No. No. NO! "Every man is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed...."

Thank you very much, I do not need any help from the devil to find temptation, I am doing quite well finding it on my own!!!!

Secondarily we do not know how many 'imps' fell with satan when he fell.

Thirdly where does the Bible ever tell us this 'lucifer' character is identified as satan? There may be more to think about here than we first thought!

Sorry, I forgot to ask you a question, Brother Fribinator: Where did you get the idea satan has power?

More like I was stunned by what you seem to be getting at. What are you hoping to prove?

Ok, thanks for the info, but one question still remains.

First of all, there seems to be some confusion. I never meant to ask if Satan was omniPOTENT. OmniPOTENT would imply that he is all powerful. I meant to ask if he was omniPRESENT, meaning everywhere at once. I was just confused how an angel could have such a quality.

Let me break this down:

We're all tempted by the Devil, right?

Millions of Christians around the world, at the same time, are being tempted by isolated occurrences that are not related, right??

Well, how is that not omnipresent? How can an angelic being be in millions of different places at the same time?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

don't think that ever single bad thing that tempts us comes directly from Satan. Most if it comes from our own personal selves and the nature that we have inside each of us.

The devil didn't make me do it, and I'm not so stupid that he had to show me that it was there to be done. I saw, and I did is the way most sin is done and the devil has little to do with it.

There are times when we do come across the devil (or his underlings) but that is a whole different subject

I believe we have free will.

We choose to accept or reject the Lord

we chiose to sin

The devil loves us sinning it keeps us apart from the Lord until we repent

The devil is a great part of Gods plan.

Some say satan could repent but wont because of pride I don't know if that is true or not but do believe that from the beginning the Devil was and is a big part of our desire for sinning and that our walk with the Lord places a wall that we can allow satan to get over or not. The Holy spirit is our strength in times of temptation.

But free will is what we have and satan loves that .

Ayin: Not trying to prove anything all that important. Just clarifying the passage that speaks about 'lucifer' is a poetic/prophetic passage, and that the Hebrew Prophets tended to speak in extremely far-flung imagery. I don't see why the passage doesn't just refer to the 'King of Tyre.'

Many people interpret it as referring to satan, and ergo lucifer becomes identified as satan in their minds, whereas nowhere does the Bible clearly make this claim. I don't think it's a terribly big deal, just an example of widely accepted tradition and sloppy Bible interpretation.

Replying to The Devil's power??

Hello Frisbinator

Your whole post on this subject is based in fables and man made stories handed down by the very evil that you are inquiring about.

The closest thing that you will find to a satan that has power would be pharos magicians. who turned their stafs into snakes.

The word satan is just that, a word, that means adversary, one who withstands.

This is why it was no big thing for JESUS CHRIST to call Peter satan when he withstood what CHRIST was trying to tell him.

Mt 16:23

But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Now do you think that a angel that was thrown out of what most people think is heaven would care about the things of man?

When you examin the scriptures, that they say, talk about the devil, lucifer, the covering cherub. ect . You will find that the LORD was speaking about a type of man that boasts himself to heaven.

Ezekiel 28:11-19

11 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

12 "Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord God: "You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.

13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created.

14 "You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.

15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.

16 "By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones.

17 "Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you.

18 "You defiled your sanctuaries By the multitude of your iniquities, By the iniquity of your trading; Therefore I brought fire from your midst; It devoured you, And I turned you to ashes upon the earth In the sight of all who saw you.

19 All who knew you among the peoples are astonished at you; You have become a horror, And shall be no more forever.

Isaiah 14

12 "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!

13 For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north;

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.'

15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.

16 "Those who see you will gaze at you, And consider you, saying: 'Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms,

17 Who made the world as a wilderness And destroyed its cities, Who did not open the house of his prisoners?'

18 "All the kings of the nations, All of them, sleep in glory, Everyone in his own house;

19 But you are cast out of your grave Like an abominable branch, Like the garment of those who are slain, Thrust through with a sword, Who go down to the stones of the pit, Like a corpse trodden underfoot.

20 You will not be joined with them in burial, Because you have destroyed your land And slain your people.

Before CHRIST came they were the Jews who turned from GOD into building a kingdom here on earth by merchandising GOD. After CHRIST came the focus of doing the same abomination turned to merchandising CHRIST. They will continue to prosper until the LORD sends HIS two witnesses to cut them, and the whole world, off.

Evil has been handed down in speach and teaching from father to son, by rulers by nations. ect. So yes Frisbinator evil is everywhere.

The devil is the father of lies who first murdered adam and eve with his trechery.

Joh 8:44

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
