Palestinians warn Obama not to stand in way of statehood

The Palestinian Authority knows all the right buttons to push with Washington. The Palestinian leadership is fully aware of the value US President Barack Obama (like his predecessors) puts on overseeing an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement, and has regularly wielding that weakness like a diplomatic bludgeon against the White House.

On Saturday, the Palestinians were at it again, warning the Obama Administration that vetoing their UN Security Council bid for statehood would "destroy" the two-state solution to the conflict.

"Anyone who supports the two-state solution should back the Palestinian effort [at the UN]," insisted chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat.

They 'warn' us not to stand in their way! I don't believe I have even heard of us being warned in thie manner before.

With this upcoming vote and the nut job coming to NY, there is much to pray about. We need our two men freed from Iran,

but only under God's conditions.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem.

The two state solution has been dead since 1948 when they tried to destroy Israel..... They have not stopped. We'll see how Obama handles it, but woe to us if he screws this up.

With all the upheaval going on in the World at this time, I think that the UN's Security Council should "table the idea" or "simply look into the matter for a few weeks or months". The focus of the UN right now I think should be on the way we are {reacting} to this World Wide Money Issue.

This is what happens when you cowtow and even bow to foreign leaders. When you project weakness in both policy and action bullies will take full advantage of it.

I am wondering what will happen if the UN does accept the two state idea, but Israel refuses it. The Palestinians will no doubt start an uproar, causing affections to those in Israel. How bad of a war will this start?

I don't think Obama will not veto it, he will. He's seen the ramifications of the Jewish vote that he's lost just recently in New York. Although, stranger things are happening.

There could be a War and it looks like Turkey and Syria are brewing for a fight to head off domestic troubles. Meanwhile, Egypt has made herself and enemy of God as well.

This administration, like all the administrations going back to Truman, doesn't give a flying fig about Palestinian statehood. The American people don't care about this issue either. All of the 'peace talks' in the past 60 or so years have been recurrent dog and pony shows and a colossal waste of time. There will be no peace for Israel until the Lord returns.

Tautology alert! To kowtow means to bow, albeit in a very exaggerated bow which involves kneeling down and touching he ground with your forehead.

As to the main topic the Palestinian authority doesn't have the clout to bully Obama. However much personal amenity there is between them, Bibi will be the foreign leader he'll listen to on this.

I, of course, hope I'm wrong on this, even though I don't think recognition by the UN is much more than a propaganda stunt. All those involved, even Netanayahu, know that only solution to this problem is a negotiated two (viable) states agreement.

Won't happen.....ever. The solution would be to pack up the alleged Palestinians and dump them in Jordan and Syria where they belong, then to raze the territories and rebuild that area for Jewish settlers. Why the Israelis suffer squatters on their land baffles me. :noidea:

All those involved, even Netanayahu, know that only solution to this problem is a negotiated two (viable) states agreement.

Which the Arab world has continually sabotaged at every turn. The ONLY reason that their has never been a two-state solution is intransigence of the Palestinians and the rest of the Arab world. The Arab world rejected the two-state solutions from 1936, 1948, and 2000, all of which the Zionists and the nation of Israel agreed to.

A two-state solution is a child's fantasy so long as the Palestinains are ruled by terrorist thugs like Fatah and Hamas. Israel supports a two-state solution, but not within the current climate where the Palestinians and the rest of the Arab world continue to foment a state of belligerence with the gov't and people of Israel.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
