The veil remains - it can be removed today, in Christ, but usually isn't.

2 Corinthians 3:14-16Amplified Bible (AMP)

14 But [in fact] their minds were hardened [for they had lost the ability to understand];

for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed [only] in Christ. 15 But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil [of blindness] lies over their heart;

16 but whenever a person turns [in repentance and faith] to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4Amplified Bible (AMP)

3 But even if our gospel is [in some sense] hidden [behind a veil], it is hidden [only] to those who are perishing; among them the god of this world [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelieving to prevent them from seeing the illuminating light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

God will remove the veil of unbelieve from a persons ears and eyes the minute they give their heart to Him..

2 Cor 3:14

But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away.

Right. Even though the physical veil was torn off, the spiritual veil still remains which goes only through Christ.

The truth is important, but not all truth is equally important. Someone tells me, I have one dollar in my wallet, but actually there are two. Someone tells me I have a bank balance of $300, when actually there is $30. Both of those examples are about money I possess, and both statements are false. The first false statement, is unlikely to have any negative effects, the second false statement, could lead my to make a bad decision. In those cases, I think the truth about the second case, is more important than the first case.

Some subjects are more important than others, in those cases, the truth can be extremely important. At the same time, intentionally telling someone they have $1.01, when they have only $1.00, is enough of a sin to earn eternal separation from God, so seemingly little things, can still be very important - still based on the outcome of things. I did not read the whole thread . . . is there a reason to ask the question?

If it is just about the truth of the Gospel, no question nor answer can be more important, but, it is not necessarily knowing the truth that matters, I think Satan knows the truth.

Yet the scriptures say there is sin unto death, and sin not unto death.

  • 16If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death; I do not say that he should make request for this. 17All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death

All sin does not have the same gravity or result.

they "may" be brothers in/with ekklesia?

That doesn't sound very certain.

What is truth ? if this is the question, then lets go this way , who wants to know the truth ? who will except truth ?

for the truth has been told , by the words of God and the scriptures for all to have and to see, for the bibles that are available , and to those that hear the teachings, to those that are broken and need  a savior, to those that are in need and see the hope, we all need truth , and we have truth , but who wants it anymore, ? the apostacy  that is talked about , is the falling away from the holy God and to follow the path of self, and the masses that shake there fist at God and say we don't need him , we don't want your truth , we want our own Gods , and our own lives separate from the true and living God,

and for those that want and follow truth and try to seek truth with scripture and in want, they find truth , but then we have those , that wants to destroy your truth, for it is a offense to there life and there beliefs, so what is truth , Gods word,  the heavens and earth shall pass, but Gods word Yahweh s word remains, so when we say what is truth, its more like who wants the truth , and who rather live a lie ?

It is the only thing that matters to me.  Giving people hope is a must, and proving what I believe is a must as well.  Because if I do not have proof to back up what I believe, then I am nothing more than a puppet.  I speak what others have told me, without knowledge, and most importantly, understanding.  We need to push truth, and pull back on our own thinking.

Here is a great response which shows the essence of having truth - it is for sharing with others - caring about another's salvation, and caring more for the honor of Christ than "our own thinking."

If it is just about the truth of the Gospel, no question nor answer can be more important, but, it is not necessarily knowing the truth that matters, I think Satan knows the truth.

Yes, and it has to do with the times, for example, the most important truth in the days of Noah was to board the ark.

In Sodom, it was to flee the city.

In the days of Moses, it was the blood of the lamb on the door posts.

In John's day, it was to repent and be baptized.

In Luther's day, it was to go to no priest, except Jesus Christ, for the free remission of sins.

I wonder what the most important truth is today?

Revelation 14:6, - "the everlasting Gospel" calls for (1.) worship of the Creator "who made heaven and earth," (2.) it recognizes the failure of the systems of religions based on old Babylonian doctrines, and (3.) it warns about receiving "the mark" of the beast - false religion backed by civil authority. See chapter 13.

PS. False religions are all the religions of the world, except the pure teachings of the Bible. That means all religions are false, - except one.

So what is the only true religion? It is very clear and simple for all to know - Revelation 14:12. In the same chapter it states "Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."

As Christ said "If you love me, keep my commandments." Would God ask that if we could not be loyal to Him? The Love of God changes people, it removes sin from them and gives them a new way to live - in love, with the natural outcome of obedience.

Without faith in that, it is impossible to please God. So we have no choice in salvation except to fully trust Him - despite all appearances, and we do not consult with our feelings, or self assessments, but we trust in His power to bring something out of nothing - we worship the Creator, who turns darkness into Light. We walk by pure faith.

Further reading, - Genesis 2:1,2. Exodus 31:13-17, Hebrews 4, and 8:10 - 12, I John 5:3, Revelation 22:14.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
