Matthew 24

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.

10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.

11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

When Jesus Christ return? Only God the Father knows.

Mark 13:32

32 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Matt. 24:36

36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

Is the Lord slow to fullfill His promises? No. He is patient wanting all who hear, repent, believe to be adopted in His family through Christ.

2 Pet. 3:9

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

There will be a time of recompense where we all will be repayed for what we've done - good or evil. This will be the Day of the Lord.Rev. 22:12

Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay everyone for what he has done.

God bless,

GE

I'm not sure which of Christ's return you are referring to the first (being caught up in the air) or the second coming (when Christ comes to rule and reign with the saints for what is known as the thousand year millennial reign).

I will assume you are referring to the first return of Christ (what some refer to as the rapture)?

The bible is very much clear "When"  Jesus Christ will return in the air.  Now I am by know means trying to be funny here or a date setter but this is the answer that I truly find in the scripture.  It is a very familiar passage of scripture that is heavily discussed among believers and is found in.........

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 - But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  ""For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The Lord will return "WHEN" those on earth hears a shout like they've never ever heard before.  As the Lord himself will descend coming down from heaven with a shout so loud the whole earth will stop in their tracks when it is heard ( a voice of an archangel and the trump of God the Father sounding.)  Every eye shall look up and see what that sudden noise is and they will see and witness the Lord himself appearing in the clouds.  As the saints shall be raised from the dead first then the saints who have been patiently awaiting his appearing will join them and Christ in the air.  Being taken from out of this earth.  It will happen when we hear a shout like no other shout or sound before or after it.  The beloved will hear his voice saying come up hither. It is not a date or time that will determine his return but it will be when this world hears a distinct separate sound like no other.  A mighty shout coming out of the voice of Christ.   It's the voice of Christ that the saints are awaiting and yearning for as we are anticipating our eternal home in heaven. Paul beseeched the brethren he wanted them to know what God was going to do so they would be prepared and not fret about seeing their loved one who died in the Lord prior to Christ return so they would be comforted by God with the fact they would again be joined with them in the air.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-4 - But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.  For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.  For when they shall say, Peace and safety:  then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.   But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.....continuing in verses 5-11.....

Paul says to the saints further I don't have any need to write to you about the times, dates or seasons concerning Christ return (first return).  Because you already know clearly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.  As it will be unexpected and many will be caught off guard thinking they are alright but will suddenly be caught unaware and they will not escape the coming things on earth that will follow Christ's return being the destruction that will take place on the earth during the seven year tribulation period they will be caught unaware not ready and be left and will not be able to escape that time period.

Then apostle Paul continued in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 - speaking further to the saint about the second coming also in this passage.  As you can see from  vs. 1)  Now we "beseech" you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, (being the second coming of Christ)  "And" by our gathering together unto him (being Christ first return when the dead in Christ shall rise from the dead first and then those who are still alive on the earth shall be caught up together with them in the air.

Apostle Paul earnestly "beseeched" the saints he wanted them to know about both as he already spoke in 1 Thessalonians concerning Christ first return and what would happen with their loved ones that had already presceded them in death.  That all their loved ones the saints who died in the Lord prior to Christ return would be resurrected from the dead first then the saints who are alive at Christ appearance will be caught up together with them in the air.

The Paul in the book of 2 Thessalonians is earnestly beseeching the saints about the second appearing of Christ is speaking about what will happen at the end of the seven year tribulation period in how that Christ will over throw the Anti-Christ who set himself up as God and had forced the people on earth to take his mark his number 666 and to worship him as God.  But Christ will come a second time and at his coming will overthrow the Anti-Christ.  Coming with the saints and set up his kingdom on earth and will rule and reign for a 1000 years in peace.   Where there will be no war or fighting on earth of any kind among the human race not among the animals on earth....Apostle Paul wanted them to know about both of Christ's return.

I think the Bible covers this very clearly.  The word of God says only the Father knows the time. No even Jesus known when it will be.  Until then we are to be a light to the world and preach His gospel.

As already stated no one knows. however we are told to watch for signs.

mankind has sought and found many things about the human body.

Science has been seeking to know everything and are getting close

therefore it will be soon As Ecc says they will not complete their goal.

Ecc 8:17

17 Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea farther; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.

thank you all for the wonderful responses.

here is my take.

no man knows the day nor the hour but the Father, but we have the signs and prophecy that shows us how Christ fulfills the meanings of the Jewish feasts.

this is from gotquestions.org:

1) Passover (Leviticus 23:5) – Pointed to the Messiah as our Passover lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7) whose blood would be shed for our sins. Jesus was crucified on the day of preparation for the Passover at the same hour that the lambs were being slaughtered for the Passover meal that evening.

2) Unleavened Bread (Leviticus 23:6) – Pointed to the Messiah's sinless life (as leaven is a picture of sin in the Bible), making Him the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Jesus' body was in the grave during the first days of this feast, like a kernel of wheat planted and waiting to burst forth as the bread of life.

3) First Fruits (Leviticus 23:10) – Pointed to the Messiah's resurrection as the first fruits of the righteous. Jesus was resurrected on this very day, which is one of the reasons that Paul refers to him in 1 Corinthians 15:20 as the "first fruits from the dead."

4) Weeks or Pentecost (Leviticus 23:16) – Occurred fifty days after the beginning of the Feast of Unleavened Bread and pointed to the great harvest of souls and the gift of the Holy Spirit for both Jew and Gentile, who would be brought into the kingdom of God during the Church Age (see Acts 2). The Church was actually established on this day when God poured out His Holy Spirit and 3,000 Jews responded to Peter's great sermon and his first proclamation of the gospel.

5) Trumpets (Leviticus 23:24) – The first of the fall feasts. Many believe this day points to the Rapture of the Church when the Messiah Jesus will appear in the heavens as He comes for His bride, the Church. The Rapture is always associated in Scripture with the blowing of a loud trumpet (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:52).

6) Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:27) – Many believe this prophetically points to the day of the Second Coming of Jesus when He will return to earth. That will be the Day of Atonement for the Jewish remnant when they "look upon Him whom they have pierced," repent of their sins, and receive Him as their Messiah (Zechariah 12:10 andRomans 11:1-625-36).

7) Tabernacles or Booths (Leviticus 23:34) – Many scholars believe that this feast day points to the Lord's promise that He will once again “tabernacle” with His people when He returns to reign over all the world (Micah 4:1-7).

and so i believe that if Christ is to fulfill the Feast of Trumpets, (which holds many parallels to a rapture of the Church), no one can know the day nor the hour because it requires a new moon verification on the 1st or 2nd day of the feast.

only the Father controls that big-boy business, and knows that exact time.

so to answer my question, i would say Christ will return for His bride in September of...any year now!

this year it will be around the 5th of September, next year the 25th... http://www.moresureword.com/FeastDates.htm

i pray to God i am incorrect though, and He comes right now!

until then, keep your ears open for that trumpet blast, and your eyes on the sky for our redemption draws near!

God bless

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
