of their lives, it looks like their pride got the best of them and they died unto death in their sin. Matthew 6:33 32"For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34"So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Philippians 4:5, 6,7 5Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. 6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.- 17 replies

I am suffering alone and lost
1to3 replied to NostalgiaGuy's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
Dear NostalgiaGuy (You are not alone) God is with you. So Sorry to hear about your fathers passing. I to lost my father when I was 13 years of age, and then my mother when I was 38 years of age. Both were really sad times, when I did not think that I could go on, but God showed me that He was and is there for me In between that , I have experienced other loses. Just last week my mothers brother passed away. These times of grief have also been circumstances, that brought me to consider more deeply, the true meaning of life. Through it all, God was and is there. This time is an opportunity to draw closer to God. God will respond to your drawing closer to Him. I hope that you mother also can view this time as an opportunity to draw closer to God. In my deep griefs, God has sustained me and shown me He is there despite the sadness, the grief, the struggle. In everything there is a season Ecclesiastes 3:1,2 In Everything There is a Season 1There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven-- 2A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.… The resurrection of Christ Jesus is our hope and strength. John 16: 3233 32"Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 33"These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." When my Mom passed, it felt as if my safety net was removed. A bible verse that helped me a lot was:Philippians 4:6 Philippians 4,5,:6,7 …5Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. 6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Don't despair, God will see you through. Your sister in Christ Jesus. -Praying- -
Quote from OneLight : "Tell me then, how does Satan and the 1/3 that follow him still live?" The bible states that satan and his angels where cast down to earth.Revelation 12:9 The bible states that satan is the accuser of the brethren. 1Timothy 4:13, Revelation 12:10 satan is part of this world system.2 corinthians 4:4 satan is filled with pride, his sentence is death and his sole purpose here on earth is to steal, kill and destroy. :John 10:10 Christ Jesus tells us not to be conformed to this world.Romans 12:2 The garden of Eden was somewhat protected by the tree of Life but because of ( the free will-choice- given by God to man/woman) the vulnerability of falling into temptation existed through satan and by listening to satan flattering Eves pride and allowing pride to overtake her over being obedient to Gods counsel and warnings to both Adam and Eve, she fell into satans trap and Adam followed. (Had Adam been obedient to God, he would have not been tempted, by Eve or the serpant/satan) In the bible is says the order of things is for man to trust God first, then the wife follows the husband and then the children follow the parents.) God rebuked Adam first after they ate the forbidden fruit: Although Eve was the logical person for God to rebuke first, God went to Adam, showing that God considered Adam the "head of the family" for both. "Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, "Where are you?" " Genesis 3:9 Delegation principle: God commanded directly to Adam alone. The prohibition to not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, was made directly by God to Adam. Adam, in turn relayed what God said to Eve. Eve had not yet been created when God told Adam about the forbidden tree. Eve never actually heard God say this direct, but had to trust Adam's word on the matter. "The Lord God commanded the man, saying, "From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die." Then the Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him."" Genesis 2:16-1 When Eve got tempted by satan the serpent and Adam got tempted by Eve, by eating the tree of knowledge of good and evil, because satan lured eve through her pride and then adams pride, they both chose the tree of knowledge of good and evil over the tree of life and so by choosing the tree of knowledge of good and evil, evil/ sin entered them and their adamic nature got tainted with sin. For the rest of their lives and those of their offspring, the genes of sin/death live in them. Notice: “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, ‘Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die” (Genesis 2:16-17). It is clear that this was the only forbidden tree, or what is commonly called the forbidden fruit. The life-giving tree, by contrast, was free for the taking. It should be plain, therefore, that the evil was not in the fruit itself, but in the choice to eat it, against God’s clear command: “You shall not eat.” God had placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, knowing full well that Satan, the “god of this age” (2 Corinthians 4:4), would attempt to bring them under his influence and control. God wanted them to remain loyal and faithful to Him, in order that He might give them every good thing, including eternal life if they accepted His rule over them. His intent was to bring them into His spiritual family in due time. It took Christ Jesus, the Only Begotten son Of God, to come into this word with an untainted Blood line direct from God without sin in it, to buy us back from the stronghold of sin and death. Christ Jesus came to heal our bodies, souls and minds and make us acceptable to come into the presence of God. 1John 1:5,6 God is Light no darkness can enter into the light. Light overtakes darkness, not darkness can live in the light. 5This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 6If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.… the tree of life was meant as a protection from satan/death. Once sin/death entered into Eve and Adam, they were removed form the garden of Eden and the Tree of life stood protected and inaccessible by two -on guard- angels .Genesis 3:24 Remember satan was cast down and was roaming the earth before Adam and Eve.satasn is part of this world system. Satan’s fall from heaven is symbolically described in Isaiah 14:12-14 and Ezekiel 28:12-18 What we do know is this: the angels were created before the earth (Job 38:4-7). Satan fell before he tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden (Genesis 3:1-14). Satan’s fall, therefore, must have occurred somewhere after the time the angels were created and before he tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Whether Satan’s fall occurred a few minutes, hours, or days before he tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden, Scripture does not specifically say. The book of Job tells us, at least at that time, Satan still had access to heaven and to the throne of God. “One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them. The LORD said to Satan, ’Where have you come from?’ Satan answered the LORD, ‘From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it’” (Job 1:6-7) Why did Satan fall from heaven? Satan fell because of pride. satan desired to be God, not to be a servant of God. And satan tried to convince humans to do the same as him for satans role is to steal, kill, destroy, because its nature/spirit is destruction, death. Eternity has no death. God is etrnal. To come and join to God, we must be free from the stronghold of death. Only God can remove this stronghold by the covering of His divine plan of Love, Mercy and Grace. God declares through Holy scripture that the last beast to die will be death. 1Corinthians 15 25, …25For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. 26The last enemy that will be abolished is death. 27For HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET. But when He says, "All things are put in subjection," it is evident that He is expected who put all things in subjection to Him.… 2 Thesalonians 2: 7,8,9 7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 8Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,… In revelations 6: 7,8 it describes death to be riding on a pale horse satan is the fallen angel/ spirit of death 7When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, "Come." 8I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Hi Alex; I just wanted to say to you concerning the "weather" that I agree with you that there is something very wrong with what is happening with the weather and that most definitely we as humans are doing damage to our planet that is helping to bring all these erratic weather changes.

I would like to apologize to you shiloh and to all persons. After some reflection and prayer, I would like to apologize to you all for my comments on being -fat-. At the time I wrote it I did not see it as being not the right thing to do, I thought to point out that food indulgences can be another stronghold that many can be blindside about. I do apologies and will try to in the future be more careful as to what I write in a post. My goal is to grow in Christ always and repent when I see I've missed the mark. I hope you all can accept my apology Sorry , I am truly sorry

Just found this: http://www.gotquestions.org/Christian-cursed.html "Can a Christian be cursed? Will God allow a curse on a believer?" Answer: The Bible tells us that “like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse does not come to rest” (Proverbs 26:2b). This means that foolish curses have no effect. God does not allow His children to be cursed. God is sovereign. No one has the power to curse one whom God has decided to bless. God is the only One able to pronounce judgment. “Spells” in the Bible are always described negatively. Deuteronomy 18:10-11 numbers those who cast spells with those who commit other acts “detestable to the LORD” such as child sacrifice, witchcraft, sorcery, divination, or necromancy (consulting with the dead). Micah 5:12 says that God will destroy witchcraft and those who cast spells. Revelation 18 describes spells as part of the deception that will be used by the antichrist and his “great city of Babylon” (v. 21-24). Though the end-times deception will be so great that even the elect would be deceived if God did not protect us (Matthew 24:24), God will utterly destroy Satan, the antichrist, and all who follow them (Revelation chapters 19-20). The Christian has been born again as a new person in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and we are in the constant presence of the Holy Spirit who lives within us and under whose protection we exist (Romans 8:11). We do not need to worry about anyone casting any sort of pagan spell on us. Voodoo, witchcraft, hexes, and curses have no power over us because they come from Satan, and we know that “the one who is in you [Christ] is greater than the one [satan] who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). God has overcome him, and we have been freed to worship God without fear (John 8:36). “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? ” (Psalm 27:1). Recommended Resources: Victory in Spiritual Warfare by Tony Evans and Logos Bible Software. i agree that it is more than just exercise. If one ever joins in on a class, they would witness that it involves bowing and using certain terms of speech. Yoga is meant to be practices a way of living. also on can get injured as some of these positions are quite advanced and not suitable for basic average physical health and ability. But exercise like calisthenic exercise are very beneficial to our health and should be encouraged as they help keep the body limber, and the circulation clean.

Sin is doing anything that leads to death. Physical, mental, spiritual. Sin is always led by pride. Lucifer was the first to fall from Gods grace because of his pride. eve was tempted by her pride. adam succumbed because of his pride. Pride led to their eventual death and pride follows in our genealogical adamic nature. Christ Jesus came to break us free from the genealogical adamic nature of pride. His pure untainted sin free blood was shed to cover our sins and make us acceptable in Gods sight. we need Christ Jesus in our lives, in our hearts everyday to be overcomers of our sinful adamic nature and to overcome death. We become transformed by the blood of Christ Jesus working in us everyday. If we truly have accepted Christ Jesus in our hearts, we know when we are sinning or missing the mark. the Holy Spirit of God, gently chastises, comes and convicts our hearts of our sins, brings us into the awareness of them and helps us to overcome our sins, one by one, step by step. The Holy Spirit of God in our hearts helps us to SEE them (our sins) for what they are and convicts our spirit to begin to make better choices that are in alignment with Gods love and will over the alignment of our willful pride. God through His only begotten Son Christ Jesus can heal us from our sins and sicknesses. We need our daily spiritual bread every day. His will not ours be done. Amen! We need to put on our spiritual armor everyday. We need to be in relationship with God through His Only begotten Son Christ Jesus everyday to overcome our pride that wills us to fall into sin. We need the Blood of Christ Jesus daily as a protection over the enemy= evil/pride/death. The closer one draws towards God, through the blood atonement of His only begotten Son Christ Jesus, the less one desires to be a part of the world and its ways of doing things.

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalms 119:11 He is the potter we are the clay. He helps to refine us as we desire to draw closer to Him. Virtue that is not tested is not virtue. God through His Only Begotten Son Christ Jesus helps to transform us into His new creation.Praise God. Lead us away from temptation and deliver us from sin. God has not given to us more than we can handle. react not to the devil and he will flee. Seek first the kingdom of the Lord and His righteousness than all those things shall be given to you hallelujah! Christ Jesus is the good shepherd. He is the vine we are the branches the dead branches are burned away without Him we can do nothing with Him ALL things are possible. with Him, we get filled with His Love, with His Light, with His Holy Spirit. we get transformed by His Love, Light, Holy Spirit working in our hearts as we seek Him daily for our daily heavenly bread, He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, Halleluiah! Amen! Praise God forever more! He can heal sickness He can deliver us from sin -Isaiah 53- Because He lives, I can face tomorrow Because He lives, He has salvaged , delivered me Because He lives, He forgives, heals, transforms. Without Him, i would not be the person I have become through Him. Because of Him, I have grown to understand more and more that with Him and in Him, I am His workmanship. with Him, I seek to be more and more in the light and live less and less in the dark. The work in not finished but it progresses as I desire daily to seek His ways over my will. If I know scripture, but cannot practice His love I have not understood.

The word used that says "perfect" is the word for "complete". We are to be made complete in Christ, lacking nothing. I like that WilliamL brought up the word complete. It has helped elevate my understanding. Thanks

Hi Turtle Two; Just to say that I appreciated your post on not being sure that you are welcome here. I did not feel comfortable to say this in the open, but I too have felt at times unwanted here and have thought to leave a few times. In the first weeks when I just joined, I was very surprised and hurt when a member insulted me, called me ignorant, when I gave my sincere opinion on a certain topic. I had just joined and started to question if this really was a christian site and if it was better for my walk in Christ to just leave this site. I still don't consider it nice or Christ like behavior to be rude or insulting to people when opposed to their opinion ( there are more uplifting Christ like productive ways to go about things) but like us all, we need our daily relationship with Christs in our hearts to help Him work and transform us more and more into His new creation. Also, I have tried to interact with some (not all), and I have found some whose response to me, have been quite cold and offsetting. But I have also received some very kind responses. it is the kind responses that I hold unto. Also as for me, coming from a very dysfunctional family background, I have had a lot of insecurity, trust issues, so I know that about myself, so I try real hard when I feel someone being cold to me on this site, to just step back for a moment and pray for the person and about the situation. You got some very helpful responses in the forum section on this topic, that also helped me a lot. I am glad you are here, and have appreciated your courage to place your post, it helped me also, so thank you . P.S. I love your swimming turtle, it was one of the first pictures that caught my attention. I even saved the image in my picture file, I liked it so much. I'm glad you are here turtle two, and wish you a blessed day in our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.

It was my understanding that their are two types of speaking in tongues, one is from another "known language" and the other kind is a unknown language only understood by God, so that the devils cannot understand. From The Living Bible -Paraphrased- Self-HelpEdition 1Corinthian14:2 But if your gift is that of being able to "speak in tongues", that is to speak in languages you haven't learned, you will be talking to God but not to others, since they won't be able to understand you. You will be speaking by the power of the Spirit but it will be a secret. 3-But one who proĥesies, preaching the message of God, is helping others grow in the Lord, encouraging and comforting them. 4-So a person "speaking in tongues" help himself grow spiritually, but one who prophesies, preaching messages from god, helps the entire church grow in holiness abd hapiness The KingJames version : 1 Corinthians 14:2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 3- But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation to men, 4-He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. The above shilow357 was what I was trying to say . shiloh357, on 14 Feb 2015 - 7:23 PM, said: the idea of two types of tongues, one being a human language and one being a supernatural language, is not supported in the Greek of the New Testament. alisonm328, on 31 Jan 2015 - 12:12 AM, said: Is this verse speaking of praying in tongues? And is there anyone with a lot of experience with speaking in tongues that would be willing to chat through email because I have a lot of questions about it? From my understanding Ephesians 6:18 is explaining to us how to effectively pray :IN THE SPIRIT of GOD. Asking God for anything in line with what the Holy Spirit of Gods wishes. What the Holy Spirit of God wishes for us is written in the Holy Bible. So when we pray, our prayers need to be aligned with what is written in His Word. The Living Bible-paraphrased- Self Help Edition- Ephesian 6:18 18-Pray all the time. ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit"s wishes. Plead with him, reminding Him of your needs and praying earnestly for all Christians everywhere. King James version: Ephesians 6:18 18- Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to the end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. In Ephesians ch6, Paul is explaining to us that we do not only wrestle with flesh and blood but also with the evil spirit world. Paul teaches us as Christians in chapter 6 HOW TO arm ourselves everyday. Praying to God everyday is part of applying the armor of God in our lives. Ephesian 6:18 is about praying to God

Thank you very much shiloh357 I also had read (a long time ago) that Hitler was very much involved with esoteric societies and got involved with esotericism. The swastika was a symbol for the Aryan people, a name which, in Sanskrit means "noble". The Aryans were a group of people who settled in Iran and Northern India. They believed themselves to be a pure race, superior to the other surrounding cultures. Heinrich Himmler, the dreaded head of the SS, called himself a Kshatriya (the second highest caste), performed yoga exercises and carried the Bhagvat Gita. He was delusional in assuming himself as the Arjuna (the hero of Mahabharata). He assumed that he was leading a just war. See: Nazi leader Heinrich Himmler a fan of yoga - Telegraph http://www.berzinarchives.com/web/en/archives/advanced/kalachakra/shambhala/nazi_connection_shambhala_tibet.html http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/sociopolitica/sociopol_thule10.htm http://www.quora.com/What-is-the-story-behind-the-swastika-Hindu-symbol-Is-its-resemblance-to-the-Nazi-symbol-just-a-coincidence

This is an interesting statement Shiloh357 can you share any documentation about this above statement, so that the claim can be defended?

It was my understanding that their are two types of speaking in tongues, one is from another "known language" and the other kind is a unknown language only understood by God, so that the devils cannot understand.

Well I know that february is a tough time for many and winter in the very cold can take its toll, especially for those who are home bound. A litte friendly cheer from a kind heart is a nice thing to do. I know some people who cannot go out much and sending them a little greeting can go a longway in making them feel that they are not forgotten.
