... use your brain for a second ...

... Its just speculation ...

These two will cause many to hear the fateful words "depart from me you worker of iniquity, I never knew you"

Jesus came to take away the sin of man and destroy the works of the devil. The sin of man is doing what is right in his own eyes and getting man to do so is the works of the devil. Doing what is right in your own eyes involves a lot of using your brain for a second to speculate about that which you don't know and leading one into sin.

I'll stick with what is written and believe that God created all land animals/creatures on the same day and not speculate further. If there is biblical evidence to suggest otherwise then I am quite willing to listen.

I don't think satan or any other angels have the power to create things. I think that is God's forte. I believe satan was thrown out because he wanted praise like God.

Angels do not have the equipment needed to procreate, angels are all male. When we start adding stuff to the Bible that is when we get into trouble. Just sayin

God bless!

Natalie

You don't get this from the Bible.... while scripture does say that Angels in heaven don't marry or have children, it does not say that they can't. and if they simply can't then why add the in heaven part in the first place and just say that Angels can't have children. It seems to me that you are the one adding to the Bible, but I'm prejudice about the subject.

to most people it really boils down to whether you think the Sons of God that mated with the daughters of Adam were fallen angels or not.

Every civilization, that has a written history, tell of dieties mating with humans and those offspring becoming powerful people, so it simply goes along with all recorded history for the Genesis scripture to be speaking of the fallen angels as the Sons of God. Ultimately it really doesn't matter what each of us believe for it looks to me like we'll know from experience in a short time period...... LoL and God help us all if I'm right.

Well I already covered that, but I am not above repeating myself LOL!

I believe the Bible is clear that they did and I think some people are so awful uncomfortable with that they don't want to know.

Perhaps they ask where was God while the hanky panky went on and why didn't He stop them? Probably for the same reason He

did not stop Eve when her trembling hand reached for that which was forbidden. Probably for the same reason He did not stop

her when she bit into the shining fruit and finding she did not die, she offered it to Adam. I actually think God may have held

His breath at this one for just a short bit...but that would be artistic licence

I don't think it will be quite that shortly...bunch of stuff still to be revealed but the devil is certainly on the job

Gary ~ the thing is, many Christians believe that there is more written in Genesis than a quick reading or even study suggests

That does not mean we are not saved and it does not mean we do not love God and do not love His Word

However, that very Word, while not a riddle, speaks of something occurring that we do not have full knowledge of...a battle in heaven?

One third of the angels fallen? To earth...do you suppose they went quietly?

I don't speculate on what the earth was before it became a wasteland with the Spirit of the Lord hovering over the waters or why

the Holy Spirit would be there....Jesus said He had to return to heaven for His Father to send the Spirit so each of us could be

indwelt by Him...so, sometimes I ask...now why was the Holy Spirit over the waters...what was going on?

I don't know, but reading the text, I definately get the impression something catastrophic happened prior to the Garden of Eden.

Now how could that send someone to hell? That, is not the criteria by which God will judge us. To say that it is, is going

way beyond what God Himself states.

I have never been uncomfortable asking God questions...I asked questions as a child and you know, He answered me.

I pray that I know God as He is and not as others see Him or represent Him. For that, I begin in the Bible.

I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

God actually had a vested interest in Eve and Adam eating of the fruit. We, accoridng to Paul, are destined to judge the angels, and it's really interesting to me that we "humans" were created not knowing good from evil....... and it was the dark one himself who is kind of responsible for "humans" being qualified to judge the angels..

God is sooooo cool....

Yes, I do believe I understand what your saying. I also understand the position held by some that Genesis 1 speaks of a destruction of the earth and a recreation. I have read all of the scripture used in support of this theory and completely reject it based on the fact that it does not fit in the total picture given by God as to what his plan is from beginning to end. It takes a fanciful imagination to paint the picture that spans over billions of years that ended in a flood with Gods spirit hovering over the waters of the flood. There has only ever been one physical world wide flood. For those who don't understand creation being creation and not recreation from a flood, why did God name the dry land after he created it? It was brand new having been called when it wasn't as if it was and it became. So he named it earth. Nothing had ever lived upon it before. There were no bones of dead animals buried in its layers. This is just deception prophesied about by Peter that their would be those who are willingly ignorant that by the word of God the heavens were of old. They would not believe the creation account but insist something else.

We, in our day, are given the opportunity to come out of the world and be separate from them with the promise that God will walk in us through his Holy Spirit. This is how he knows us and is pictured in the picture of a man knowing his wife. When Jesus says he never knew them he is saying clearly that they were not doers of the word but deceived their own selves and therefore never had God walking in them through the Holy Spirit. People who do what is right in their own eyes and do not seek that which is right in Gods eyes will never know the beauty and wonder of being filled with the Holy Spirit of God. They will spend their whole lives dreaming about going to heaven when they die only to be disappointed when they find out the truth when it is too late.

In Jesus Name,

Gary

I know people who have performed miracles! People can and do perform miracles, even today.

Jesus said this;

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." (John 14:12).

Its easy to say, "I believe in Jesus, and I this and I that, but many who say these things never do any great works, especially even greater works than Jesus did. When puffing up and fulffing ones feathers we must try and remember these words of wisdom from the mouth of Jesus! He said;

"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." (John 5:39).

Any miracles performed were done in the Name of Jesus Christ THROUGH the power of the Holy Spirit.

It is important to make that distinction in an age when the devil performs in miracles and people believe in the supernatural but not in God

(actually that covers just about every age)

I dont remember answering your question? Was I speaking to you? I dont think so! What I posted was for others who may be interested in reading what I have to say.

It IS a public forum and I am the one who asked the question.

I was not rude to you...is there a reason you think you should be rude to me?

OK...thanks Gary.

Again Gary, I take exception to you calling this theory deception (sorry for the rhyming couplet)

I would not teach this theory (and I have taught quite a bit, children included) but I would be lying if I stated that

I don't believe there is more than the 6 days

I do believe the Biblical record...however, I also believe that there is more just from reading the text without even

reading or studying any other writing or scritpure.

I am not adamant about it and I do not think it is deception. It has not changed my faith. It is just one more mystery that

I suppose will be cleared up when we see our Lord face to face.

I fail to see how you can make a connection between being a doer of the Word and a person not believing exactly like you.

There is only ONE Way to heaven and it is not whether or not a person believes there may have been a world in chaos

from a catastrophe prior to the creation of the Garden and its inhabitants.

The Bible assures me that if I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God and God raised Him from the dead and He

ascended and is in heaven interceding for me and the rest of us (as the perfect sacrifice on the alter in heaven and yes

there is one) then I am saved from the wrath to come.

I can assure you I have many questions and I daresay I am not alone. Neither you nor I will go to hell for not getting every single

verse in scripture exactly as God intended. That, would be works and not salvation.

Respectfully and I appreciate you taking the time to answer me :)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
