Next, John used the color white 17 times in Revelation to represent righteousness. With this record, why would ANYONE think John would use white even once to represent evil? Anyone who makes the first seal to represent the antichrist is showing they have no understanding of chapters 4 & 5 that is the CONTEXT of the first seal. This first rider rides a WHITE horse because the church is the BODY of Christ on earth.

Riding a white horse in Roman culture was an indication of triumph or victory.  The rider of the first seal, a fallen angel, orchestrates the rise of the false prophet (11th horn of Daniel 7)  who is given a season of victory.

"I kept looking, and that horn was waging war with the saints and overpowering them." Daniel 7:21

"It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him."  Revelation 13:7

That's why the fallen angel rides a white horse going forth conquering and to conquer.  Its because he's victorious and he rules...for a season.  Yes, white is representative of righteousness.  That does not make everything white, righteous.  In this context, a white horse rider, its an indication of triumph or victory.

This is not even good or sensible theory.  GOD wrote this book, using John's help. Always remember, the devil did not write it. Sure, he would LOVE to paint himself white, but he did not get to write. GOD wrote it. If you wish to see what color God chooses for Satan or the Beast, go to chapter 17. God chose Fiery Red. Once again, think this through: John used the color white 17 times in this book, if I remember right. Every other time was to represent righteousness, as in showing the Bride in white robes. It is not senseable to even think in this one instance God would choose to use white for anything else than righteousness.

Next, you MUST consider the CONTEXT of the first seal. This context is the vision of the throne room in chapters 4 & 5. If you understand these two chapters, you KNOW the first seal was broken around 32 AD. Do you really thing something in 32 AD has ANYTHING to do with the Beast of Revelation 13? Such a thought would be preposterous. MAKE NO MISTAKE, the first seal is a rider on a WHITE horse, and that is to represent the church of Jesus Christ sent out to make disciples of all nations. Do you imagine that Satan would just step aside and allow the word of God to go into all nations without a fight? NO WAY. So there has been conquering everywhere the Word of God is preached in new places. OF COURSE over time the church has conquered.

LAMAD

Doubling down on irrelevance doesn't make it any more relevant.  The color of the horse is irrelevant.  The meaning of a white horse rider is what is important.  It signifies victory or triumph.  It doesn't mean the rider is righteous.  It means he is victorious.  That's a distinction I don't think you're making.  It's meant to indicate that the rider was victorious, not necessarily righteous.

Wasn't it Christ that conquered?  Wasn't it He who was given all authority in heaven and on earth?  Where does He tell the church to go forth conquering and to conquer?  What will they ultimately conquer?  That doesn't make any sense.  The church is to share the good news of Christ's conquest and disciple those who believe, not conquer, whatever you think that means.

In this case of course the color of the horse is important, just as with the other three horses. We can be sure that God planned every last word in this book, and He chose white. Remember, God could have chosen any color. Can you give an example scripture where white means conquest?

First we must understand how this Greek word translated as "conquer" here was used in other scriptures:

The KJV translates Strongs G3528 in the following manner: overcome (24x), conquer (2x), prevail (1x), get the victory (1x).

So what this horse and rider were really doing is OVERCOMING. This is exactly what the church had to do as the gospel spread from Israel. If you wish to consider overcoming, think of what Paul went through to take the gospel to the Gentiles. The devil hit him with everything he had, trying to stop him, but Paul just kept on. He OVERCAME. I am reminded of the missionaries in "the end of the Spear" and "through Gates of Splendor." Satan thought to stop the advance of the gospel, yet, one of the wives of the men who were killed went into the jungle and ended up getting many of the tribe born again. EVERYWHERE new that the gospel has gone, as required overcoming Satan's attempts to keep gates up and locked. If you wish to say the white horse means victory, then PRAISE THE LORD, the church has certainly overcome, for there is no place in the world today that the gospel cannot be heard in some manner.

OF COURSE Christ conquered death. But the church had to break down every gate Satan has put up, trying to keep the gospel out of new nations and places. MANY saints have lost their life as they spread the gospel. So the church has conquered and overcome also.

Here is where:  he does not use those exact words, but this certainly will mean overcoming.

Matthew 28:19 Go therefore[c] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Do you agree that this horse and rider is to represent the church? Do you agree this seal was broken in 32 AD?

Rev.6

12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him That sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17 For the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Rev.11

13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Rev.16

17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Those are more than similarities, they are the same event timing.

The day of Christ's wrath is on the last day of this world with His second coming, on the day of The Lord. These events of God's wrath were also given in the OT prophets about the day of The Lord events. Apostle Paul reiterated some of them with the "as a thief" timing in 1 Thess.5, as did Peter in 2 Pet.3:10 about the time of God's consuming fire burning the elements.

If the 6th Seal was to happen prior to the trumpets and vials, then it would mean the dragon's reign continues after Christ's coming on the day of The Lord with His final wrath of this world still pending. But per that 6th Seal, that is the time of God's wrath on the last day of this world, which is part of the day of The Lord events when Jesus returns.

Sorry, but if they were the same event, they would be recorded the same.  Much of what happens is different.  Do I really have to point out the discrepancies for you?  As one example, all have the word earthquake, but each have different levels, especially the one recorded in the 7th vial where it is stated that this earthquake will be worse then any other earthquake, while the one in the 6th seal just claims a great earthquake, and the 6th trumpet where one tenth of the city fell and killed seven thousand men.  You may be surprised that the first two are not the worst earthquake that has ever happened on this earth.  Look for yourself ... http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/world/most_destructive.php

What is going to happen when the 7th vial is poured out will be greater than any other earthquake, ever.  The all escalate in strength as His warnings/wrath pour out to mankind.

Per your view, Jesus was crucified four different times, since there are Four Gospel records that do not record His crucifixion with the same exact wording between them.

In Matt.24, it's a "great tribulation". In Mark 13 it's a time of "affliction". Not same wording, but same event.

So no legalist scribe-Phariseeism please, reserve that for the "Jew's religion" which is against Christianity.

So no legalist scribe-Phariseeism please, reserve that for the "Jew's religion" which is against Christianity.

So, are we PURPOSELY FORGETTING that Paul was a "Pharisee of the Pharisees?" Don't you know that "Pharisee" ("Paruwsh") means a "Separatist?" Not a "Separatist" FROM something, but a "Separatist" UNTO God's Word! They were NOT a bad group of people ... at first. However, the BRAND of "P'rushiym" (the plural of "Paruwsh") that existed during Yeshua`s (Jesus') lifetime were HYPOCRITES! They pushed THEIR interpretation of God's Word, which included a rigorous man-made set of rules that were NOT in the Scriptures but were supposed to make the mitzvot (the commandments) easier to keep.

And, a "scribe" is a Torah-teacher. And, he was one who was also responsible for copying God's Word to keep it preserved and legible. The Torah is simply Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy - what Christians call "the Pentateuch."

And, when are you going to realize that the TRUE "Jews' religion" is the worship of YHWH Elohiym, the LORD God, who is the God of Avraham, Yitschaq, and Ya`aqov/Yisra'el (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel)! And, don't think that they didn't have information about God's Messiah (Mashiach)! The prophecies of Daviyd and Yesha`yahu (David and Isaiah) are quite clear that He would be God's Son when He was revealed to them! Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53 are clear that He would suffer and die for the transgressions of others. The Jews' TRUE "religion" is NOT the same as that which has devolved today into an anti-Messiah form of "Judaism."

Please don't vilify that which you simply don't understand or trust. This original "Jews' religion" is the FOUNDATION for the Way, which we call "Christianity" today.

Because you fail to see that the events are each separate, you stoop to saying I view Christ being sacrificed four times because there are four Gospels, then you continue on to call me a legalistic scribe-Pharisee? This only goes to prove that you cannot support your view, so you turn to personal attacks.

You take four different views, by four different writers, and base Johns writing on a theory that because the Gospels were not written word for word, then the events in Revelation must be combined? Did you forget that there was only one writer of Revelation, not four? That is a very poor theory.

Perhaps, instead of attacking others who do not agree, you take a long look at how you view these events and ask yourself why was John moved by the Holy Spirit to write scripture the way he did, and why God divided these three events the way He did. Of course, that would require you to put your personal theology aside.

Since we are asking for things, please abide by the ToS and stop attacking/insulting others.

Here is the key to the understanding of the 7 seals of Revelation

These seals are symbolic portents of the prevalent conditions of the coming tribulation on the earth

They are not the actual events which begin in chapter 8

All 7 seals must be removed by the Lord before the scroll will open and the actual judgments will begin [Revelation 5]

1.The spreading of the Gospel of the Lord's coming kingdom

2.Intense angelic and human warfare

3.Worldwide economic collapse

4.Massive human death

5.Martyrdom

6.Cosmic and natural global upheaval and the human reaction to the Lord's judgments

7.Short period of silence just before the actual judgments begin

I believe that Revelation, Chapter 6 is an overview of the 70th week of Daniel from the starting point (the 1st seal) through the 7th vial (shown in verses 14-17).  i do not believe that Chapter 6 shows the entire 7 year period of Daniel's 70th week.

1st seal starts the 7 years of the 70th week of Daniel

2nd seal

3rd seal

4th seal is opened during the 42 month war with the saints

5th seal is opened during the war with the saints or during the great tribulation period

6th seal is opened at the end of the great tribulation period (compare Matthew 24:29 and Revelation 6:12).  The end of the great tribulation period is not the end of the 7 year tribulation period.

The 7th seal will then be opened, before the stars of heaven fall.  There is a short period of time between those events.  God did not show John the opening of the 7th seal at that time.

The stars of heaven falling refers to the first six trumpets and vials, which are concurrent events.  The stars of heaven will fall on the day of the Lord, just after the 7th seal is opened.

The 7th trumpet will sound after the first six trumpets and vials are fulfilled.  The 7th trumpet is when the Son of man comes to gather His elect (the rapture) from Matthew 24:30-31.

The 7th vial will then be poured out, after the 7th trumpet sounds.  When the 7th vial is poured out, "the islands fled away and the mountains were not found" (Revelation 16:20).  This corresponds with Revelation 6:14-17.

This is when the Battle for Jerusalem (commonly called the Battle of Armageddon) will be fought (Zechariah 12 and 14).  Notice that Jesus comes as a thief just after the 6th vial (Revelation 16:15-16).  The 7th trumpet will sound after the 6th vial, just before the 7th vial is poured out.

After the Battle for Jerusalem, the day of the Lord will come to an end.  Jesus will return to heaven with the elect for the marriage of the Lamb.

The events of Revelation, Chapter 19 occur after the 7th vial has been poured out and after Babylon has been judged.

The events of Revelation, Chapter 19 and 20 verses 1-6 will occur on the final day of the 70th week of Daniel.  There will be a 5 month period on the earth after the day of the Lord has ended, where the remnant are tormented by the stings of the locusts (Revelation 9:5-6) and feel the effects of the trumpet and vial judgments.

The Battle for Jerusalem (the Battle of Armageddon) will occur on the day of the Lord.  This battle is the Muslim nations attacking Israel and Jerusalem.  The return of Jesus on the white horses is at a later time.  The remnant of the armies left on the earth from the day of the Lord will be gathered to fight Christ when He returns with His bride.

Jesus will gather His bride on the day of the Lord at the sounding of the 7th trumpet; fight the Battle for Jerusalem as the 7th vial is poured out; and then when the day of the Lord ends, He will return to heaven to prepare for the marriage of the Lamb.

==============================================================================================================

Hey Jeff, the only conclusion I can come up with is that we're reading different Bibles.

If you could sir, please provide Scripture Support for everything after: "I believe that Revelation....."

With each absolute statement/postulate, Please post the SPECIFIC Scripture IN TOTO and underline/bold the parts that speak to and SUPPORT "your belief"; So as to assess the veracity, thereof.

Thanks

Hi, Enoch 2021.

What I posted is what I believe is the order of the events concerning the seven seals, seven trumpets and seven vials.  I am not trying to change anyone's opinion as to what they believe, nor do I really expect to.  I will show what I have found and maybe I will be able to convince some that what I have found is true.

Thanks for replying back Jeff.

What are your thoughts on Baseless Assertions, i.e., Beliefs proffered without Support?  Which when you get right down to it is....."Blind Faith".

I'm not trying to provoke anything with you.  I find that alot of people that I come into contact on these threads seem to think that when they are challenged to support what they say....it is somehow offensive and a personal attack....and it's the "challenger" that is in the wrong for having the audacity to even bring it up.

Please....
