There are so many times, when watching the news or reading items on the net, I have had that song come so clearly to mind....this world is not my home, I'm just a passin' through.....

Have you ever like a child said... Will it be long Father? Are You going to send Jesus soon?? Just like a child....are we home yet Daddy???? Will it be long???

Can you imagine all the Christians who are persecuted CRYING out to Jesus to take them home?

I feel deeply that we don't always appreciate the freedom we have (here in Canada) and even then we feel like strangers..pilgrims traveling to our eternal destination :sneaking: we have to be aware of the times we live in...

O am only too aware of the freedoms we in NA share and am acutely aware of the persecution of those who are Jewish even in NA. let alone all believers and Jews in Eastern Europe, Europe and Middle East and around the world. Perhaps that is why I wonder how long Our Father can tolerate this yet.....all in His good time. He is waiting for that one....who could have been anyone of us, yet He patiently waits while I selfishly wonder, "Father, how long?"

Same here ---how long can God tolerate this~~knowing how much it hurts Him to see His children suffer :(

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled."

When would that be fulfilled? Only Gods know the time for that and looking al the sign it might be very soon!

Amen. That song came to my mind as well. Angel, if you hadn't posted it I would have. But the other one that I thought of is "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus". Just fiixing my eyes on the face of Jesus and pressing closer to Him imparts so much strength.

If it's not for the promise of God that He will keep us until the end what would we do?

Deuteronomy 31:8

It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

This world is not my home I'm just a-passin' through

My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue

The angels beckon me from heaven's open door

And I can't feel at home in this world anymore

Oh Lord, You know I have no friend like you

If heaven's not my home then Lord what will I do?

The angels beckon me from heaven's open door

And I can't feel at home in this world anymore

I have a loving mother just over in glory land

And I don't expect to stop until I shake her hand

She's waiting now for me in heaven's open door

And I can't feel at home in this world anymore

Oh Lord, You know I have no friend like you

If heaven's not my home then Lord what will I do?

The angels beckon me from heaven's open door

And I can't feel at home in this world anymore

Just over in glory land we'll live eternally

The saints on every hand are shouting victory

Their songs of sweetest praise drift back from heaven's shore

And I can't feel at home in this world anymore

Oh Lord, You know I have no friend like you

If heaven's not my home then Lord what will I do?

The angels beckon me from heaven's open door

And I can't feel at home in this world anymore

Thank you, Angels4u, for this~ Joy  :)

I think being in this world ..... Even as christians we can't seem to agree on our own Bible. Which is the literal word of God.

I long to go from here. I long to see my Jesus. I long for His love and rest. Sadly I have much work to do before I will have that.

The world is so beautiful , waterfalls, growing grass, trees it is gorgeous, but the beauty is shaded by the evil.

God in His wisdom chose each of us. I long for the day we rise as those people together. Until then, there is much to be done, we walk in the world as strangers with a mighty sword the word of God, people are murdered daily for this belief. Because it is the only truth there is..

God bless your people and come quickly Lord Jesus I pray. Things are going to get much more worse Help us to endure and declare your word in power and boldness.

God gives me strength and He gives me what I need but listening to Him perhaps would change the way we see.

Just my thoughts...

-Will

Another one of my favorites:

You said You'd come and share all my sorrows,
You said You'd be there for all my tomorrows;
I came so close to sending You away,
But just like You promised You came there to stay;
I just had to pray!

And Jesus said, "Come to the water, stand by My side,
I know you are thirsty, you won't be denied;
I felt ev'ry teardrop when in darkness you cried,
And I strove to remind you that for those tears I died."

Your goodness so great I can't understand,
And, dear Lord, I know that all this was planned;
I know You're here now, and always will be,
Your love loosed my chains and in You I'm free;
But Jesus, why me?

And Jesus said, "Come to the water, stand by My side,
I know you are thirsty, you won't be denied;
I felt ev'ry teardrop when in darkness you cried,
And I strove to remind you that for those tears I died."

Jesus, I give You my heart and my soul,
I know that without God I'd never be whole;
Savior, You opened all the right doors,
And I thank You and praise You from earth's humble shores;
Take me, I'm Yours.

And Jesus said, "Come to the water, stand by My side,
I know you are thirsty, you won't be denied;
I felt ev'ry teardrop when in darkness you cried,
And I strove to remind you that for those tears I died."

I'm going to post this also with the video's :) I love to hear that song again! :heart:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
