Perhaps you need to look again at what life would have been like for you, 2000 years ago, and now ?

I'm sorry ,but I don't see it as material wealth as such ,as Jesus has told us His wealth is spiritual not carnal .I think that

those who only wish to continue  'lottery type dreams" ,are going to be very disappointed, and also  the idea of egotistical

individualism ,which comes from ownership of stuff, just for us as individuals will pass. . All will be shared ,as lustfulness will not be

allowed  .It is over personal ownership , that most sin is commited  ,most vlolence created .

We will leave our personal 'egos' at the door of heaven, and we will all be One in Christ .

Another thing that  religious people never mention is that much of what Jesus promised has come to be .

"Man cannot dream etc ........ Our modern technology like the internet ,the machines which allow us to fly to distant places in short

periods of time, the variety of foods ,and so on .Our ease of life in this day and age compared with the past ,mdern medicine

and especially surgery ,these all all here already . I do not take it for granted as I am older and appreciate Our Lord's work

as it unfolds  For those with the right attitude  ,much of 'heaven' has already come to earth .

Yes,I agree that we will leave materialism, greed and egos at the door of heaven. We will all be Blessed to just be in heaven with God.

Well, if the mere dust on the streets of the Kingdom are gold, then we can expect vast wealth everywhere around us. We are taught in scripture that everything on earth is just a shadow of what is in heaven. The word describes the foundations of the city of God and the massive gems that will mark them, as well as the gates.

If that is not the case, and we do not know until we get there, I don't need a mansion.

God does not gives us mansions because we "need" them.  They are an expression of His infinite goodness and grace.  And we cannot possibly know the glory and beauty of the New Jerusalem while on earth.

We still look at eternity and what it holds with our finite minds ...try as I might I have tried to compose a flower that has never been on the face of this earth...I fail miserably. No matter how I try to imagine the beauty and spender of heaven and eternity... I fail miserably. God has an imagination and creative hand and eye that I cannot comprehend..so though I have attempted to imagine my new home or the new Jerusalem ....I fail miserably...I cannot compare to the Master Creator/artist/architect of my future home!!

What I am trying to say is that should not be the number one thing we are focusing on.To look at all the treasures I will have in heaven.

We often perceive those things in heaven with our limited human minds.

If God considers gold to be dirt or pavement, I don't think that those kinds of riches should dazzel us either. Being in His Presence is all the riches I want. To worship Him with all the saints and angels is enough to blow my mind. We are to desire heavenly riches that thieves can't steal. So even though the New Jeruselem is discribed in worldly terms, I don't see those things as being riches at all. Being in our Father's Light, drinking from the River of Life, the Holy Spirit, in the Presence of Christ's majesty, in all the purity and love we can imagine is riches beyond measure.

I remember this topic came up years ago when I was Pastoring a church.  Here is how I explained it.  The word mansion is the best word to use.  If you used the word room or compartment in the Father's house, it creates an image of a boarding house kind of room.  Remember that little room Barney Fife was renting in that old lady's house on "Andy Griffith?"  It could be something like that.  The reason why mansion is a better word to use is to show the splendor of our dwelling place.  There are two ways you can look at this, and either is beyond anything we can imagine.  There is either one huge mansion, large enough for the Father and all of his children to live in, where each room is like it's own mansion, or you will have a literal mansion in the Father's House, and the Father's house means all of heaven.  The latter is what I believe to be true.  Nobody will be disappointed, and I would imagine that if BoPeep wants a small room, that can be arranged.  Personally, I would love a large, old style mansion with hardwood floors, and antique looking furniture, but to each his or her own.

I see nothing absolutely wrong with day dreaming about the splendor of our new homes.  Abraham looked for a city who's builder and maker was God and he did it  through the eyes of his faith.  I too am looking for a city who's builder and maker is God my eternal home.    My home down here isn't a permanent one so if it's heaven I'm dreaming of and the crystal river and a gold street I don't see the wrong in that.  It's where we are headed and God will be there.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
