I went to a church immediately after getting saved. Im not a morning person so to me going on sunday morning is blah. But I go to an evening church and I love going. I cant wait to go again. To worship. To be with my church family. And we are family there. Caring for one another. Joining together to worship. It is a wonderful place for me.

I immediately started seaking to go to church . It was "promotion sunday" in September when I was in the 7th grade. My mother's church was where I had attended Sunday School till the beginning of the 4th grade, but I was agnostic till the 7th grade. The pastor was not good, not inspired by th Holy Spirit . Our Sunday school was rowdy and uncontrolled and I didn't get much out of it, so I received permission to attend another church across the street. The Holy Spirit had convicted me to repent and put a hunger in me to read the Bible and to attend church. I was not baptized for a couple of years, though.

I feel revitalized after attending church and usually attend 2 or more services a week, but it is not a legalistic thing. If I am ill or unable to attend for any time I feel dry and empty. I can get our pastors sermons on the net and on utube but it is not the same as being in the company of believers worshipping. There is life and strength there and I hunger for it. We don't even have to visit with others; just being among other believers to worship in Spirit and in Truth is a real blessing.

A question for everyone, how long did it take for you to join a church after you were saved.

I happened to show up right after, that was partly due to other circumstances. I have since been looking at various churches but the aim is an every week sort of deal, and when a solid one is found maybe more.

What does the Lutheran Church believe in, of who Jesus Christ is. You'll have to forgive me. I'm not too knowledgeable on denominations.

This seems accurate right? What faults did you find in their church? (Confession, which teaches that all men are born in sin, and therefore need to be justified through faith in Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Along with faith in Christ, baptism is “necessary for salvation” and therefore “children should be baptized, for being offered to God through baptism they are received into his grace” (Art. IX).)

A question for everyone, how long did it take for you to join a church after you were saved.

This is kind of a hard question for me. I accepted Christ when I was 13 years old. About a year later I felt a I guess you would call it a calling to join the church. And so I did so.  When I joined I thought it was for life. It wasn't until I got married and moved out of state that I found out else wise. After moving out of state I of cores could not attend church regularly. But every time I went back to visit my home town, if I was there on a Sunday I would attend church there. About a year after I was married I got a form letter in the mail from my old hometown church. The letter said that since I was not attending regularly that they were considering canceling  my membership. They did give me the choice of letting them know if I wanted to keep being a member or should they cancel me. I was very upset! I mean I was in tears upset. Like I said I thought is was for life. Since there was no way I would be able to attend regular, me living out of state and all, I told them to cancel my membership. I was very good about it and wrote them a heartfelt letter about how I am unable to attend due to living out of state. Then they thank them for teaching me about Christ all those years I grew up there. Since then I have never felt the calling to join another church. I attend regularly, but I have never felt the need to officially join. If and when God ever moves me to do so I will consider it then. But until that time I am happy with just being a regular church goer.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
