I have two doctors in my immediate extended family. So I am not coming from an anti-medical position.

From the 1970's the medical profession has cheated the American people. As a child I remember my mother going over the doctor bills very carefully as were quite poor. And recall her on several occasions catching a charge for services or medicine we did not receive. "Oh insurance will pay for that." the nurse would say... and my mother trusted the medical professionals (being taught as a child they were second only to God). So she did not report the padding of the bills like she should have.

Today, medical care costs too much.

Obamacare does nothing... NOTHING about this. It only forces people to pay the insurance premiums... who later on the 1980's started playing the pad the bill right along with the doctors.

SJC Roberts' surprise vote is seen by those in the know as a political posture passing Obamacare so people will be forced to elect Romney to stop Obamacare. But Romney will strike down Obama's bill and make one in his own name doing the same thing as the Obama bill which is not dealing with the root problem and forcing the public to make the doctors and the insurance companies filthy rich.

And like the bail out for the banks no regulatory strings attached...

We are done for.

More than 3 million health insurance policyholders and thousands of employers will share $1.3 billion in rebates this year, thanks to President Barack Obama's health care law, a nonpartisan research group said Thursday.

The rebates should average $127 for the people who get them, and Democrats are hoping they'll send an election-year message that Obama's much-criticized health care overhaul is starting to pay dividends for consumers. Critics of the law call that wishful thinking.

The law requires insurance companies to spend at least 80 percent of the premiums they collect on medical care and quality improvement or return the difference to consumers and employers. Although many large employer plans already meet that standard, it's the first time the government has imposed such a requirement on the entire health insurance industry.

I dont believe it. He is not for this country in ANY way shape form or fashion.

Just curious if you have any clue what this is going to do to medicaid. Quite a few disabled people don't get enough to qualify for meidcare. I know the State I live in cut eye care for meidcaid patients at the beginning of the year. They are going to add 17 to 18 million people to the program. It is going to be limited to 3 band aids, and 3 Tylenol a year by the time all those people are added on. Some States are now talking about doing away with medicaid. For some of us this is downright frightening. Premiums are about to skyrocket.

Place your faith in Jesus and not the government. If you're on any type of government assistance, including employment, work to get off of it.

People are worshiping government instead of G-d.

How many welfare recipients will turn their back on government assistance, when the AC converts these programs into his new economic recovery plan?

I dare say none.

It won't matter anyway for Christians, for he'll kill us anyway.

Question, is Social Security and Medicare considered government assistance in your oppinion???

Obamacare provides funding to states to expand medicaid. The Supreme Court ruled that states may opt out of the new funds. I

f a state does choose to opt out, its citizens with incomes above 100 percent of the poverty line will be eligible for tax credits from the federal government to get insurance, but people below that threshold will remain the state's responsibility,

What North Carolina does is up to its governor.

Oh it's not only NC. All States have been cutting medicaid coverage.Ohio dropped Dental and chiropractic for those age 18 and older Sometime around 2004. LOL I didn't understand that one at all. NC had to swipe from the education funds to have the money for this year. It's sad really. No Doctor wants to accept medicaid because of how little they pay. I have been searching for a Doctor for the past six months. I've been ill a lot longer than that. Nobody wants to accept the medicaid patient. I can't imagine what adding so many will do. From what I have been reading the States will be expected to fund this because any other funding will be very little. There will be no choice but to drop some of the things that they cover. It's sad really. and expecting a business to oporate on 20%?? Holy moly that is cruel. So how are they supposed to pay their employees, let alone turn any profit?

Colleen, I agree with you that premiums are going to go up. About the Medicaid thing, maybe cutting out the fraud would cure that mess? I know five people personally who are on Medicaid fraudulently. All are working under the table or have a spouse who is working and claim they aren't living together. Of course, these are just people I know but how many are doing this I wonder? It seems states make NO attempt to make sure of need before paying the bills for these people; many of whom are illegally in the country.

Huge tax increase thats where the government plans to get the money to send to the states. Its the only place they can get it

the world would be stupid to loan the U.S. more money.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
