I want lots and lots of water. I want to swim and swim and swim. And I want to lay in my front yard and watch a new galaxy being formed. I want to stroll through beautiful gardens as I listen to David playing his harp and singing his psalms. I want to feel the warmth of the heat from the Light of the World. I want to see Jesus' reflection in the the crystal sea. I want my mansion to be warm with joy and love. I want to experience me with no sin nature. And you. I want to be able to see all that God created/creates simply by looking at it. I want to sit in the garden while Jesus tells us stories of wonder. I want to see my son. I want to fly and float and soar with the heavenly host. I want my mansion to have no doors. And no walls. I want to stand in the presense of my Lord and know that I am home. I want to see colors that are non existant in this realm. I want to eat food prepared by angels. I want to see everyone there.

I'm hanging out at Trav's place! :a:

Before I get into that, I would say, I want to make sure I am going to make it into heaven, through having faith in Meshiach with a pure heart, that means following Him where ever He goes, and saying what He says, for me to say. Plus I would think I do not even know what I want which is perfect as far as a place to stay, I would love any place He wants to give me, He knows what is best.

In John 14:2 "mansions" is more properly rendered as "abodes" as it is in verse 23. The many abodes here are just the many members of the Body of Christ (Rom. 12:5), which is God's temple (1 Cor. 3:16-17). This verse should be taken in context with the rest of the passage in which the Lord describes the believer's being indwelt by the Triune God, and the Triune God becoming a dwelling place for the believers.

AMEN :D:):):t2::t2::t2::t2:

Mansion

monh mone mon-ay'

from 3306; a staying, i.e. residence (the act or the place):--abode, mansion.

John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

YEE HA!

Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

This word is only used twice in the New Testament, both times in John 14. The first is verse 2, which has already been pointed out, and the second is in verse 23. John 14:23 says, "Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come and make an abode with him."

It stands to reason that if the same word is used in verse 2 as in verse 23 then, in context, it should be translated the same way. However, if we use the English word "mansion" in verse 23 instead of "abode" then the meaning of the verse is changed. Therefore, verse 2 must be translated as "abodes" instead of "mansions."

In verse 23 the Lord Jesus is telling the believers that He and the Father will make an abode with whoever keeps His word. In light of the revelation of the Scriptures, this simply means that the believers become a dwelling place, and abode, of the Triune God, in spirit.

Romans 8:9 states clearly that the believers are the dwelling place of the Triune God: "...if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you..."

There are several other verses that we can quote that prove that the Triune God comes to dwell in the believers the moment that they believe into Christ. But I think that many of us are already well familiar with them. Surely every believer knows that God comes to dwell in them the moment that they believe into Christ.

Another word that is used in John 1:14 is skenoo. This word is translated in the English as "dwelt" (The Word became flesh and dwelt among us). However, if we examine this word closely, we find that it is actually referring to a kind of dwelling place, a tent. Actually, this word is more properly rendered as "tabernacled." When the Triune God stepped out of eternity to dwell on the earth as the man Jesus, He was the tabernacle of God on the earth.

However, God was not just content to dwell among His people. God's desire from eternity past was to dwell within His people, to be their life and their everything. Therefore, Jesus went through a process (death and resurrection) to release the divine life, that God's people could themselves be the temple of God. The children of Israel carried the tabernacle in the wilderness, but eventually they built a temple for God's dwelling place. In God

Luke 11:11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
