I am pretty sure that this is common accepted knowledge among the scientific community - creationists and evolutionists alike. I think you can find it on the answersingenesis.org site through a search.

I must be missing something - I found very little at this site, that addressed that comment that ALL races came from Africa.

Answers in Genesis is a good site but, for really in depth articles, I recommend Science Weekly or Science Daily. Like this one on the origins of man......we all really did originate in Africa.

Show me this in scripture please.

It's there, if you look. We all descended from the same two people who lived in the Garden of Eden at one point but were expelled from there. My theory is that they traveled to Egypt (which is in Africa) or thereabouts and started a family.

A theory is not fact, and it appears that many here are trying to make this sound factual. I am not interested in theories of what might of been, but what scripture tells us.

Genesis 3:22-24

Then the LORD God said,

but can anyone show me the Biblical Scripture that indicates ALL races originated in Africa (the OT map I saw showed only a tiny part of what may be considered modern day Africa) and also, where in the Bible does it say that "most" people descended from Africans?

if the Bible can be trusted, then we all came from the Garden of Eden which was located in modern day Iraq

Well, Brother Yod, the Bible has never steered me wrong and that's what I think, too. It really matters little where any of us came from - it's where we are going that counts!! Blessings!!

Sorry, I can't help what does, or does, not interest you. There are way more people debating this than just you, me or any other thousand people. :emot-headphones:

I have a question, what in the world is "reverse" racisim. That term sounds more and more foolish everytime I hear it. It is either racism or not. There is no such thing as reverse racisim.

amen!

But I think it means a reaction to racism that is racist itself.

Hey Ruck. Google the term and choose which site you want to believe. Most say about the same thing, but others are a bit different, as in all web stuff ... Personally, I've never used the term.

Ok show u in scripture. You sound like the guy from another post on here that was harrasing all the christians and objecting everyone's response. I will tell u to first start with the book of genesis. Do you see the geology? Also do you see what KIND of natural resources where in the garden? Do you know where those rivers mentioned are at and how long they travel?

I just have a question? Where does it say in the bible to have a discussion on race amoung christians? or where in the bible does it tell us to have debates on issues of the day? But we are doing it arent we? Lets not get on our high horses here because we could all learn a thing or two from one another if we will listen with an open mind. Do you research the bible to know how to do your job at work? of course not, there are manuals at work that tell you how to do your job.

God always leaves clues... Even if the garden of eden was in "modern day iraq.... do u realize that that area back then were populated by predominately african descent? Also for those who may not know, there are a lot of missing books/scriptures of the bible.... and the "authorised" authorized by king james of england by the way- king james version even lists some of those "missing books". God gave us the parts that are needed to do our christian duties and the rest he will uncover as he sees fit and we will all know the whole deal when that great day of the Lord comes.

But in the meanwhile if u will take the time to do some research and read the bible you will find out to your surprise that it is rich with african history. It even mentions the events of slavery in the book of Isaiah. I dont have time to give you a whole lesson on hebrew/ jewish/african/ roman history but i wish i could.... the rabbit hole is really deep. And it takes a long time to study it and compare to history in scripture which i did compare my research to scripture. By the way I also cant find a direct passage that says that the Garden of eden was in Iraq. Can you show me that in scripture without using any other means?

Kemetbeauty,

Hello and welcome to Worthy. I would like to comment a bit on the response you posted to Onelight's question. I only want to say that no one is picking on you or trying to be contentious. Onelight is one of the most knowledgeable Bereans on this Board. He takes the study of the Bible very seriously, and he knows quite a lot about theology and Biblical history. We all take very seriously what is commented on about Biblical scripture - so, if someone makes a statement of fact about what is in the Bible, they shouldn't have a problem directing us to it. When you do have time to teach us what you know about Hebrew/Jewish?African/Roman history, I, for one, would be very interested in learning what you have to say. Please know that we are here to learn, teach and support each other as Christians. Blessings.

I know this thread extremely well.

I will tell u to first start with the book of genesis. Do you see the geology? Also do you see what KIND of natural resources where in the garden? Do you know where those rivers mentioned are at and how long they travel?

Let's look at what is

Genesis 2:8-14

The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads. The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which skirts the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. And the gold of that land is good. Bdellium and the onyx stone are there. The name of the second river is Gihon; it is the one which goes around the whole land of Cush. The name of the third river is Hiddekel; it is the one which goes toward the east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates.

If you check the locations of the Tigris (Pishon) and the Euphrates rivers, you will see that they begin it what we call Turkey today and flow through Iraq. They end in the Persian Gulf. Scripture also tells us that the river went out of Eden to water the garden and that the garden is East of Eden. This is Iraq. No matter how you look at it, it is not Africa.

I see nobody but you "getting on their high horse". I asked you to give scripture to back what you stated. This is what we do to ensure what we take in is true or not, and is very scriptural.

God always leaves clues... Even if the garden of eden was in "modern day iraq.... do u realize that that area back then were populated by predominately african descent?

I disagree. Are saying is that Adam and Eve came from Africa? This is not scriptural any way you look at it. God does not leave clues about where the Garden of Eden was and is very clear where creation took place.

They were not added to the cannon for a reason. They contradicted the OT and the traditions passed to the early church by the Apostles.

But in the meanwhile if u will take the time to do some research and read the bible you will find out to your surprise that it is rich with african history. It even mentions the events of slavery in the book of Isaiah. I can assure you that there are many here that have spent most of their lives studying scripture. I would be very interested discussing your beliefs with you.

May you find peace in your walk.

In His Love,

Alan

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
