Left wing, Right wing..... Liberal, Conservative, middle-of-the-road.

What political leanings do you think best suits Christian values and why?

What is your personal political leaning?

Have your political views changed over time? Do you see scripture giving us political hints?

I realise that some political definitions can be vague and their meanings have changed over time, so if you refer to yourself as an 'eco-Marxist conservative libertarian, pragmatist' please explain what you mean by that.

That sample definition was a joke by the way...... before anybody accuses me of creating a political oxymoron.

And no, I'm not going to start by going first, but I think most of you have an idea what my political leanings are. I might jump in later.

I have work tomorrow so I'm soon for bed.

Hi Oak, I am from the UK (Northern Ireland) and still a UK citizen, I voted Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) at the last election, I was very involved with that party when I lived full time in Northern Ireland I was a child at the tail end of the troubles but remember some atrocities and couldn't believe that all those murders from both side were getting out of prison, and the Sinn Fein were getting into government. On the wider sense I am pretty conservative, I believe that tax is a means of raising money to keep the government running, not a way to socially engineer society by redistributing wealth. As a Christian I am also against abortion on demand, this plays a lot on who I vote for. In Northern Ireland I would vote DUP, England the Conservative Party, and the USA the Republican Party.

There is no political party in this country (U.S>) that I know of, which represents my views. If there is one, I certainly do not see it as electable.

The main things that I would want to see, is a balance of freedom from government and regulation for order. A practice of allowing people to keep more of their income and assets, and let them choose where to place those assets into the private sector, becuase I find usually, government institutions have a way of producing red tape, inefficincy, and slowness to react to needs. There is also a tendency for the government to start things, and then when they fail to produce positive changes ( and often do more harm than good) just add more layers and more expense, when they deserve to die out. Government's main focus, seems to be to grow itself.

Another thing I want to see in a party, is the recognition that morality is not relative, it is absolute, and that religion has a beneficial role to play, and that it also, should be allowed to compete without government interference.

I would like to see an political attitude, that believes that what is best, is not always what seems fairest, and that fairness, does not equal equity of outcomes.

I am probably a little bit radical, in my belief that I do not think everybody should vote. In fact, I think that is the scariest aspect of a democratic voting system, since the majority is quite capable of making wrong decisions. If that is not the case, why don't we let 5 year olds vote too?

Of course, until Jesus returns there is only one viable solution.

Revolution...

Turning the government over to a mob is just as bad if not worse.

I am a right wing conservative, pro constitution, pro small government, but I don't consider myself  "Republican"  anymore.  Republican no longer stands for conservative.   Republicans and Democrats want the same thing, but the difference is that Democrats want it faster.

More and more Republicans are endorsing gay marriage.   One will have to in order to be seen as even remotely electable.

We no longer have a two party system.   I am really not represented by any party at this point.

We need a godly, pro-Constitution, pro-Israel president who will put America and Americans first.

Not necessarily a violent one, but our government does need revamping. Perhaps as far as 1776 standards, but I think our current party system needs done with, probably 95% of those in office fired, and new people drawn from the working ranks put in their place.

Growing more and more libertarian but not 100% altogether because I understand we have to have laws to govern things or there would be anarchy. I am for small government and for the government to be held accountable for balancing the federal budget. I am not politically correct nor ever will be as I cherish my free speech and hold it up in very high regards because blood was spilt that I may have the freedom to speak my mind. I vote Republican all the time as there is not a party that really represents all my political views that I can agree with thus far, but as for keeping more of my freedoms I am leaning more towards the libertarian party.

I have never been demoncratic in any of my political views that I can remember as I have always seen them stand for socialistic views as long as I can remember, as I've always viewed them as communist in nature. I might get flax for that view but the party itself stands for abortion, homosexual agenda's ect., and socialism, to take over everything and then distribute everything evenly when that is a principle that can never ever be met or done, as it is an impossible task that will never work.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
