I always wondered about that widow who gave all. The Word is silent on her outcome. I know she did a good thing, but perhaps her gain was heavenly instead of earthly? I have found God gives me what I need. My ambitions and fleshy desires are not His interest apparently.

As BeauJangles stated, the prosperity gospel. I fell for it and gave money to support what I think now is a lie. I was led to hope for blessings through giving money. Money I really couldn’t afford to give, but whatever. It’s on so many TV Christian channels!
