Please look harder, neb. You're still young, you have many possibilities ahead of you.

:emot-highfive: I'm less than half a year away from 40.

There's never any way we can know what the Lord has planned for us. You ARE needed, deep down you know that, but I guess we all need to hear it once in a while.

Yeah, you're right. But sometimes I wish I had more than faith to know (believe) this. Especially when my problems, struggles, etc. are beating me up more than I'm overcoming.

There's no rush; you can live out the life He has planned for you and then spend eternity with Him.

Well, I sure would like to know where my place in His plan is.

Hi Nebs,

I have often struggled with that same question; " what is God's plan for my life?". For me it seems that God just wants me to light up the dingy little corner that I'm in with His love. Believe me the world is so full of darkness, and people around me that need to hear the truth of His love.

While I'm witnessing about Jesus, He usually leaves me where I'm at until I'm finished with whom ever He wants me to talk to, then I'm off in another direction. I've stop trying to figure it out and just roll with the flow.

Oh and I always look for the silver lining in everything, you say you are one year from being 40, well guess what be thankful, I'm a couple of years away from 50, but I'm thankful, I'm still breathing, and kicking, LOL.

God Bless you

Bob

I think the Lord gives you these feeling so that you can stay right here on earth

Yeah, and that's why I share this, for those who likewise struggle.

For many of you, while going to be with the Lord is a joy, it also involves sacrifice - leaving behind a spouse, children, people you are ministering to?

For some of us, what sacrifice is there?

So yeah, this is what I'm finding.

You are so needed on this earth,

Well, it's hard for me to see that.

Please look harder, neb. You're still young, you have many possibilities ahead of you. There's never any way we can know what the Lord has planned for us. You ARE needed, deep down you know that, but I guess we all need to hear it once in a while. There's no rush; you can live out the life He has planned for you and then spend eternity with Him. Yes! You can do both because you are one of His and are blessed beyond measure. If you want to vent you know we, on this forum, will listen.

Hey mg, I was wondering what did you mean when you said "theres never any way we can know what the Lord has planned for us". How do you explain being spirit led? Has God ever spoken to you? Have you ever found His will through fasting, prayer, conformations? Acts 16:6,7" And they passed through the Phrygain and Galatian region, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia; 7. and when they had come to Mysia, they were trying to go into Bithynia, and the Spirit of Jesus did not permit them" Paul was able to know Gods will for himself and others. All the prohpets of God must have know the will of God inorder to write what they did. How could we have the Bible if people of God could never find out Gods plan for them? Habakkuk 2:1-3 "I will stand on my post and station my self on the rampart; And I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me, And how I may reply when I a reproved. 2. Then the Lord answered me and said, Record the vision, And write it on tablets, That the one who reads it may run. 3. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal, and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay." This prophet of God heard the will of God and was told to write it down on tablets. Hum...... I may be misunderstabding you and if i am sorry. If I am not, how do you answer these?

I'm less than half a year away from 40.

So still a youngster then...... :noidea:

The words of this song have been bouncing around my head for days now.

"Better one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere"

We can live in His court here and now (a pale comparison as to what is to come, but His court never the less). When the curtain was ripped at Golgotha His court was revealed, and we only have to step into it

As an aside. There are people that are struggling with depression on worthy. More than one.

If life has taught me anything, it is to jump in feet first. God gave us endless choices that we can make. I have always dived into life feet first. Have I been hurt before? of course. But He is always there to pick me up, dust me off, and push me back into the ring!

I could not imagine doing it any other way. That would be boring. My life has been enriched because of it, even through my depression, which changed me, and I came out of it all the stronger thanks only to Him.

We can stand in the shallow end with a deepwater faith, or we can start swimming.

Dive in now!

Blessings

Nebula, 39 and half, most women won't tell their age, that takes confidence, remember this, "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?" Jeremiah 32:27 Just when we think it is impossible, that is when God likes to show us His Power. After all the kindness and love that you have shown all of us here, God will not forget you.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints and do minister. Hebrews 6:10

You have more than faith and you are a great teacher and you have taught me and other here so much, but I would like to quote Carmen, when the devil is beating you up, just remind him of his future (will something close to that). Remember Jesus wants you to cast all of your cares upon Him. (I Peter 5:7). And because of the Holy Spirit being in you, you have overcome and for that manner have help many of us to overcome (I John 4:4).

IMPO I think I know where one of your places in His plan is for you, to continue to feed His lambs/sheep (John 21:15,16, 17) here on Worthy. The Holy Spirit has gifteth you to minister milk when it is needed (I Peter 2:2) and meat when it is needed (Hebrews 5:14). This shows a great gift of discernment which is much needed in His Church today.

Hi Dear sister Nebula,

:noidea:

I hadn't replied till today because I felt a bit emotional reading your OP.

Someone said this to you in their reply:

You have more than faith and you are a great teacher and you have taught me and other here so much,

That is how I feel about you and you have been someone whose postings I always am excited to read here on Worthy!

This is my favorite prayer (next to Jesus' in the garden). The bold is my favorite verse in this prayer. It's gotten me through a lot of tough times. God is Sovereign.

1Sa 2:1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

1Sa 2:2 There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

1Sa 2:3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

1Sa 2:4 The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.

1Sa 2:5 They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.

1Sa 2:6 The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

1Sa 2:7 The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.

1Sa 2:8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.

1Sa 2:9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

1Sa 2:10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

When I long to escape, He brings this prayer to mind, and this verse in particular, and I'm reminded that He brings me down to the grave and raises me up again in order to make me a new creature in Christ. This He does while I live here. So, I choose to endure until He resurrects me here again, and I feel renewed. Death really isn't all that bad to endure when you know Jesus and all the newness in Him is waiting for you when God raises you up again. And when He raises me in all my shiny, white, newness, I want to stay and see what He's going to do with it. Eventually I get all that whiteness stained again, and down into the grave I go to be cleansed and raised in cleaness again.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
