Really, I'm not sure what the point of this op is and some of the responses are off the wall IMO. I do agree that global warming

is hokum though.

There are glaciers growing in some places while others are receding. In Greenland, about 150 yrs ago, animals were feeding

on pasture that is now glacier.

sorry too much Marxist guilt for me. I have heard so many terminal warnings for 40 years that were supposed to come true in 10 that I don't pay attention any more.

as an aside, I think Fez's statement has nothing to do with Marxism or any other ism. God is not responsible for people putting words in His mouth

and people do that all the time.

The entire globe is off kilter because of sin. Political agenda is the 3D chess game the devil has so many playing.

And Gary? does yr post have anything to do with what you believe may be the end of the world that you spoke about in another thread?

the one you thought it best to keep secret because of the misunderstandings that would occur if you spelled it out?

Just wondering...........

After 6 days of creating, God had a world that was beautiful and easy to live in for man who needed only to tend Gods garden. Upon disobedience unto God, God cursed the earth for man's sake.

I am positive that God knew things would not go that simply since satan was already parading around down here. Pretty sure God knew about that.

Who is destroying our world? The same one who has been attempting to do that since the fall.....satan, of course. But he won't succeed.

To Fez,

sorry too much Marxist guilt for me. I have heard so many terminal warnings for 40 years that were supposed to come true in 10 that I don't pay attention any more. I'm sure there are local cases like a slide from too much tree cutting or something like that. There are also 'solutions' that are silly. The LA shopping bag solution is protested by nurses who explain how much bacterial traffic is now going to come into stores on returning handbags, that were sitting where right before they were put on the shopping cart? Or the dam removal in our area. To get salmon to return? Then why aren't the salmon going to the streams right beside it? Because there is too much commercial fishing, which no one addresses. there's not enough salmon returning to start with!

But beyond all this, I'd have to know what destroyed means. A comet once struck and destroyed major life forms. Solar fires might strike and scorch the earth. But the comparison between those and various human impacts? Too small. A weakening of a system here and there, but not destruction.

That's not the kind of evil the NT had in mind when John wrote Rev. about those who destroy the earth.

It's not Marxist to know what's going on in the world, inter.

sevenseas: I have never spoke about the end of the world. I have spoken about the end of the age as far as the fullness of the gentiles being come in. I began to speak about it once and was shut down immediately so I have let it go. People can figure it out for themselves when things fall apart for the gentile church. I have no idea what your last comment is about as God knew everything that would happen including his cursing the earth and destroying it twice, once yet to come.

It's not earth-worship and environmental wackism nor any other derogatory term to care about the health of God's creation.

Would you drink of a river unfiltered and untreated? Why not? Pollutants and toxins. Who put the pollutants in there? Mankind. Us.

Who is responsible for the low number of oysters in the Chesapeake Bay? We are, by over-harvesting and by the pollutants and toxins in the Bay. No big deal you say? Tell that to the Chesapeake Bay watermen who have lost their jobs and livelihood because they can't harvest enough oysters to meet their needs anymore.

Who is responsible for the collecting in the Pacific? Mankind. Plastics don't degrade. And plastic garbage does cause animals to suffer and often die painful deaths. It isn't wacko/marxism/whatever to have a problem with causing animals to suffer needlessly.

To Fez,

there is a lot of unsupported guilt in that, Fez. There are a few systems that are weakened locally, but "destroying the earth" is way over the top, and as I said above I doubt that is what John in Rev. meant. Don't use liberal/environmental guilt as a tool for the Gospel, because it validates something that has its roots in a very different source. This kind of misunderstanding comes from too much reading the Bible apart from its historic sense, deeply interlocked with the situations of the 1st century.

God's destruction of the earth in 2 Pet. 3 is a very different question from the kind of environmental guilt that has people becoming plantarians (those who feel bad for using knives to harvest plants, so they only eat things that fall!).

What kind of things are you saying ? This does not make any sense to me.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
