Does it really matter what we think, or does it really matter what God thinks? It doesn't matter if a sin is a "small" sin or a "large" sin, sin is sin and separates us from God. May I suggest that you look at how you are prioritizing these events in your heart. It is hard to believe that you don't care, but rather, they your prideful nature is causing you to place your feelings about His ways.

Repentance is necessary to becoming a good christian. Anybody who does not repent could face the wrath of God

I agree with all the above, especially concerning what God think. Any angle you look from..it's all about Him. This natural state you are operating in (the flesh) holds the key that open doors and it isn't all about you entering into Heaven. This deals with your life here on earth also. This unrepentant separates you from God.

And Satan loves this because..

He's is just plotting and when he receives the permission to move forward... and those fiery darts comes your way. You are going to have to operate in the full power of the Holy Ghost. One of Satan trick is when trials come..to cause confusion. He has a successful record of stirring doubt...you don't need any unrepentant during times of trials, nor in times of peace.

I have committed a multitude of sins, both big and small. But I cannot seem to be able to repent. I think what I did was wrong, but I do not think it was that big of a deal. I am not able to say with sorrow, "I have sinned against you alone Lord". What is wrong with me? Any advice is welcome.

It Is Personal

Then Job answered the LORD, and said,

I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.

Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.

Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.

I know you acknowledge you sin and you know it's wrong...then say you don't "feel" like repenting.

I think there is more at issue here .... are you angry at God? Believe me, you would not be the first person nor the last to be angry, frustrated and ticked off at God for situations they felt HE should have, could have intervened in.

Most often, that "dull" heart that doesn't "feel" convicted....well it's really a "bruised" heart that is suffering in woundedness....

This is what I suggest, take it or leave it, but here it is..

I want you to take a really close look at what has gone on in your life emotionally ...say for the last year..in relationships, friendships, career, education, family etc. While doing this find out where the "stake" was nailed into your heart....what hurt you the most and then see who it is you blame....

It's just an exercise....no big committment...but possibly you will find your heart is "wounded" not "unrepentant".

Blessings,

You might start by just acknowledging every sin you can think of to Him. He already knows but it might help you.

Whatever you do, don't start justifying your sin. As long as you can confess that you have missed the mark, there is hope for your future, even if you don't "feel" like anything has changed yet.

I find that my heart grows hard when I stop praying. Prayer isn't bringing your desires or problems to God, it's simply time dedicated to being in His presence. Nothing has to be "accomplished" except time spent in DIALOGUE.

And keeping the Word on your mind, in your heart, on your lips is key to a good prayer life. Read the Word and you'll know what to talk about in prayer....

I'm praying for a breakthrough in your life....may He come in like a flood!!

About 16 yrs. ago I got caught up in a situation where I sinned, not saying I haven't sinned since we all fall short, but your post so reminds me of what I not went through but PUT MYSELF THROUGH cause the Holy Ghost was calling me to repentance the whole time. But for a year or better after the fact I ignored the drawing of the Holy Ghost for repentance. I had a excuse for everything, "well if so and so hadnt done this.......or that.... I wouldn't have" I refused to take responsibility for my actions. Total pride on my part.

Well the Word warns us if we dont fall upon the Rock the Rock will fall on us. One Wednesday evening service the pastor preached on the passage of having a hard heart, mind you I had heard the passage a dozen times over my years of being a christian, but in this particular night the annointing was flowing so heavily I broke under it and confessed my sin to Him and later to the person I wronged and when I did the Holy Spirit literally came in like a mighty rushing wind and the peace and joy was unparallel to anything I had felt before.

But let me tell you for a period of time before that I was under such conviction it was horrible! I was angry, short tempered, scared, emotional.....you do not want to fall into the hands of an angry God! I'm sure it wasn't His pure anger but He sure was disappointed in me and I knew it!

Please carefully examine yourself. There is no justification for sin, and it will but a cement ceiling between you and Him and if you truly crave your closeness with Him, nothing feels worse than the seperation from our Daddy!!!

Genesis 6

11The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

12And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

14Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

So God says to Noah: "I will destroy all flesh with the earth, Make an ark"

How does Noah reply? does he take God at his word? does he believe that it is not possible for God to lie? (Titus 1:2 - God cannot lie).

Hebrews 11

7By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Genesis 6

22Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

Now, let's see if God did keep his word.

Genesis 7

6And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

7And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.

It is not possible for God to lie.

Now...

What will happen?

2 Peter 1

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

2 Corinthians 5

7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

9Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

11Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

so...

Proverbs 3

5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

8It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

2 Peter 3

13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

15And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation;

(remember - it is not possible for God to lie... (Titus 1:2) we all must appear before the judgment seat of Christ - that every one may receive the things done in his body - according to that he hath done - whether it be good or bad... - 2Cor. 5:10)

Acts 2

37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.

40And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

2 Chronicles 20:3

And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

Hey! Gerda... Praise the Lord both now and forever, in the name of Jesus, our God and King!

The power of the Lord's word is that when we take the time to put it into our minds, the Holy Spirit will illuminate it, here a little and there a little. This illumination does many things; like making the words we read to be Jesus to us, Spirit to spirit, so that we learn to know him better and better just like anyone else that we might spend the time with. The Holy Spirit also uses the scriptures to give us faith or the power to both believe the Lord's word and also the power to act upon that belief. The Holy Will also use the word that you put into your mind to purify your conscience, also little by little. So that the things that you once delighted in become points of conviction and our consciences are purified and we more and more see sin as the Lord does. So as we are in the process of being transformed by the renewing of our minds, and we give in to a particular temptation, the guilt that we feel will continue to grow until, if we are stubborn and yet stay in God's word, finally the Holy Spirit will use the knowledge of how miserable we will be will give us the power to say no. You may stumble again, but the guilt will continue to grow and grow as we stay in the word of the Lord. Then of course the Lord will move on to the next area in our lives and begin working on us there. Once all the outward sins that are easy to notice are dealt with, the Lord will begin working on our attitudes. It is about this time in our walk that we begin to feel a joy unspeakable and full of glory, where you will search for songs to sing to the Lord in joy with to express it. It is also about here that if one is out of fellowship with a local church, one will begin to search for one and then the candle light of your praise to the Lord will be made into a bonfire. Our emotions are like the caboose of a train. It will not change directions right away, but will eventually turn to follow the engine of our choices. So do not go by feelings, but rather stick to the godly choice made from reason and the emotions will line up after some time as we humans are resistant to change.

Those whom he foreknew, he did also predestinate to be conformed to the image of Christ Jesus.

That he(Jesus) may cleanse it(Church) by the washing of water with the word.

2Pet1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceedingly great and precious promises that we might be made partakers of the divine nature having escape the corruption that is in the world through lust.

there is a sorrow after the world that leads to death and there is a godly sorrow that leads to a repentance not to be repented of.

Come out from among them and touch not the unclean thing. Bad company corrupts good morals.

Holy Father, full of life and love, gather Gerda into your arms and take charge of this situation in her life. make your word to be the power of your might to her heart and mind and use it to set her free. Reveal yourself to her and give her a vision to follow you in service. Share your heart with her and show her the love that you have for us all. Magnify your name in her and give her a growth in the Spirit so that she can praise your name in Spirit and in truth in Jesus' name. Amen.

GH,

When I feel like this I start to be exceedingly thankful.

List all the things you are thankful for today. Strive to list alot of them. Mentally or actually write them down.

When you begin to see this list develop you will understand how much God Loves you and how much He has blessed you. Then your hearts desire will be to be pleasing to Him. You will realize that you can't please Him through your own efforts and repentance will flow.

Sometimes I'm just like Peter when I realize whose presence I'm in;

:b:

Lu 5:8

When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

Praying for you now.

Peace,

Dave

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
