ok I got a Q about this.

everyone seems to think Jesus went into the middle of ( down into )  earth to paradise. Luke 23:43

in 11 Corin 12:4 Paul is going up into paradise.

Is this one of those times; I can say I dont know which way is up or down

hi coheir

Paul spoke of Paradise after Christ's ascension.

Before Christ's ascenscion, Paradise was in the earth.

ok another Q

Bible says when Christ returns the dead in Christ will rise first. this makes one think they will rise from the earth or ground; but if they are in paradise which is up near heaven

I never did get figured out right ??????????

He is speaking of the natural, or physical.  it refers to our new glorified bodies.

the righteous dead are in paradise in spirit only.

Jesus did NOT go to hell, as in that place of fiery torment.. Hell is empty at the moment. He went to Hades, the grave, the place where the righteous dead awaited their Messiah. It is referred to as Abraham's Bosom, or Paradise. People refer to that as hell, but it is not the same place that the wicked and Satan and his angels are cast on the day of final judgment.

I heard that Christ went to the lands that did not know about him so that those poor souls did not go to hell.  It is not fair that someone go to hell because they lived in a primitive society with no knowledge.

He didn't do that, either. There were no Jews among them. Be careful that you are not influenced by Mormonism.

i'm happy if iv'e been any help brother.

i believe those references of sleeping simply imply "rest", a spiritual rest.

not sleeping in the sense of what we know as being unconscious.

Whenever you read the word "sleep" in reference to death in the Old King James (and beyond) lingo, you know it means death. That is the archaic way of expressing death. Our bodies die, but live.

Matthew 22:32

‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”

1 Peter 3:17-22
18 For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; 19 in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison, 20 who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water. 21 And corresponding to that, baptism now saves you —  not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience —  through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him.

Apostle Paul said he knew a man who was caught up to the third heaven no mystery as the scripture says plainly the man was "caught up"   According to apostle Paul (Ephesians 4) Jesus did descend and preached the gospel to the saints who were held prisoner by Satan.  Satan was stripped of his authority when Christ defeated him in his death, burial and resurrection as he ascended up to heaven.  Satan no longer holds the keys (authority) over the believers "bodies" keeping them bound and locked up in Abraham's bosom (paradise) for eternity without ever being released.  Satan no longer has that power over the bodies of the saints at their death today.   When Moses disobeyed God he couldn't go into the promise land as the result of his disobedience.  Whenever Moses died scripture states that the Lord buried him.  And when the angel came for the body of Moses scripture records that Satan came bringing railing accusations concerning Moses body but the angel Gabriel  told Satan that the Lord rebuke you.  Moses was a type and shadow of Christ as deliverer setting us free from sins bondage releasing us from bondage (held captive).  Just as Satan couldn't take the body of Moses in his burial in like manner he couldn't take captive the body of Jesus in his death, burial and resurrection.  Jesus on the cross shed his own blood giving his own body as the sacrifice for our sins to pay the ransom price to buy us back from the curse of the law (being physical death).

Our spiritual bodies now belong to Christ  at the death of the saints for he purchased our bodies back and now they belong to him.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
