Halloween evil?

Well, it just passed recently, so thought I would ask this now. Before the obvious question, please allow me to share that many decent Christians dress up their kids, and they partake in an activity that does not seem to glorify the darker side of Halloween.

Now that I have coerced the discussion slightly, feel free to share your personal beliefs of celebrating Halloween.

Do you partake in the Holiday in any manner?

Do you partake only in the benign costumes, and even share Bible tracts?

Do you participate fully in Halloween, and see no problem with that?

Any other thoughts? Is it All Saints day? Is it Reformation Day, being 495 years to the hilt since Luther nailed the 95 theses upon the castle door? What do you think, as this is pretty important stuff.

one FACT, it is highly celebrated by witches, and it is their most powerful date of the year.... hmmm. YOUR THOUGHTS??

Here in the Uk it is normally just an excuse for yobs to throw eggs and flour ...... they must be running out of money this year as there wasnt as much around ( thank YOU LORD )

Why participate in an obviously Satan inspired celebration?......because your involvement is not helping. The Bible says Satan comes as an angel of light and so much of what he does look innocent, cute and even good.

On the topic of Halloween; I have to ask how many people stayed home in the dark and not hand out candy or tracts..HUH..Is this what Jesus would do? I think what Jesus would do is He would go out and heal or feed people and bring others to Him. So staying in a dark house watching garbage on t.v. is that what Jesus would want? or would He want you to plant a seed for Him and bring people to Him.

I think of the small town I live in and the many churches that are here and the on church that did anything for the kids was the Jehovah Witnesses.. and I think of how sad it is that the christian churches don't do anything for the kids..instead they stay at home and hide..When will people realize that WE need to stand up for the Lord and make a bold statement instead of hiding..

Why aren't the christians bold enough to go door to door to bring people to Christ?

Because satan has planted fear into our lives and we need to tell him to take a hike and never come back because we are washed by the blood of the lamb.

What would Jesus DO?

Do we want our kids to follow satan or God??

For my house we will serve the Lord!

To my family it's a day to get candy from the neighbors as well as hand out invitations to attend church..

As for the dressing up: tell me when you were a kid did you not play dress up in some form or another.. I think at one time all have one time or another...it's part of being a kid..don't deprive your kids of something that you had when you were a kid..Have fun with them and enjoy them and share the Lord with your neighborhood..

The most important part is to spend time with family..and sharing the Word of God with others..

Many will argue with me but ask yourself: What Would Jesus Do?

Would He hide in fear of what people thought? No, He would look for ways to bring others to Him..

Would He watch garbage on the t.v. to pass the time? No, He would be praying for the lost, hurt and others.

Would He condemn people to being out getting candy and planting seeds for Him? No, He would encourage them and bless them for sharing His love with others..

I can spend all day with questions on this.. I won't tho because it's time for us Christians not to run and hide but to stand up and go preach the Word of God to the World and not be ashamed.
